Excellent and friendly customer service. Maybe a tad pricey but I'd gladly pay a little extra for honest customer service.

Mavis Tires & Brakes…read more We've been to Mavis now for tires and brakes thinking they would be good because they seemed to be professional. Here's how it went: The Good: -- They are professional. Each interaction with the people was good. They are helpful, explain what they are doing, and answer all questions. -- The service is relatively fast. -- Waiting areas are pretty clean. -- Easy to schedule an appointment online. I got one for my brakes same day. -- Decent selection of tires. The Not So Good: -- Expensive -- Expensive -- Did I say expensive? Let me qualify this. -- Tires are about 50% more than a place like Walmart or Costco where you will get a similar product with no noticeable difference and similar warranty. -- I got my brakes (all 4 wheels) done about 2 years ago at a different shop for about $800. Mavis charged me $1100 for 2 wheels! -- you can go to auto zone and get all the parts they used for about $450 vs the $670 they charged me -- Labor is a set price for working on a set part. It is NOT per hour. $416 for labor that took a total of 1 hour and 20 minutes. To put this in perspective, that is the same as a junior airline captain. Bottom Line: We went to Mavis out of convenience and necessity. We will NOT be going back. Save your money and go someplace else.

Horrible experience at the Mavis Tires & Brakes location off of Hwy 96. I scheduled an 8:00 AM…read moreappointment for a brake and tire inspection; however, by 9:00 AM my vehicle had NOT been serviced and still remained in the parking lot. When I inquired about the delay, I was informed by the front desk that multiple additional customers had been overbooked during my scheduled appointment time. Appointments should be honored and customer time respected. Due to this experience, I will not be returning to this location and cannot recommend it to others.

I then took my vehicle to Precision Tune Auto Care for a diagnosis, but instead of addressing the EVAP issue, they told me I needed new spark plugs. I agreed to the work, but before I even left their shop, the check engine light came back on. When I returned immediately, they scanned the car again and admitted the code was still for the EVAP system, not spark plugs. The manager "giggled" the gas cap, cleared the code, and sent me on my way. The next morning, the check engine light was back on. I then went to a different shop (Riddle), where they were honest and transparent. They confirmed that the issue was in fact the EVAP system, and even informed me that VW may cover the repair at no cost. When I went back to Precision Tune, they handed me the spark plugs they supposedly replaced, but could not provide any proof from their scanner that my car ever showed a spark plug-related code. This experience left me feeling that this business is not trustworthy. They charged me for unnecessary repairs and failed to fix the actual problem. Please beware when considering this location for your automotive needs.

Immediately after charging my card, the hood was closed and I was told that they could no longer start the vehicle due to an electrical issue and I would have to have the vehicle towed from the premises. I vehemently objected and insisted that they repair the damage to my vehicle. I was told that they know nothing about the electrical system and insisted that I have the truck towed from the Jiffy lube premises. It was determined that Jiffy Lube damaged the fuel control module, the electric lift pump and/or the cabin fuel fuse. when these three items were replaced the truck started and again has operated flawlessly for the past eight months without issue. Jiffy Lube ahs taken and maintains that the non start status of the vehicle predated my visit to Jiffy Lube and refuses to pay for the damages they caused. This is of course outrageous, ridiculous and impossible because the vehicle was started and driven into the shop.

I was worried they'd be stacked up, being the Saturday before Christmas, but I rolled right in. The oil was low; they checked for leaks but found no obvious problem. Great experience!
