United Wholesale Mortgage sold/transferred my mortgage to Mr. Cooper (registered to Nationstar) as…read moreof April 1, 2024. After seeing so many unfavorable reviews, I decided to close my escrow account before my first mortgage payment to Mr. Cooper, as my home insurance was due in mid-May. I followed their instructions, and all communications were handled via email. I also made sure to send the same message through their 'message portal'. https://www.mrcooper.com/help-center/escrow/removing-escrow Mr. Cooper closed my escrow account and sent me a check for the remaining balance that was rolled over from United Wholesale Mortgage within 10-14 business days. I log onto Mr. Cooper's website to pay the mortgage (P&I) and add extra principal payments each month. I did not set up autopay. I now directly pay for the Home Insurance and Property Tax payments, and these vendors send proof of payment to the Nationstar document portal.

" then they disconnect. Pretty easy to get a live person on the phone but, the ones I've spoken with are wretched, underpaid, under trained people who are working from home. I have heard dogs and children in the background many times. Of course, that's fine, people need jobs and that work can be done from home. BUT it's always an indication to me that a company is on the fringe of collapse when their employees don't come into work.

Keith has delivered on every loan that he said he could at or better than the terms he quoted me. I have a complicated income stream, but through both of their efforts they package my situation in a way that the underwriters accept. They provide letters of explanation for me to sign and they work their magic. During my most recent purchase we found that Freddie/ Fannie had flagged the community as restricted. He petitioned them and fought to remove the restriction. I think he and Kiley were more motivated than I would have been. They got it done! They understand the process so well, they will do everything possible to get you a loan you feel good about. Keith communicated with everyone involved throughout the process. The realtors both said they planned to use Spec home loans themselves in the future. Keith is a stand up person, he won't let you down, and I can't say enough things about his integrity and character.
