I have been a Colonial customer for years due in no small part to the fact that they service their own mortgages so your loan won't be sold around in investment packages constantly with you not knowing who owns the note to your home from year to year. They have been consistent with my escrow account to where adjustments were not needed as well. My main reason for this review though is that we just closed on buying a new home and used Colonial again. Things were getting shaky as to whether we were going to close on our home on time and we felt like our home deal might fall through if our closing got delayed. I contacted the company vice president John Farrell and things started flying faster than could ever have been expected by my wife and I. After a few whirlwind days we ended up closing on time and are very excited to be moving into our dream home. I don't think that if we were doing business with one of the "Too Big to Fail" banks that we could have received this kind of assistance and we would definitely recommend going with Colonial for anyone's mortgage needs.

I had been in process of refinancing my house with another lender, but it wasn't working out as expected and taking too long, so I cancelled that loan. I was a Colonial customer - had my current mortgage with them, but my earlier experience with the loan officer assigned to me in an Austin office left a lot to be desired. I'm glad I took a chance and called the main # in Fort Worth. Pat took all the info over the phone, locked in my rate that day, had the papers sent to my home that week. She set up the closing at the nearest Colonial location to my office, where Susan Mills (the title agent) did a great job of completing all the paperwork with me over my lunch hour. The entire process, from the first phone call to the closing, took 24 days. Everything went so smoothly, and I attribute that to Pat's expertise and knowledge. I have been through several home mortgages and refinances with other properties in the past, and this was the absolute best experience I have had to date. No matter where you live in Texas, if you need a loan officer, I would recommend giving Pat a call - you can find her phone # on the Colonial Mortgage website. All loan officers are not "created equal" - Pat is exceptional!!!

In our first meeting, Kimi made the time to connect with us after the 5pm hour because of our work schedules. Kimi then answered all our questions and walked us through the home-buying process from start to finish. As first-time home buyers, this was incredibly important. I always felt like my questions were heard and I was provided clear and consistent communication. Also, Kimi took the time to create several different projections that worked within our budget. Each conversation I had with Kimi showed me the level of care she had for her client's needs and that she was always willing to be transparent and honest about next steps. Throughout our home-buying process, I worked with a few people on the Kimi Does Mortgages team. Each person I connected with had the same level of respect, support, and attention to detail that Kimi provided in our first meeting. I specifically had many conversations with Lily in the later stages of our home-buying process. Lily has been a great resource to me and my wife she always took the time to walk us through all the different mortgage language and helped us to truly understand the numbers on the many documents we had to review. Lily went above and beyond to pick up the phone or give me a prompt message back whenever I had questions. We had one issue obtaining a document from my wife's work. We mentioned this to Lily, and she immediately got creative and provided us with some alternative options that helped us get the correct document. Also, I worked with Garrett a little and he was very nice. He provided streamlined communication to ensure the process was flowing on the appropriate timeline. We are so appreciative of all the work and countless hours that Kimi and her team put in to ensure that our home-buying process was as smooth as possible. When we started to look at mortgage companies, I had heard many horror stories about bad experiences, and I'm happy to report that because of Kimi and her team, we didn't run into any issues. Instead, we felt in control and supported each step of the process. Overall, if you are looking to buy a home I highly recommend you go with Kimi Does Mortgages. Her team is incredible and you will be grateful you chose to work with her.

In all the 2+ years I've known her, if she says she can do the loan, she delivers 100% of the time." That was all that we needed. We called her, gave her our scenario, and she told us she could do the loan. Our home contract had gone belly up when our previous lender had missed our closing date on December 9th. Linda and her incredibly experienced team worked diligently to get us in the home in record time. They even had roadblock after roadblock with the previous lender, including ethical issues that Linda coached us through. And she still managed to close on our house 10 days later. I still don't know how she did it, but she pulled out all the stops and made it happen, with the primary goal of getting our family in the house in time for Christmas. A wonderful group, and seriously, the best Loan Officer EVER. She completely has our loyalty! They were all very nice and really cared about my business and made me feel special. I saw Linda's wall and it had about 100 awards on it for doing a good job. I know she was very busy but I always got a call back and I understood everything that was going on throughout the process. I will always recommend Linda and her team. Stay as far away from these con artists as you can. My wife…read moreand I decided to purchase a house. Long backstory summed up: we owned a fixer upper that we grew tired of fixing. Our family was getting bigger than the house could reasonably accommodate. We contacted movement mortgage about obtaining a loan. We provided every bit of information they requested, well before we decided to put a loan application in. After extensively answering questions about credit history, employment history, our favorite colors...you get the point, we were told by our mortgage loan officer, Shea Patton, that we had a good chance of approval. My wife and I decided to go through with the application. We received (in email) a TBD approved letter. We didn't know what that meant at the time, so we looked it up and asked some of our banker contacts. Apparently, a TBD approval was the best approval we could get. Our Movement Mortgage (MM) loan officer, Shea Patton (MLO) told us the underwriting had already looked over the file and approved it. Now, it is important to say that my wife and I had never been through bank lending before. Our current home was an owner finance situation. One condition of our loan was that we had to sell our house...which we did. The proceeds of that sale went from one title company to the next. We we're scheduled to close two days after we sold our current home. Less than 24 hours before we were to sign paperwork on our new home, we received a call from our MLO stating that underwriting wasn't going to approve our loan. Mind you, this was after the close of the business day...so our proceeds from the sale of our home we're locked up in escrow until the following day. We had no place to go. We didn't have any contingency plan because our MLO personally guaranteed our approval to our real estate agent, the listing agent, us, and the sellers of the house. Needless to say, we were homeless with no where to go. We couldn't even get a room to rent for the night. Due to MM's negligence, we we're out over $5000 in unnecessary expenses. Our four children were without a home for a week. What did MM do to correct their error? Not a damned thing. "Why don't you sue?" The amount of money and time it would take to recoup our losses wouldn't justify the process. So...STAY AWAY FROM MOVEMENT MORTGAGE.

I put a contract on a house and Supreme Lending said that everything looked good. They had ALL my info for over 20 days, was told that everything looked good and that the loan would go through. I was told repeatedly throughout the entire process that I would have no problem qualifying and that getting the loan just took some time. I made it explicitly clear that I had to close on the house by Dec. 29 as I had to be completely moved out of my current residence by Dec. 31. They assured me that would not be a problem. Wow, how far from the truth this turned out to be. I was told that the underwriter had it on their desk and would have a final answer within 48 hours after they had already had all my info for 2 weeks. That 48 hours window turned into 2 weeks - phone calls were not returned for 1-2 days and anytime I was told I would have an answer that day, I would not get a response and the next day it would be pushed back again. I received a final phone call yesterday saying that they denied it and with no valid reason that they could give. Now, not only have I lost a house, I've also lost a considerable chunk of money that I was out for option money, earnest money, and inspection, and now have less than 2 weeks to try and find a place to live due to them telling me one thing and then doing a complete 180. SUPREME LENDING DRAGS THEIR FEET AND LIES! DO NOT USE THEM!
