My basement after Frankie and his crew of AAW installed the pump
    Victor P.

All Aspects Waterproofing (AAW) provides an excellent service from the beginning to the end. I had a leak in the basement and called 3 companies, including AAW, to check it out. Robert Ellis from AAW came in to check the problem and did a thorough inspection. He also provided me with information on most common wet basement problems. Robert is a very nice guy and knows his stuff. He gave a courtesy call on the day of the appointment and walked me through exactly what his company would do if I were to use its service. He then gave me a quote after his visit. After looking at the quotes and reviews of the companies I called, I made a decision to go with AAW although it did not offer the lowest quote. I finally set up another appointment with Robert for a final check up. On the scheduled date, Frankie and his crew came on time and did a great job on installing the pump and the window wells. They are very professional and honest. They did their work timely and left my basement clean. I would highly recommend AAW for your basement needs.

The arrived one day before they were slated and were absolutely professional. One thing I commend them for is the neatness of the work. I wish they did more than waterproofing. They were the best estimate I received and the quality of work was not compromised. A lot of estimates I got seemed to include a DMV premium but, the guys were in the ballpark of what I hoped to pay.

Good quality work. Replaced old vapor barrier and put in sump pump. So far so good. Will use to waterproof my basement.

Mike DeGirolamo - the owner - during his assessment provided step-by-step explanation of what needed to be done to address this issue. He was very thorough and clear in his explanations. He did not try to 'upsell' or include items that were not necessary. Prior to work starting a timeline was provided. Timeline detailed team arriving over the course of 3 days and what to expect during this time. The Triad team - Michael, Justin and Roberto - arrived as scheduled on their assigned days. Before starting work for that day they again went over every detail of what they would be doing. Master plumber Justin Dorrier was amazing in his handling of the plumbing side of this process. His attention to detail and explanations clearly showed his professionalism and knowledge as a master plumber. I did much research and obtained multiple estimates from about 5-6 different waterproofing companies before selecting Triad. Triad was by far the company I was most impressed with. I highly recoommend Triad Basement and Waterproofing if you have any waterproofing needs. They are all (Mike, Tracey, Michael, Justin and Roberto) true professionals at what they do and were a pleasure to work with --- I wish I could give them 10 stars! Thank-you Triad Team!

I contacted Value Dry via a contractor referral site where they had excellent reviews to waterproof…read moreour basement & install an egress window in our basement. It took them days to respond. That was the first red flag. When they did respond via the referral app, they said "Good morning, Thank you for reaching out to Value Dry Waterproofing, unfortunately we have been unable to reach you but will keep trying..." No one from Value Dry tried to reach me. That was the first real contact from them. According to the referral site, all contact should be done via the referral portal for everyone's protection. When I spoke to the person to make an appointment, they insisted that "all homeowners" be present for the inspection & that we needed to set aside 2.5 hours for it. They would not make the appointment unless we were willing to commit to those conditions. So Shane, their inspector came by, showed us movies to explain everything, then spent roughly 1.5 hours looking things over then measuring & drawing diagrams & working up a proposal. Then he sat me down to explain it all, go over the proposal & answer any questions. His initial "MSRP", that's what he called it, was for $31,085.25. When I balked, he quickly started lowering the price. For the egress window & well the price was $20,000!! He offered to price match any other offer we obtained for the waterproofing, which he managed to lower near $8,000 because we didn't want this or that or absolutely need this or that. I felt like I was at a car dealership & negotiating the price & options for a new car. Shane left me feeling like he was more interested in up selling us, than helping us solve our problems. He could fix our basement water issues but the priority was profit. Shane arrived promptly at 4:00pm & left at 7:30pm. We were flabbergasted that this company had so much time & effort to spend on this. Again, it reminded me of the time and effort it takes to purchase a car. Too much time, too much money, & I felt kind of abused by this company by the time Shane left. Guess what, we aren't hiring them. Caveat Emptor!! UPDATE: We have since hired another company that came in after Value Dry (see my other reviews to see who we hired) and they have excellent reviews (not just from me). Their salesman did a thorough evaluation, explained everything, offered a larger scope of work (comparing apples to apples) without trying to sell fancy unneeded add ons. Their price was still thousands of dollars lower than Value Dry. Their guys did excellent work. Whatever defense the Owner of Value Dry gives & does not want me to judge them by price or the amount of time their salesman (who was a gentleman) wasted, it ALL figures into a review. So again, caveat emptor or as Sy Sims used say "An educated consumer, is our best customer!"

The new appointment was for the next week. When the day came, NO SHOW. I called and the lady told me that their other estimator was in Florida and asked to reschedule again. I said no thank you. How can they not even get estimations scheduled right. It's your first impression with the customer. Also, if someone is dealing with a basement flooding issue, this is not the kind of response you'd want to deal with. Do not recommend.

Flooding immediately from the garage door. They refuse to fix it because Anne Arundel County installed the grate in front of the garage door, with a drain pipe leading to a sump pump just inside the garage. After 6 years of floods, I finally recognized the problem: Action had removed the drain pipe and replaced it with drain tile that cannot handle heavier rains, causing the grate to overflow and flood the garage. Action never documented their visits, so this summer I tried something different: I made an appointment saying I had additional work, not warranty work, done. When the inspector showed up, I let HIM identify the problem, pointing out the issue was the drain tile that replaced the County's pipe can't handle the load. The inspector then refused to honor the warranty--again--but offered to have an Action foreman and crew come out and "fix my problem" for $1,000 cash. Still nothing in writing. Wondering how "corporate" was implicated (was this unofficial policy--avoiding honoring Lifetime Guarantees, potentially saving tens of thousands in repeat work?, or would the owners be upset that its employees were performing unpermitted and unauthorized work for untaxed income?). I received a text with the name of the foreman coming on the weekend and waited. They arrived in company trucks and uniforms. I took pictures and told them to leave. I went to the police station and tried to file a complaint but they said to report it to the MHIC first. I did and, again, waited. Today, the MHIC rejected the complaint as being 3 years past the original work. Time to file that police complaint and hire an attorney. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
