WFM did the demo and water mitigation, LFP did the reconstruction. Overall, I would recommend LFP. It took FOREVER to finally be finished (3+ months), but some of that delay was due to USAA Insurance not being available to approve payments. The service was good, and for the most part, responsive. Jasmine was a good POC and Pia explained the financial aspects. We did have a hiccup on the width of the shower glass to be installed, but they made it right. I would use them again.

Fire Restoration Services…read more I had a small kitchen fire and wanted to procure fire restoration services to take care of any soot and smoke damage. Any visible damage was mostly contained within kitchen area. I looked up local companies on Yelp and decided to get a free quote from Independent Restoration Services. They came out the next day to check out the place, provided a quote within a few hours, and were then able to start the next day after obtaining work authorization. I placed my trust in them based on their reviews across Yelp, Google, and FB. At first I was a bet skeptical due to only one person making it out on the first day, which was due to a combination of scheduling issues , others being called onto different sites/projects, and overall just being a small team. But in the end they still finished on schedule as initially estimated, despite having less manpower than I had expected. They were thorough with the restoration - my place was just as clean as before, and in some places even cleaner. They kept me assured throughout the whole process and answered any questions and concerns I had. There was a misunderstanding on my end where I thought they would also clean the air ducts, but since that is not something they provide, they offered to go 50/50 on subcontracting a duct cleaner. And at the end, they agreed the initial quoted estimated cost seemed a bit too high, so they were willing to adjust the final bill downwards. Overall they provided quality cleaning and restoration services, were flexible to work with, and did not seem like they were out to get my money. We were left unsure of what work was being done, what to expect next, and received little guidance throughout the process. Most concerning was that an individual who is not directly employed by the company was sent to our home to perform work, especially concerning given that we had given this company permission to enter the property while we were at were but then they sent an "independent contractor". This alone was unsettling. During that visit, he entered our master bedroom multiple times with no explanation or reason, and when questions were asked, he avoided answering by repeatedly walking away downstairs. This behavior felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. After remediation work yesterday, our home was left with an overwhelming bleach/chemical odor, and no recommendations or safety guidance were provided regarding ventilation, air quality, or whether it was safe to remain in the home, especially concerning given that mold remediation was involved. This has been an incredibly scary situation for our family. Recently learning there is mold in our home, and having a 6-year-old child. In a situation like this, transparency, clear communication, and simply being treated like human beings would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, that was lacking throughout this process. Overall, the lack of transparency, poor communication, and concerning conduct have left us feeling uneasy and dissatisfied.
