I recently got a quote to fix a small gas leak at a fitting that goes to the water heater. Duke had already come out and told me exactly where the leak was, and that it was caused by the pipe dope drying out after 40 years. The gentleman quoted me $1,695 in labor, as all the parts would be reused just refitted. I left work early, drove down there, disassembled, cleaned, and refitted them myself in 45 minutes. Duke came out inspected and turned the gas on. $1,695 for 45 minutes of work is disgraceful. You are taking advantage of people. Although the technician was very polite and professional, but he didn't really know what he was talking about and I feel he's more a salesman dressed in work clothes than an actual technician. A year ago the company installed a new air conditioner, there were three things found wrong with the install during inspection. Apollo did Fix the issue. As part of the contract they were to provide maintenance for the first year and they have cancelled my maintenance appointment twice. The air conditioner does not keep up with high temperatures and I only set the air at 72. Do not use this company. read more

I would highly recommend Apollo Home and Jerald to maintain your heating and cooling system. I just bought my house 9 months ago and I have had Apollo Home come out to perform the tune up on the central a/c in July . Jerald came out this morning and notified me when he was on his way and when he arrived he was very nice and took the time to answer my questions about the heating portion of the system. Jerald also informed me of the warranty that I have remaining on the system as the previous home owner had the system installed 3 years ago. Thank you Apollo Home for hiring Jerald as he is the kind of employee I would want out there representing my company. I am not sure why there are negative reviews, but we had a new HVAC system installed and they were so professional. From the sales person to the technicians. We then had the ducts cleaned and the two gentleman Brennan and Josh(I think) both were polite, professional, and worked efficiently the entire visit. I am not sure if Apollo is a good company to work for, but their employees are exceptional and hopefully Apollo is treating them the way they deserve to be treated because they don't want to lose any of the workers we had an experience with....The gentleman with the movie tattoo was clearly a kind person, going the extra mile and all of the technicians we encountered listened and explained everything. About 6 weeks ago, when we had a bad cold snap in December, my furnace just wasn't putting out much heat at all. I went through Angi, and got referred to Apollo. The scheduler was very nice, they sent me info on the person who would be coming out, and he arrived an hour or so later. After going in to the crawl space, he came out and started talking about replacement. He didn't know if they could get it out, etc, and put in a call for someone to come out and 1) see if they thought they would be able to remove it, 2) see if they had enough room to install a new one, 3) give me an estimate cost. After he left, I tried to reach someone I had used before. He came in an hour or so, changed out the filter, and taped up a leak in one of the ducts. There was no need to replace the furnace, but that was all Apollo was interested in doing. read more

I had an item on my HVAC that went out, and asked for an itemized proposal for the labor and parts, and they refused to tell me how much the replacement part was, and labor for the project. Got the kitchen sink and faucet replaced today for $338. Apollo wanted $ 2300 for the same job.

It all started with leaky faucet and ended with a 2 week nightmare. The first group of plumbers created such a disaster trying to tear out existing tub and tlle to try to fix the leaky faucet. They created more repairs that now needed the maintenance crew to fix and expected me to pick up the extra cost. I was without shower in one bathroom and a new leaking pipe in another bathroom for nearly 2 weeks. Tried to talk with management and calls were not returned. The plumber that finally came to correct the initial problem was not the one that came the day before to size up the problem, seems he was "let go" according to the new one. No one from Apollo called to let me know. So, if you want something done right, do not use Apollo. read more

A guy came out and installed a shower valve and changed it from 3 handles to 1, which also fixed the leaking. that night my other daughter showers in her bathroom behind it and water sprays everywhere and floods between the walls down to the laundry room and garage. it caused $9k worth of damages and it's been since March and we still haven't received the money from their insurance agent! read more

I scheduled an AC tune up 2 weeks in advance only to have them call me an hour after the end of their four hour window. They wanted to reschedule because of other emergency service elsewhere (it's in the 70's. What kind of A/C emergency can there be?) so they wouldn't have a tech available. Poor communication. Lack of ability to keep a scheduled appointment. Asking me to rearrange my schedule because they could make more money somewhere else. I was offered the ability to have them out the next day, but I was not able to be home so I was then offered a reschedule a month later. Poor business practices and not a company I would ever recommend when they can't keep the basic contract of an appointment. read more

Giving 5 star after a project finally completed and to shout out to Tyler Sirn who had great integrity to do an electrical project right. I initially had old lights rewired in my 1920s garage in March 2025. After "completion" the lights didn't work and I was told I would have to pay more for product and work hours to see what else was wrong, because the wires read as "live." This is no cheap service. It took me time for a light order and to put them up. Lights still not working. I had technicians come to the home two more times that same month, telling me one thing or another was the issue. Still no working lights or clear answer . Including no movement when escalated to management. When I had time to address it again in September, Tyler was referred to me by one of his colleagues. He told me what I knew, that the wiring was not done well the first time. Wires were not secure in the ceiling, they were haphazardly connected. He recommended a product to buy and he would install. He spent time to correct work and wiring the right way and- I have working lights! As well it like excellent and would pass an inspection, a service I had hoped to get when I started the call in March. This is the quality of service Apollo should be supporting. The tech was very polite and thoroughly reviewed the water heater. The people I spoke to at the call center regarding my appointment were very professional. We have used Apollo multiple times for repairs and replacements around our home. The last time they came out we asked them to check our bathroom sink drain. We ended up needing a whole pipe taken out of our wall and replaced. This was a nice $7,000. They cut our bathroom wall to hell from floor to almost top of the wall. They cut the backing out of my vanity and the wall behind the toilet. They finished up the job of putting in the pipe and no mention of fixing the wall or having another employee out to fix it. You would think for that much money they would put your wall back! The plumber was too hell bent on up selling us for a new water heater and toilet! After reading other reviews about their sketchy practices I think we will look elsewhere next time for repairs. Some people were mentioning the same things we were hearing when they fixed our heat and air conditioner a couple years ago. I don't think we needed a new system since the one we had was less than 8 years old. read more

I have used them in the past. Not at all happy with the service they provided. Gave me three options on an electrical problem. Each progressively more expensive. From option 1 of rewiring several circuits to redoing the entire 200 amp service panel. I told them I would consider those and let them know after the weekend. I then thought about what I had changed electric wise over the last 24 hours. I had moved the dehumidifier to another circuit. Once I put it on it's own circuit the flickering problem ceased. I would leave zero stars if that was an option. One of their people went to my mother's house today. She's 71 and they tried to take advantage of her. They told her the heat exchanger is cracked and that she needed a furnace. He showed her a photo of a cracked heat exchanger, but it wasn't her heat exchanger. I know this, because another company came out to inspect the furnace. He measured the CO level in the flu. It was 5.2 ppm. There is also zero ppm CO in the house. A cracked heat exchanger would pump a minimum of 100ppm into the house and a huge quantity up the flu. A second furnace company cleaned a very dirty sensor and the furnace is running. This company was either incompetent or intentionally dishonest. read more

Apollo has serviced my home multiple times. Our furnace broke last December, and they came out the next day during the week of Christmas. We got the new furnace within a few days, and they were transparent about the price and payment plans available. They have also cleaned our ducts and performed electrical evaluations for us. Just this week, our dryer outlet needed replaced, and they came out and replaced it the next day. The technicians have always been very nice and respectful of my home. I'm not sure where to start. Due to frequent miscommunications - especially with Harrison and Izzy - our project stretched from February through May. While the work is now complete and every technician who came to our house was courteous, apologetic, and seemed genuinely committed, the overall process was frustrating. We had techs show up with incomplete information - not knowing that the initial call was regarding a clogged sink and not realizing that the rest of the plumbing was working (seemingly) fine. On the morning the excavation was supposed to start, the director of projects (I believe that was his title - last name King??) came to our home and informed us that our project coordinator Harrison had quit earlier that day. He openly acknowledged that the entire job had been mishandled and poorly communicated. While we appreciated his honesty, we never saw or heard from him again after that visit, and the communication issues persisted. Several aspects of the experience were particularly challenging: * We had to use paid time off or rearrange our work schedules on eight occasions to accommodate the team's visits. Once, no one showed up, and we were only notified 30 minutes before the appointment window ended that they wouldn't be there. * There were repeated visits to address a clogged kitchen sink, and both times, the technician left dirty water in the kitchen and bathroom, ruining a kitchen mat that was not moved out of the way. * The scope of work was inconsistently communicated. We were told at different times that excavation would happen in the front yard, then in the basement, then not at all. Ultimately, when the team arrived, they initially said they were there to dig in the basement, only to later determine it was unnecessary. * Each visit seemed to bring a different technician, making it difficult to establish continuity or communicate ongoing concerns. * Despite repeated requests for a call when technicians were en route so I could secure my dogs (one of whom was injured), this was never done, adding unnecessary stress to myself and my dogs (one of which was healing from a chipped bone, which STILL isn't healed - the unnecessary/repeated visits didn't help that). While we are grateful for the technicians' efforts and the eventual completion of the job, the lack of clear communication and repeated scheduling issues made the experience challenging. We were convinced to sign up for their monthly Apollo Care Plan, but after this experience, I'm hesitant to welcome them back into our home - if so, we'll certainly be looking for additional quotes. We spent $13k on this project and have seen elsewhere that people have been over quoted by Apollo and took their work elsewhere for a much more fair price. I hope the company will address these concerns to improve future customer experiences. read more

This company is terrible. My hot water heater busted so I had them come out for a free estimate. I called at 8am and they showed up at 4pm. They quoted my $3000 to have it replaced. Knowing I need a heater I gave them $450 and they would install it the next day. After they left I got buyer remorse and started looking around. I found the exact heater at home depot for $628.34. This means they wanted to charge me $2600 for labor. After a half hour, I called and cancelled the order and to get a refund. A few days later they refunded my $300 and the other $150 was for a service call and restocking fee. Since I called half hour later to cancel in the evening I might add, there was no restocking fee. Needless to say I will never use are recommend this company to anyone. SCAM!! read more

I came here to warn others. After reading the reviews, I now realize I should have come here sooner. This company is an absolute SCAM. I was intentionally misinformed about an annual 'service plan' that I could cancel at anytime, until it came time to cancel it. I was told along with an HVAC inspection, I would receive a free plumbing/electrical inspection. Now that I want to cancel, the cost is $149 each. After the plumbing inspection, the plumber caused a slow leak in an upstairs, spare bathroom. It dripped, unbeknownst to myself, for 4 days until I noticed water from a downstairs ceiling. I was told, 'the leak would have happened eventually' when I contacted them. However, they would come back to fix it for $1,300. Mind you, I had ZERO leaks prior to Apollo's inspection. Needless to say, I now have to seek legal representation. I am writing this review to save future homeowners the trouble, for which you are guaranteed to have with this sham of a company. read more

Had to have a sewer line replaced. The sewer line ran under our concrete walkway. Apollo came out. Had to take out a piece of the walkway for the excavation. Left my yard a compete mess and packed no dirt under the new piece of concrete. There are huge holes under the walkway and the concrete is settling so much it is very uneven and creating a trip hazard coming up to my door, have called several times being told this is natural settling and asking for a management call back i get nothing. Will never use their services again, nor will I refer them to anyone. read more

agree with several others on here. had my AC quit working 5 days ago, on a Saturday. weather is in the upper 90's very polite and professional on the phone. Someone was out within the hour. couldn't find anything wrong and it started working again in the meantime. stopped again on Tuesday. called again and was told nothing wrong. stopped again, asked them to send out an electrician as lights in our home started flickering after the AC stopped working so thought it could be related. Electrician came out yesterday, again said nothing was wrong. checked our box and our meter. everything g testing fine. Well now it is Thursday, it's 110 with the heat index and my home is 80 degrees and the AC unit will NOT kick on. called them again, 4th time, and they told me they could have someone out on Monday. this is after we signed up for their service plan because I didn't trust when they said "nothing wrong" and we are supposed to be priority with a service plan. when I called today, I asked to speak to a supervisor, they would not give me one. said they were busy dealing with "emergencies". For a HVAC tech what is a bigger emergency than a house that is 80 degrees and climbing in 110 weather? for a priority member? finally threw a big enough fit (politely) to get them to agree to come out tomorrow. doesn't help me tonight. now they say they will send a "senior" tech. well, where was that on the 2nd and 3rd call??? To be clear, the quality of the work is top notch! The responsiveness is flawless. Never had a bad technician. Where APOLLO falls down is in estimating costs. APOLLO has no qualms about charging customers hundreds or thousands of dollars more than competitors. We had an estimator come out and quote $1200 to install a new garbage disposal, that sells for less than $200 at the hardware store. Long story short. We didn't even need a new disposal. Stay with me. This was my second experience with this type of estimating. The first was a proposal of $700 to replace a toilet flapper. I ordered the flapper from online and changed it myself. Here's the deal. APOLLO should charge a premium for the quality of work it does, but you must be responsible for managing your money, because they will take every dime you have, if you let them. Called my regular HVAC company - system was working fine - system not leaking and refrigerant up to standards. My technician Jerald Lewis was awesome. During my annual HVAC inspection he diagnosed a failed blower motor which luckily was under warranty. He went and picked up the part, installed it quickly and had my AC up and running great. Besides installing the part he cleaned up my outside condenser unit beautifully. I have used Apollo multiple times for HVAC, electric and plumbing, and have NEVER had a negative experience. All of their technicians are courteous, professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. When Apollo makes a mistake, they fix it immediately. On Friday morning, I contacted them about an issue, and a team member reached out to me a couple of hours later to provide a resolution. A technician was sent out same day, and the issue was resolved before late afternoon. 5+ stars from me, and I highly recommend! read more

I've had nothing but bad experiences with Apollo over the past year. Moved to a new home and had multiple projects to be done, such as installing a current/modern dryer outlet. They ran a new wire from my fuse box and installed the outlet leaving the old one in place. By the time I had a new dryer I noticed the plug doesn't fit. I had to take pictures to Lowe's and have a random clerk tell me that's a RANGE plug for stoves/ovens. Whoops. I recommend avoiding Apollo. On top of aggressively trying to upsell me on projects I don't need, they tend to send electricians that make rookie mistakes. I did have one staffer work on my prior home and she was great, but I've asked for her multiple times and she's always booked, so they send the lesser experienced staff. In the past year I've had multiple visits from Apollo, and not one project has been completed correctly or without problems. My year under their "VIP" plan is up, I'm moving on. read more
