My primary home is in Minnesota. I have been kickboxing for the past year at a local gym, but I am spending 6 weeks in Melbourne at our vacation home. I found Killer Bees on a website and it is hands down, THE VERY BEST!!!! I immediately received a warm welcome from Nikita. She couldn't have been sweeter or more accommodating with my situation. Nikita is a phenomenal instructor. She is creative and fun but don't let that fool you. Her class is a CARDIO EXPLOSION in the best way possible! Israel taught a few of the classes when Nikita was unavailable, and there is a reason why he is a MASTER! He delivers the same cardio punch with an eye honed in on detail and correct delivery of every hit or kick. They both concentrate on form and delivery with safety and effect in mind. I came here hoping for a class to get me through my time gone from my home gym, and ended up finding a place that well exceeded my expectations. I am truly sad about leaving, and I can't wait until I get back here!!! You couldn't hope for a better place! They will transform you and help you reach or exceed your goals!!!!! American Killer Bees is BY FAR Melbournes hidden gem. It's very affordable, great atmosphere, really friendly people, and you always feel welcomed there. Nikita and Israel are phenomenal instructors and they really care about you. Unlike other gyms that offer "kickboxing" (I use the "" because most gyms it's just someone that doesn't know what they're doing telling people to punch a bag with terrible form) the instructors here are top notch and focus on form over everything. If you think the exercises will be easy, THINK AGAIN! They push you to your limits, but that gives you the best results. I started doing their kickboxing class two months ago and I've already lost 12 lbs (I'm a male and I was 220 when I started). Since then I've signed up for several of their other classes for many reasons, but mainly because they are fun! You honestly feel like you are part of a family which was great for a young guy like me moving down here without knowing anyone. I LOVE this place and I can't say enough positive things about it. Absolutely love being a Killer Bee! I started here nearly two years ago with cardio kickboxing, and now almost a year into jiu jitsu. Every class improves us mentally and physically. I'm eternally grateful that Israel and Nikita chose Melbourne to be their home. I never would've imagined myself being this active but now I can't fathom life without it. Cardio kickboxing is an amazing full body workout. No matter your fitness level, Nikita will kick your ass. You will leave class drenched, but it's so worth it. Brazilian jiu jitsu is a whole different beast; I don't even know how to explain it. We've got such an amazing team, and Israel is a great professor. I'm not at all a morning person, but now I'm waking up at 6am three times a week for class. Don't hestitate to come by the gym! I did occasional drop-ins at american killer bees from orlando (i rode 160 miles roundtrip) at first when i visited family. One of my main reasons to move into brevard county was american killer bees. The inviting energy and family oriented gym created a warm aura. When I officially moved to brevard county, i was in an a vehicle accident the same day. Even with physical therapy with spinal and hip injuries, Professor Israel and Nikita helped my recovery journey immensely by altering positions and moves to better loosen my movements. It's finally been a year here and i've already lost 20lbs. You won't find another martial arts gym in brevard county with the same passion and experience that Professor Israel and Nikita have. read more

For the past two years I have loved going to this gym. Trying to get back into shape I chose to start with Nikita's cardio kick boxing to start and it was exactly what I needed. The workouts can be as tough as you want to make them and Nikita gives an incredible energy that welcomes all newcomers and makes the workout fly by. There is even equipment to use even if you're not hopping in a class. On top of all of this, Israel gives awesome instruction in Muay Thai and BJJ with a lot of really good training partners. This place is absolutely phenomenal. I was going to be gym every day and just not feeling motivated anymore. Now that I've made this switch and lifestyle change, I go every day and sometimes even twice a day if my work schedule will allow it ! I joined this gym as a recommendation from an Orlando gym and I have no regrets. My only regret was not starting when I moved to Melbourne. I attend the Muay Thai and BJJ classes and they are great!! I been training at AKB for the last 6 months. Coach Israel trains me in muah thai and jiu-jitsu, my wife and oldest daughter trains with his wife Coach Nakita in Muah Thai and are 2 younger girls train with Coach Kim in Jiu-jitsu.
