Thieves. I signed my…read moreelementary school aged nephew up for a 3-month membership so he could try it out. My nephew lives in the area & I live in California. We have different last names. It took me a while to realize that after the 3-month period ended, I was still being charged. After tracking down Edgard, the owner, he would only communicate via text. After some crazy back-and-forth it turned out HE USED MY CREDIT CARD TO PAY FOR ANOTHER CLIENT'S CLASSES. I realized this, that's right, I realized it, he didn't, after he sent me some screen shots (I'll upload them here), showing the picture and personal information of an adult man, John Meyers, who is decidedly not my elementary aged nephew. Also, please note that that Edgard also sent me private information of one of his clients. What's worse I doubt he realizes what a violation this is. Edgard said he would return my money in a few days. He did not. I asked again after a month he said he needed more time to figure out how with his team how this happened. I told him he could figure that out on his own time. He still did not refund my money. I went to my credit card company and they did refund partially but since some of the charges were so old they would not refund those. They attempted several times to contact Edgard but he would not answer his phone or call them back. His actions are unethical, inept, and with zero regard. Do business with this person at your own risk. **I was able to track down John Meyers and spoke with his wife who had realized that they were not being charged & thought it was odd. After many months they were also unable to get Edgard to speak with them. Unfortunately, even though they know that I paid for their classes, they did not offer to give me back the money either.

I started out with my son and found it to be a great bonding experience for the two of us. He has since left for college and I keep going because it has become a great part of my life. I'm almost 50 and in possibly the greatest shape of my life thanks to this gym. There are lots of other people to roll with and everyone is super friendly. The owner has a good sense of humor and teaches very clearly. The technique definitely works and you get an opportunity to test it out as new people of all shapes and size come join the gym regularly. There is always someone better for you to roll with and if you hang around long enough, there will be more and more people you are better than. It's fun either way.

It was my son's first class that he took where a parent did not participate with him which was very beneficial for him to learn to be more independent and to listen to instruction from others. He has even been learning some jiu jitsu skills which is impressive for a nearly 3 year old! In the kids class, they incorporate jiu jitsu skills as well as add in fun games to keep the kids active and engaged. I would highly recommend bringing your toddlers here! My son is definitely developing a good foundation of discipline, respect, and defense skills.
