I turned off the water line and made an emergency call to a plumber. The plumber came out and fixed the initial problem upstairs in my hallway bathroom, but showed me how water damage soaked through the bathroom flooring, the upstairs vanity, all the way downstairs through my kitchen pantry to the water socket. It was a total mess and he referred me to this company who as he explained was a One-Stop shop from start to finish. As advertised, they came in the very same day and ripped out all of the bad material, set up dehumidifiers, gave me estimates, put material on order and worked with me and my home insurance to get things back to new. Anna was wonderful, as she did all the scheduling and kept me informed of the the scope of the project and she handled all of the administrative process seamlessly. Daniel and his crew, Rami Eddie and Victor are absolute lifesavers! All were friendly, accommodating, very knowledgeable and true professionals. They were here promptly on the scheduled dates and all the repairs were completed expertly and expeditiously. I am so grateful for all of them and the hard work that they did. They could not understand what we wanted done and how to do it. Claims to be a carpenter...sorry man, but you ain't no carpenter! After mediation was completed, the technician installed and uninstalled the kitchen cabinets three times before coming close to getting it right. Total time to finish part of kitchen, small bathroom and coat closet - three months! Hell, whole houses can be done in that amount of time. They threw away existing pieces and parts and installed mismatched, wrong color, and ill fitting parts instead. All in all a nightmare to keep after them, cater to their irregular schedule, promised arrivals and work days. Beware!

I was referred by ARS by a plumber (used by my homewarranty company). ARS represented that they would manage the process from end to end with my insurance company on Remediation work on my property and that I would be responsible only for the amount ultimately agreed upon with insurance. That representation was a major reason I hired them. ARS handled the remediation work and referred me to a reconstruction company they had worked with previously. My insurance company issued two separate checks--one for remediation and one specifically for reconstruction. ARS initially billed me nearly twice the total amount of those checks and tried to strong arm me that "it was part of the contract". When I questioned the bill, Fred, the ARS representative, acknowledged it was a billing error and said it would be corrected, while also mentioning that similar situations had occurred before and was an oversight on billing department. ARS did not clearly explain to me that the second insurance check was specifically for reconstruction. Trusting ARS to handle the process properly, I paid both checks to ARS in good faith, believing the reconstruction funds would be passed along to the reconstruction company THEY referred me to and THEY had worked with on previous projects. Once I discovered the issue, I repeatedly contacted Fred and ARS billing and requested that the reconstruction funds either be paid to the reconstruction company or returned to me so I can pay. My insurance company provided written documentation confirming that the second check was for RECONSTRUCTION--not remediation. Despite providing that documentation and numerous efforts of reaching out, ARS has not returned the funds and does not respond to my calls, emails or texts. Fred subsequently provided what I found to be conflicting and confusing explanations to cover up this mistake regarding the original contract amount and its use as a starting point for negotiation with the insurance company. I was specifically reassured and told by Fred that my obligation would be LIMITED to ONLY my deductible, and I relied on that representation when I hired ARS. I am pursuing this dispute through the Nevada State Contractors Board, Nevada Attorney General, BBB, IICRC revoke or remove ARS certification and other appropriate channels to seek clarification and resolution regarding the disputed funds. MY ADVICE TO HOMEOWNERS Based on my experience, I would not recommend ARS for remediation work due to their deceptive trade practices. They came by, and it turns out tried to scam me massively for insurance, etc. I'm lucky to have caught it before signing anything. After this awful experience, I went back online to find a different mitigation company and found Life Savers. They came by at like 9:00 p.m. took a look and although I was extremely suspicious of anyone I would have spoken to after the first experience, Rudy really helped set my mind at ease and made the process incredibly easy all things considered. They stopped the damage, everything was done incredibly professionally and well within the expectations of my insurance company, and their professionalism and kindness shown through from start to finish of their services. What concerned me even more was the amount of labor time I was expected to pay for. After the actual work was essentially completed, the crew took an excessive amount of time cleaning up and then remained sitting in their van outside my home for approximately THREE HOURS. I was then expected to pay for that time as part of the job. I have no problem paying a company fairly for legitimate work performed at my home. What I will not do is pay for unnecessary or unauthorized work, inflated labor time, or hours when workers were simply sitting outside my house. When I disputed the charges, I made it clear that I was willing to pay the correct amount once EcoDry and my insurance company agreed on what was legitimately owed. Instead of resolving the disputed total first, I continued to be pressured to make a payment against an invoice I believed was incorrect. This experience has left me extremely disappointed with EcoDry's billing practices. If you use this company, I strongly recommend documenting when workers arrive and leave, keeping track of exactly what work you authorize, taking photos, and carefully comparing the final invoice with the work that was actually performed. I am happy to pay for work that was actually performed and properly authorized. I should not have to fight to avoid paying for work I did not request or hours that I do not believe were legitimately worked.
