If I could give 10 stars I would! Everyday that goes by I am more and more impressed with Martial Methods. We were referred to Martial Methods by our sons old dojo and now all three of our children attend. The experience has been beyond anything we could have hoped for. Sensei Morgan and the entire team are truly exceptional, they are all patient, motivating, and genuinely invested in each student. Our son started about a year ago and we have seen a remarkable difference in his confidence, discipline, character, and self control since joining. Since our two girls have started and we have already seen a change in their confidence and self esteem as well. They each look forward to every class, and as parents, we couldn't be more grateful for the positive impact Martial Methods has had on them. This is a great place for children to learn martial arts. Sensei Morgan is an excellent instructor with a Black Belt in traditional Shorin-Ryu Karate and a master in the Israeli combative system of Krav Maga. The classes are well structured but still fun for the children to learn. She teaches the children to protect themselves and to stop practical threats. She always emphasizes discipline to the children both in class and at home. Children learn martial arts katas and learn to spar with other students to be prepared to fight if necessary as well as gain experience for tournaments. We started with Martial Methods shortly after they opened, and after, I went through a rough time following divorce. The instructor not only allowed us to start with just my word. She treated my children with so much respect. Morgan helped us all forget about what was happening behind the scenes. When my babies get on that mat, it's all business. Two years later and me and my babies and I are more than one single mom and four who walked in looking for hope. We have become a tribe. The moms, the kids, and all of it have been a huge blessing. Joining this dojo almost two years ago was the best thing ever! It's way more than just learning cool kicks and punches. I've built super strong confidence, learned how to be a leader, and trained my body to be strong for anything life throws at me. If you're looking for a martial arts school that does more than just teach physical moves, this is the place. The leadership training here is second to none. My son is learning practical, real-world self-defense skills, but even more importantly, he's building focus, discipline, self-confidence, and healthy habits. They even teach techniques like visualization to help the kids reach their goals. Seeing his growth as a leader has been amazing. My 5 and 9 year old have been attending classes here for over a year and they both love it! It's amazing to see how far they have come in such little time. Sensai Morgan has the perfect balance of kindness and firmness. The kids truly love and respect her.
