Today when I went into the store to return some items, I was greeted by a very rude clerk. Number 1, she was not anywhere to be found. Number 2 when I called out she appeared and asked me, what do you want. Not smile. Not a great presentation. She then talked too rapidly and I asked her to repeat what she said. She told me, talking slowly like I was stupid. I will not be returning!

When I went to the register things took a turn. Employee: I need your phone number please. Me: No thanks. Employee: You are telling me you don't have a phone? (Rolls eyes) Me: I do have a phone but I don't want to give out my number. Employee: Why? If I enter your phone number we will let you know about sales, promotions... Me: No thank you, I'm not interested. Employee: It will save you money, what's your number? Me: I'm not giving you my number because I don't want anything sent to my phone. Can you please just ring me up? Employee: Ok, what is the phone number of the person you are buying this for then? Me: (Eying the toddler-size pajamas...) Uhhh...these pajamas are for my four year old son. Employee: Ok, what's his phone number? Me: Are you serious? He's 4 years old! Employee: Age doesn't matter, we can still send him the deals. What's his number? Me: Are you kidding me? My 4 year old doesn't have a phone! Employee: Oh...Are you sure you don't want to provide your phone number then so he can get good deals on future purchases? I honestly felt like I was on an episode of "Punked". I was waiting for confetti to shoot out of the ceiling and a camera crew to run out. Sadly that wasn't the case. I will not be back...

I called ahead, and asked if they sold Washington State Parks Discover Passes. Yes! says the…read moreperson who answered the phone. So, on a dark and rainy Puyallup night I drove to their store. The first clerk I asked to sell me a pass fumbled around and could not log into a computer. He made an odd, childish sounding call to another clerk. That person came and the two of them would have been comical to watch, if not so sad. After about 5 minutes, clerk 2 called his manager. I had the dubious please of listening to first questions about the computer ( I could tell it was not good news of some type), then a long conversation about sales, socks and things the clerk was to do. It was very clear the customer standing awkwardly in their store was not important. So, after the call, I'd been in the store 10-15 minutes. The clerk addresses me, while looking down and to his left, like he was afraid of me. I had NOT said a single word at this point. He gave a long-winded excuse, this was a known issue, they had submitted tickets, they simply had to call the state and get it fixed. I simply said OK and left to find another store and by my pass. This store needs training and a manager shake up. To not post the computer was broke (so I would not drive there in the first place), to not notify staff, to not care about the customer standing there while they were talking socks and sales.... Everything that is wrong about retail training and service is endemic to this store.

I really like this new Biig 5 store they opened in Puyallup, its away from the South Hill Mak…read morenightmare area so can avoid it and just go here if I need to get shoes! They always have good prices and quality of shoes, and UNLIKE Target, they have Men shoes! Yay! They also have a good selection of camping stuff, hunting, and fishing and whatever else a active outdoor life needs :) I do think this store has real friendly and helpful employees as well.

Dropped by to look for some quality shoes on sale and found 3! Paid a total of $175 for the 3!!! Original prices would have totaled over $350, so a wicked great deal! Half price. She was very rude to my husband non cooperative he asked for a different sales associate someone that familiar with us sh stated she wasn't in. We didn't get to fix our purchase and we had to drive an hour to come back to the store to fix the issue. Olivia needs a new job we spend thousands with this company never had issues ever...! she doesn't seem to want to work and her attitude unacceptable. We don't feel like we are important customers to Buckle she must have not been trained well with customer service at such a high quality establishment.
