Customer service was absolutely fantastic and Tyler W. was accommodating and gave us clear explanations as to what was wrong. We received a text message with a picture of the employees so we knew who to expect and what they looked like. Arlinghaus has to send another worker out to discuss prices on a new furnace. Tyler was able to get our furnace working temporarily as we look into buying a new furnace. It cost $89 for him to come out and diagnose the problem. They will remove this from any extra work they may need to do. Unfortunately, in the end we could not afford even the lowest option they had for a furnace. They use a top furnace line brand and are more expensive then the national average. This was the only draw back for me that it was to expensive and I did not want to enter into a loan for a $7,000 furnace when the average homeowners pay is $3100. Regardless, they were transparent and did not pressure me into anything we didn't want to do. I highly recommend Arlinghaus for their professionalism and honesty with their customers.

They installed a system too small for our needs and were generally rude, so I was apprehensive to hire another A/C company. In the summer of 2019, I contacted a few A/C companies and had them come out to our residence to provide quotes for a heating & cooling system. Our's was from 1992, so we knew we needed something that was going to last. FutureAir came out, provided a very competitive price, and lots of information. We set-up our appointment, they arrived on-time, and were gone before late in the day. They mostly kept to themselves, but worked very hard. Cleaned up after themselves and the unit has been excellent. In the spring of 2020, our rental property in Oakley was having A/C issues. I wanted to give FutureAir another shot to and they handled it excellently. This was during peak quarantine, and they were able to assist our renters while we stayed from afar. They got that system running and tuned-up and I've heard from our renters that its still working very well. In the summer of 2020, I contacted FutureAir to provide a secondary system to assist the primary system installed from the first company and our business. They came out, got some measurements and provided another very competitive quote. Our building NOW feels cool and professional. We've used FutureAir for two installations, a tune-up, at our home, our rental property, and our business, and I have only glowing things to say about them. I can't imagine using anyone else going forward and hope you get the same professional help that we have.

They have fair pricing and stand behind their work. They are the best. My central air system broke down on the hottest day of 2019 and upon calling Future Air they were at my home 3 hours later that same morning and repaired my system promptly and correctly. I can't say enough good things about them, they are honest and trust worthy and provide knowledgeable experienced service technicians. Their commitment to providing a great experience for every visit over the entire 20 years shows that they care about both the customer and their reputation. They arrive promptly on time every for every appointment and I did have to use them after hours once and they were great to deal with then as well.

I was charge $1400 to have my sump pump replaced (a 20 min job). When the technician was at my…read morehouse he mentioned the total charge as I had not received a quote from the company. I commented that $1400 seemed pretty high. He pulled up the cost of the sump pump on his device. The sump pump the technician installed was $350. He said that if I provided my own pump I would be charged $600 to have them come out and install it. So, my question was, what are the additional $450 for? I am ok paying it, if I know what I'm paying for, but the information from the technician just wasn't adding up to the full charge. I reached out to Five Star to ask for an invoice. It came with a one line summary of the total cost of the work. I asked if they could please send an itemized invoice and explained the reasons I just mentioned above. After a bit of insisting, they forwarded my request to the manager. This was his response: ---- Hi Veronica My name is Garrett and I am reaching out to you regarding a sump pump we did for you on Sunday. I understand there was some confusion about the charges, I am here to help! So as far as a full breakdown goes, We pay around $350 -$400 for the sump pumps, and labor comes in right around $600. The remainder of the charge goes towards our 1 year workmanship warranty, administrative tasks such as tracking, scheduling and being a support system here for you if anything were to happen with it. We stand behind our work 100%. All of our pricing is flat rate, so breaking it down can be challenging in the sense of the charge does not change if we ended up taking longer to install the pump for you. We do it this way for the customer experience, as some plumbing companies do charge per half hour or hour, and can exploit the consumer by 'taking their time' so to speak to run up the bill. We always try to be transparent with our pricing, and just know that we are here to stand behind the workmanship and product we installed for you. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with. Best, Garrett Sowers Customer Relations Specialist Five Star Home Services (614) 245-3954 garrett.sowers@fivestargroup.com ---- My response to his: You charge $400 for a one-year workmanship warranty??? That is literally the cost of a brand new pump!! I'm not sure how that doesn't sound ridiculous to you! I also pay the $40 monthly "membership" but there doesn't seem to be much benefit in that either. It just seems unusual that a company refuses to provide an itemized invoice for work performed. I am sure that if you had work done by anyone, you would hope to be able to see what you are being charged for. I need my heating and air unit replaced but I am very glad I had the sump pump experience first. There is absolutely no way I will have Five Star do any other work for me, especially not a high dollar repair! I will find another company that is honest and isn't so hesitant, or flat out refuse, to provide an itemized invoice. It's just a disappointment.
