I've had to call Jon at American Eagle twice: once for an emergency leaking kitchen sink valve that wouldn't shut off, and last week for two leaking sinks and a rusted On/Off sprinkler valve. Twenty-one year old house, everything has an expiry date. All three issues required new sections of pipe and new valves. Jon also spotted a couple of other issues and wrote everything up, explained the charges to me, and then I picked the most immediate problems for him to fix. We had a foundation leak. I called John because our kids played baseball together. He came out that day and completely over charged us for the work he did. What irritates me the most of that he lead me to believe insurance would cover most of the work done, which they do not and he knew that. They do not display pricing anywhere. The worst part of the whole experience is the restoration company that he tried to bring with him but I wanted to wait for insurance. I ended up using the company since I thought i thought I could trust John. They ended up being shady crooks!! read more

1, They gave an appointment 1 week out and confirmed on text that "free estimate" would be provided for repair when they came out 2. Talked on phone with tech 1 day before. He did not mention any extra fees. Then he texted saying "we are coming out for free" but "there may be a charge" to identify what parts need to be replaced. What a joke 3. When i asked how much, texted back "USUSALLY 190-259, cost of repair would be additional" 4. I complained about the bait and switch 1 week after appointment, and mentioned Angies list reviews. Then their tune was slightly changed "if we have to spend time troubleshooting the unit the fee will be in place" I would avoid. The fee should have been mentioned up front, instead of texting me "free estimate" when the issue with water heater had already been described. Then when homeowner is helpless, describing the fees last minute. Go with plumbmasters or other that charge fixed 89$ fee and apply it to repairs and are clear about the fees upfront. read more

We had a great experience with American eagle plumbing. Like a lot of people in our area, we had some issues when the winter storm came and our water softener system was damaged. We decided to wait on doing anything because of the out of pocket expense. Then cue the unit leaking. I called these kind folks and they got someone out next day to look at our unit. They determined that it was needing replaced (not surprising with the issues we had been experiencing). Hunter was the gentlemen who came out and explained our options, gave us a quote etc. we had to get some drywall fixed first and he was super flexible with the scheduling. Fast forward to today- we just got our new softener installed and I couldn't be happier! Hunter did a great job and explained everything I needed to do in order to upkeep our new system. Not only was he prompt, he was extremely meticulous about the entire process from respecting my concerns about the corona virus, to respecting my time, privacy, and conveying the issue so that I could understand what he was doing and why he needed to do it. We had a very complicated issue , a third floor shower and bathtub that was backing up so about 5 inches of water sat in the tub after every shower. Jon did some investigation and fixed the problem, which turned out to be older clogged pipes filled with crud that was not easy to get to.
