We hired Scott Kiel Electric for a kitchen remodel and a panel upgrade. After taking a bunch of…read morequotes, they seemed liked they cared the most about doing a great job and they were actually the most affordable. This, combined with the quality of work that we ended up with have resulted in our highest recommendation. Nathanial found and corrected so many issues that the previous installer (who was either not an electrician or a terrible one) had made. He made sure our house was safe and took the time to show and explain to us clearly any issues that arose. Nathanial is the best and you can tell how much he cares about his work. I think our house had one of the worst electrical situations possible, and I think it would be rare to find other electricians in the state who could have handled the job as expertly as Nathanial and Scott did. Every inspector that came to our house also commented on how nice a job they did!

When we moved a year later, there was no question--we called Scott and his team to install a new charger at our new home. Once again, the service and quality of work were outstanding. We couldn't be happier with the experience. It's hard to imagine finding a better electrician than the team at Scott Kiel Electric.

I'm an out of state owner who recently inherited a rental duplex…read more I called Helping Hands because of their sweet name, yelp rating and proximity, to start on my list of electrical needs as we remodel and update the property on our latest monthly visit. I wasn't aware of their 'up front pricing' contracts when I scheduled them. I thought it would be time and materials. After an hour of discussion and prioritizing, and putting their heads together, Helping Hands offered two eye watering quotes for what they thought they could accomplish in that day from my list for the two sides. I was free to accept or decline them and call someone else if needed. I wasn't expecting that - I expected a bunch of the work done from my list that day, with more on a subsequently scheduled day. I felt a bit blindsided, but needed the work done and didn't have time to call anyone else. The work that was done seemed to be done VERY well. However, they finished one side earlier than anticipated, but too late to start the other, and left at 3:30. Apparently if it's not on the quote, they can't start, won't start anything else. I had soooo many piddly things on my list like changing out the color and checking outlets and switches that could have been started and completed in that extra hour, but they weren't on the quote. I was told they would adjust the price on the quote because they didn't have as many complications as they thought. They adjusted the price, I expressed my concerns and we decided to part ways after the whole experience. So bottom line, if you've got lots of time and money, and you're on the property 24/7 and you want great quality work, call Helping Hands. But if you need to maximize your time with limited funds, and you need a lot of piddly stuff as well as big things done, this might not be the company for you. It wasn't for me.

In response to Nate C…read more I'm glad you're going to take this as a learning experience, and in order to help with that, let me provide a more detailed history of events. The first time we used your service was indeed on 9/17/2018, and it did need to be rescheduled for Saturday. this was over a year ago now so it's hard to remember exactly why, but Heather has off Friday and Saturday, and the appointment was originally scheduled for Friday at 1-3PM before being rescheduled for the next day. Lets just say we're not convinced that it was us that was busy, but we do appreciate your company sending someone out on a day where you don't take service calls. As far as us not paying for a month, if you check the attached photos you can see that we didn't receive an invoice until the 9th of October, and paid it 2 days later. It is not our fault it took us a month to pay when we didn't receive an invoice until the 9th. This was also a year ago and has nothing to do with our recent issue in 2019. Outside of this weird delay in invoicing we actually came away with a positive outlook on your service after this visit. You're generally correct about the nature of the job in 2019 except that we never attempted a repair on the fan ourselves, it was installed over 20 years ago by Heather's ex. this time you did invoice us right away, except you then sent another, and another, at least once a day for 4 days. And called us multiple times. Considering we had to wait a month for an invoice last time I think you can understand our confusion and frustration at this constant heckling when we had to wait a month to even be asked to pay before. Hearing you bring up last time has shed some light on the situation at least. It seems you hounded us this time because we didn't pay for a month last time, without realizing that the reason we didn't pay earlier last time had nothing to do with us being unwilling or unable to, but because you yourselves took nearly a month to send us an invoice. Pretty funny as far as misunderstandings go. Now that I at least have a reason I'll add one more star to the score, but even if it's an exception and not the rule, it's still just as frustrating.

I've contacted the home owner also regarding this. I WOULD not recommend N & N Electric of Waunakee as they can't pay their invoices to a business that went out of their way to help them out. As you can see they approved this to be completed per his below email: I approved this a week ago when I first called, I said over and over again just repair ASAP please. I do not need an estimate.
