Despite my consistent workout routines I could not seem to manage the nutrition aspect of my journey and as I entered my 40s things seemed to become more complicated. For years when I wanted to lose weight I would enter an extreme calorie deficit, swear off carbs and ramp up my protein intake. I would measure and track food meticulously to ensure that everything that I ate was being tracked. This was tedious, time consuming and was not sustainable due to my family's busy schedule. Inevitably I would fail and when I would fail I would give up completely and end up in a worse position than when I started. In only two meetings Betsy was able to share insight that has helped me leave my diet mentality and truly begin to fuel my body and my metabolism in a healthy way. In the eight weeks since I began working with Betsy I have lost 11 pounds, 3 inches around my abdomen alone and 2.5% of my body fat. I have been able to do this without utilizing my kitchen scale or my food tracking app. I have not tracked a single macro or micro since visiting with Betsy. While the thought of not tracking initially gave me anxiety, it has been the best thing for me and I cannot even describe how freeing it has been.
