They claim I owe them for the work that I told them not to do and didn't let them do and so they charged $500 just to come out and evaluate the property. Not once was I sent a bill, called, or contacted in any way by the company. I contacted the company and they stated "we can't help you didn't get any notice. The girl that did that doesn't work here anymore". I then contact the lawyer, who was a complete ass, and he basically threatens me and tells me that it doesn't matter if my insurance company paid them, I owe them as well and it's not his problem I didn't get a bill from them. So now I owe not only $500 but also owe so outrageous lawyer bill which I am forcing my insurance ace company to pay and they can take it up in court. I will make sure to never use this company and will make sure their name is is known for a company that works fraudulently.

Beyond that, Rainbow conducted additional work..removing cabinets, countertops, and flooring, widening drywall gaps, and detaching appliances--without ever obtaining my permission or notifying me 1st. I wasn't physically present to oversee the work, which they knew, yet they went ahead without my consent. When I spoke with my insurance adjuster, they expressed concern over the repair estimator's unprofessional comments, and there's been a clear lack of coordination between Rainbow and my insurer. For example, they sought flooring approval from someone at Allstate, not my adjuster, and ripped up my entire kitchen floor without consulting me. I was forced to come out of pocket thousands of dollars to address damage and repairs I never approved. The kitchen was unusable for weeks, creating an uncomfortable environment for the family living there. Then Rainbow demanded a repair deposit which was shocking to me. Throughout this process, their communication was abysmal. I was initially satisfied with the floor repairs, but I'd never trust this company nor would I recommend them. To make matters worse they installed a cabinet under my sink with incorrect measurements and a different color that I never approved of. They thought I would let that slide but I told them to correct that and to get the correct sizing and color as previously installed. This caused a further delay of additional approval requests and shipping times. 15 months later the floor panels are beginning to lift. I called to ask about a warranty. Here I am after reaching out twice...with confirmation of a callback and visit, No response for two weeks. Something told me to hold back my initial review..now I can deduct an additional star. Do better!

We recently used Rainbow International for mold that was found in our laundry area (inside our…read morekitchen). We were pleased with the quality of the work, however not with the level of communication we received from Rainbow. Not only was it not made to clear to us that during the process we would have no access to our kitchen but when we arrived home late in the evening (around 10pm) on the first day of work we could not reach someone to tell us if it was even safe to be in the house. We just came home to a 'tented off' kitchen unexpectedly. The original estimate said the work would be done in 4 days and it actually took 8 days. Not only was that 8 days we had no access to our kitchen or back door but those were 8 days immediately prior to our settling on our house and the extra days meant we could not pack up kitchen to move until the night before settlement. But our biggest concern was with the final cost of the repairs. We were given an estimate of $2964 and agreed to that cost estimate. When we received the final invoice it was for $3826. We were not at all prepared for the final cost to be nearly 30% higher than the estimate. At no point did anyone from Rainbow contact us to tell us the estimate would not hold. The work needed to be done but if it was going to be more than what was estimated we would have greatly appreciated knowing that.

This company is a HUGE disappointment. They were hired to clean the carpets of our new home. The…read moreprevious occupant had cats, which we are allergic to, so we wanted to ensure that the carpet was cleaned of human and cat hair and odor. Unfortunately, Advanced Cleaning Systems could not live up to its name. When they came out to clean the carpet they did a HORRIBLE job and the did not ensure that the occupant vacuumed the carpet before they cleaned it. Instead they attempted to clean the carpet that was filled with pet hair and it left a mess of wet animal and human hair all over the house. Most carpet cleaning professionals have equipment that is strong enough to suction everything up, including hair, but not this company, which is why they should have informed the occupant that they needed to vacuum prior to the carpet being cleaned. Nevertheless, we called them to come back out and they ensured us that they would clean the carpet again between 2pm and 4pm. We waited until 6pm before they showed up. A complete waste of time and they did not even inform us that they would be so late. Then when they arrived we showed them all of the cat and human hair that we vacuumed up with our little vacuum cleaner and they guy said that his colleague should not have cleaned the carpet until the place was vacuumed. We also have pictures of all of the hair we vacuumed. He then proceeds to inform the owner that he didn't see any spots on the carpet and the owner tells us that they will not clean the carpet again because it "looks" clean, despite the fact that we just showed them tons of hair and despite that the employee just walked on this carpet with his filthy shoes on, so this speaks to their standards. The owner proceeded to inform us that we would have to pay $150 for him to clean the carpet again. Additionally, there were no spots to begin with because the carpet is less than a year old, the point of the cleaning was to remove the hair and odor. With all of this being said, we DO NOT recommend this company. They are unprofessional, a rip-off, and they did not do what they were paid to do, and they did not stand by their word of fixing the issue. They left our home without cleaning the carpet again and properly as they said they would, especially after we waited until 6pm for them. The total price paid for this service was almost $200. We will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau and updating Angie's List, but in the meantime we will call Stanley Steemer. Customer Service is key, especially when you are s small business.

After assessing my situation wasn't an emergency (based on in-depth questions he asked he determined we had a clean water leak and no major signs of water damage), he scheduled for him and his team to come the following Tuesday. When they showed up, his team promptly went to work to carefully lay down floor covering (which I appreciated since we have a no-shoe policy in our house). Meanwhile Seth immediately began to inspect the source of the problem all the way to the farthest point of the water damage. He was very thorough and had a keen eye for detail as he began to point out details I hadn't even seen or imagined (later found out his background in construction is what lends to his extensive knowledge about building materials, how things should be built/how things should look etc). Long story short he determined that my water damage was not extensive at all despite the flooding we had. Instead of recommending I demo my kitchen and basement floor, ceiling, walls to track down every little sign of water damage (which would have probably gave them a chance to easily bill $40k to my insurance), he reassured me that because it was clean water that had flooded and because there was no sign of any major water damage to my home, I was good to go for this one time incident. He set up heavy duty dehumidifiers to dry out my basement and that was it. What I most appreciated is that he took the time to explain his observations and why he did what he did so that I was completely comfortable and understood what was going on in my home. He worked with me to only charge me for the labor incurred and dehumidifiers so I didn't have to go through insurance or even pay as much as my deductible. Their honesty and attention to detail was refreshing and reassuring. I hope to never have to go through another incident where my house floods or have a mold issue, but if I do I've already got Seth on my speed dial and my very short list of contractors I trust. I'm very OCD when it comes to getting things assessed and fixed properly - with Seth and his team's experience and eye for detail, it was nice to just relax and trust that I had professionals who will do what needed to be done. Right from the first moment on the phone I knew that Daryl and Rapid Restoration would be the company we would go with. He gave me a thorough education about the process and gave me helpful advice right from the first moment. His help over the phone was always clear and accurate. He set us on the right path immediately. Seth and his crew were in our house within 48 hours to do the mitigation and boy were they thorough. The floor was pulled up, the room was disinfected and dried. And all the while, Daryl and Seth made sure that we had the documentation and backup necessary to communicate with our homeowners insurance company. With the mitigation done, the crew came back a few weeks later to actually do the repairs and get our floors back to the condition they were in before. This was equally impressive.
