I came to pick up my Online order and was immediately greeted upon entering the store even though it was busy. The young lady told me where I could go for my order pick up and once in line I waited only a couple minutes before I was helped. And while I waited at the register for the young lady to bring my package another young lady asked if I had been helped. I try to avoid this place and go to other locations because of their poor customer service. This is the second time they are rude. My daughter asked if they carried a certain style of jeans and although we were the only customer in the store they just pointed and we weee told to go find them ourselves . When ready to check out no one would come to the counter. I asked the nearby employee for help , I was told to wait and when another employee came back out to check us out they questioned me and asked if I was firs or the other customer that had just walked up. first time ever shopping there and was waiting for the fitting room, I was told to wait by the entrance that someone will be there to help me... I must of waited at least 10 min. There were only two workers that I saw. One was ringin up a guest the second kept walking around. So I waited thinking maybe the employee at the register had the fitting room key. the other customer finished their transaction and left. The two employers started to talk. Not once acknowledging that my wife and I where standing there holding pants to try on. Then a couple exited the fitting room and the cashier asked if they needed help. i asked out loud can someone help me with the fitting room. By this time it's been almost 15 min. I was ignored. I asked again and was ignored I said it a thrid time to which my wife asked me are you being ignored. I said I think so. At that moment the cashier looks over her shoulder and says ya I heard you. I replied you could have atleast acknowledge us. At this point she turned around and ignored me again. so I stated I was not spending my money there and walked out. The other worker then said oh did you need help with something? Very sarcastically. i find it very rude and unprofessional of your employees to treat customers that way. I was orignally going to start wearing AE pants as my wife recommended them since she only shops at AE. However that will no longer be happening. We will both take our business elsewhere. read more

I live in Temecula and I drive all the way to this AE in a Riverside, because they really train their staff on customer service. When I first went last year, I didn't even know my size or what style I would like and the whole staff at the store helped me pick everything out with their recommendations. They are all so sweet and genuinely want to help you when you shop! I have been buying my jeans there ever since. I recently went again last week, and even with new employees, the store has a great sense of customer service and really delivers satisfaction. 10/10 !! read more

Covid health and safety measures are taken seriously here, and I sincerely appreciate them for this. I've been a huge fan of AEO ever since my aunt introduced them to me over 10 years ago. This store has been the main location I go to if I don't order online. The store is always clean and organized and customer service is always amazing. Management has consistently done a great job. They allow very little people in the store and there is hand sanitizer everywhere. The fitting rooms are open but they have a box for you to put the clothes in after you tried them on. I'm a huge fan of AEO clearance because if its not on clearance then it's expensive. Quality is amazing, return policy is the best, and I love their representation of models. Workers are extremely rude. No one greeted me and everyone just keep mad dogging me as if I was going to steal something. Prices were misplaced for the buy 1 get 1 50% off they didn't want to honor it until I made it obvious I wasn't going to leave. I work customer service and at the end of the day it's not the customers fault the price is in the wrong spot. You have to honor it! Clothing selection is horrible as well read more

I came in here on a Wednesday evening to show my mom the great jeans I've been wearing for over a year. I am highly bothered by the lack of customer service provided by the employees. Never once was asked if we found everything we needed, never offered a different size. I had to find the employee in the store in order to have my mom try on some jeans. As I was shopping around I overheard the 2 employees talking about their own personal lives and issues they were having with friends/relationships while completely ignoring us. I get it, we all need someone to vent to but please don't ignore your paying customers. I've been to plenty of American eagles and this was by far the worse experience I've had. My boyfriend and I were racially profiled. The second we walked into the store, Nicole went up to us and said "are you even going to buy anything?" Mind you, we were planning on buying a $50 shirt we just didn't know which one yet and of course she didn't go around and ask this same question to any other customer. My boyfriend was clearly upset after this aggressive interaction and if you are brown or black, this is not a safe place to shop. Tiffany & Rachel, the on-floor associates helped me make this an easy return. Luckily, I was able to purchase the exact same item in store that were sold out online! Received terrible customer service from the STORE MANAGER, honestly I've been a shopper for years and have always taken my teenage son and daughters to buy jeans and other apparel here but honestly since the change in management it's disgusting. STORE manager doesn't care about covid rules which makes me question who could of hire this incompetent employee. When I walked in she was literally masked down on the table having a FaceTime call with her husband I presume and not doing her job unless calling husbands during company hours is what she's getting payed to do. This is my all time favorite store and idk why the other reviews are so bad maybe I just get lucky but I'm always greeted right away, always offered help, the girls are always nice! Tonight I was helped mostly by Jacquelyn I kept calling her jacky sorry haha but she gave me a really good genuine vibe when she said if there's anything you need let me know! If I could leave 0 stars I would!! I have never had or gave a retail employee any issues ever in my life until today with the "STORE MANAGER" Evan. The online return policy clearly states there is no time limit to return also if you do not have tags you will still be able to return as long as you have the order # which I did just not the tags! And he threw me a store receipt that says on the back they may refuse returns if the product seems damaged. THESE HAVE NEVER BEEN WORN/WASHED. Only just to try on since I ordered them online. And online does not give those store receipts that state that little comment. So I went by the online return policy since that is how I purchased them. And he had the nerve to still say "I can't resell these" lol like what ?? So I called customer service and they gave me a full refund and a return label to return my jeans. This store is the worst!! The other 2 employees that initially helped me out were the best until this so called store manager Evan. Also I've never left anyone a review until now. read more

I love this store, because I'm a tall girl. And pants that are size long are hard to come by. She and I had a great conversation and seemed like she genuinely wanted to talk with me. I literally had never walked in to a store where I automatically felt so welcomed. The atmosphere of the store and the people working there was genuinely real. I was acknowledge upon entering the store and the girl who greeted me didn't hassle me with overwhelming promotions or questions. She approached me like a friend and then helped me find outfits. The most impressive thing was her knowledge of the product she was throwing at me, she knew the lengths, the trends, the fits, even told me how it was made and the details that went into making the product. I mean once I knew all that it didn't hurt at all paying what I did for my jeans and my shorts. That's not the best part though- excuse me, I meant to say that's not the ONLY best part, my experience in the fitting rooms was even more impressive when I was being helped by the two other people in the store, one started me a room and the other one brought me stuff I would never even think of trying on. I ended up buying most of the stuff they picked out for me. It was my best experience at any store and I wish i could tell everyone about it. Oh, and did I mention that they were busy?
