We came to Linda Mister-Owens on a referral from our trusted Realtor (see separate review). She…read moresaid "Call Linda. In all the 2+ years I've known her, if she says she can do the loan, she delivers 100% of the time." That was all that we needed. We called her, gave her our scenario, and she told us she could do the loan. Our home contract had gone belly up when our previous lender had missed our closing date on December 9th. Linda and her incredibly experienced team worked diligently to get us in the home in record time. They even had roadblock after roadblock with the previous lender, including ethical issues that Linda coached us through. And she still managed to close on our house 10 days later. I still don't know how she did it, but she pulled out all the stops and made it happen, with the primary goal of getting our family in the house in time for Christmas. A wonderful group, and seriously, the best Loan Officer EVER. She completely has our loyalty! THE GOOD (Not all inclusive) Very quick response time Incredibly experienced Has Underwriter experience, so knows exactly how to package your loan for the UW Digital documents (via Docusign) Cares about her customers (as does the whole team) Large team = always covered when anyone is out of the office A trusted advisor Loan types: FHA, VA, CONVENTIONAL, JUMBO, USDA, BOND LOANS, TEXAS VET and many others All types of refinances, etc. THE BAD Not a darn thing!

They changed the rate on me before closing because it wasn't locked they said. I had asked them to lock it. A friend told me to call Linda Mister and her team. Linda called me back and spent an hour explaining things to me. Then she introduced me to her very knowledgeable team. They were all very nice and really cared about my business and made me feel special. I saw Linda's wall and it had about 100 awards on it for doing a good job. I know she was very busy but I always got a call back and I understood everything that was going on throughout the process. I will always recommend Linda and her team. I want to thank them for helping me get into my home. My sales price was 400k and I was doing 5 percent down.

TLDR: The Tuttle Group utterly astounded us with an effortless, friendly, speedy, and (believe it…read moreor not) FUN refinance as self-employed individuals when no one else wanted to help. We decided to refinance our home to make some improvements and clear out some high-interest debt. We assumed (erroneously) that our credit union, which had held the current mortgage for 15 years plus our bank accounts and car notes, and a flawless history of payments with them, would have no trouble refinancing us, even though we are now self-employed, and making 3x what we made when they initially approved us. ***WRONG!!!*** After literally MONTHS of asking for documents, changing rates, long delays waiting for info from underwriting, and unanswered questions, we finally abandoned them in search of unconventional financing routes. We looked specifically for brokers in the area who specialize in self-employed people, and found a few. Some seemed a bit "green," some sounded less than friendly or just weren't interested in a smaller refi. But Tatiana with the Tuttle Group was super friendly when she reached out, and helped us arrange a video consultation with Andy Tuttle, the wizard of the Tuttle Group. During the 30 minutes that Andy spoke with us, it was like a crash course in financial planning. Everything he said made so much sense, and we learned more about mortgage refinancing than MONTHS of online research and questions we had asked to our credit union. Andy was up-front and told us that our best option might, indeed, be to go with the offer our credit union had finally extended, and that he might not be able to beat it. Still, he took the time to explain how refinancing in this "terrible Fed-rate" era could be financially advantageous to us, and told us to check once more with our credit union to see their final terms and if they were still locked in. I was astounded that he would take that kind of time to talk to a customer he likely wouldn't get any money from. We decided to proceed with the Tuttle Group, even if they couldn't offer us a better rate, simply because it was a PLEASURE dealing with them, they treated us like family, and everything Andy said made such good sense. Throughout the 2-ish weeks that ensued, their awesome mortgage gal Annie checked in with us regularly to make sure all our questions were answered. They seemingly required FAR less documentation than anyone else. But their stated tactic was to present a perfect, iron-clad package to underwriting up-front, so that there would be an instant approval and there wouldn't be a need for further questions or documentation. (Imagine that???) In what seemed like the blink of an eye, we were approved and ushered through closing. We simply could not be more impressed with the Tuttle Group. We've helped numerous friends and family through the mortgage process, and it's always like being put through a medieval torture device. This is the first time getting approved and closing was a PLEASURE. We NEVER had to contact them for questions, because they were always checking in to make sure all ours were answered. They were super friendly, familiar, informal-yet-professional, and we always felt like they had our backs and had everything under control. We actually looked forward to their calls and emails...imagine that??? Even though were were looking for a silly, small refinance and shouldn't have been worth their time, we felt like we had called up a dear family member who gave us the "hook up" our situation clearly didn't warrant. Astounded. Impressed. Thrilled. Grateful. These are some of the things we feel after our experience with the Tuttle Group. And I have absolutely no doubt your experience will leave you feeling the same.

I'm beyond frustrated with the entire process of my loan that happened at your Colleyville…read morelocation. My loan officer was Roderick See. Overall the communication in that office is totally absent. In my experience no one knew what their other team player was doing. I would send my documents over to Rod See and his assistant Kalyn Davis would say he didn't have anything. I have emails showing everything that has happen along the way of my entire loan process. I not only had kalyn that was working with me but I had two more additional employees at that office that would email me to let me know they were on my case. The two employees I'm referring to are Vanessa Ontiveros and Mark Guest. Which I was advised by another upper staff member that Vanessa ended up either leaving or got fired. Which no one had notified me of or reach out to me to provide me with my new loan processor. So since no one had notified me I had been taking the time to send all the documents to her. Which a couple of days passed by so at the time I called to see if they received my documents kayln told me that she hadn't received them. I was like I sent them to Vanessa and she advised me she was no longer in that office. This is just one instance of a communication fail at that office. When I have reached out to Rod See throughout this entire process there has been several issues of communication. Now I will tell you what was my breaking point with beyond frustration with this Colleyville location. My original close date was set for Thursday September 27th at 11am. We didn't close until Monday October 1st at 9am. My previous lease stated I was to be out by September 29th from that property. I was told by Supreme Lending that the documents were to be sent to the Title Company by 11am on Thursday on Wednesday September 26th. I took off from work from Thursday September 27th - 30th. The title company advised me that they had yet to see the documents come in at 10 am or so. I contacted Rod on numerous occasions to see what the hold up was. He simply told me that they needed more time to complete the docs. They did moved the time to 2:00pm. Being that the title company was in plano we headed that way about 1pm. When we call the title company again they still stated the documents hadn't came in from Supreme Lending. So then I called Rod again and got no response. So then I decided to take matter into my own hand since both Rod and kalyn wouldn't return my calls or emails. I asked to speak to upper management which they passed me to Natalie McDonald which is a Processor for my loan. I sent her a long email regarding my concerns on September 24th 3 days prior to my closing date. She advised me she was taking care of it and getting upper management to look into it. So when Thursday came on September 24th and I spoke on the phone with her regarding my concerns again she stated she was working on involving upper management. So while we were waiting in Plano at the title company they said that the documents came in and could get us in at 4pm. So we came in and signed over 200 pages of documents thinking we would be done after signing and the keys would be in our hands. That unfortunately was not the case. The title company stated that due to them not supplying them with the documents in time which was supposed to be 11am for our original closing time that funding couldn't be completed. So that was a whole entire day we didn't get to do anything. We had planned to get a fridge get financed for our furniture and couldn't do anything on that day. So we were upset but still hopeful that at least it would be completed by the next morning on Friday September 28th. Both Rod and the Title company reassured me it wouldn't be an issue. So Friday morning came and about 9am without any updates via phone or email I started calling. I first contacted Rod and after about 2 calls to him and 2 calls to kalyn Rod finally calls me back. He stated that the documents we signed on Thursday would need to be resigned completely over due to the seller not signing the documents on the same day as I did. So I ask him why did we sign if he knew that the seller hadn't signed the docs. He told me that she had signed them Friday morning and that he couldn't release the funding to the seller until everyone resigned. So then I reach out to the title company and stated that Rod never disclosed the policy and guidelines of the down payment assistant program regarding that funding can only be released if the seller and buyer sign on the same day and funding has to take place on the same day.
