This store really organized itself from the last time I visited. It's still small and there's no Aerie collection, but it has the latest items coming out. I have to say that the sales associates there are really friendly and helpful. But I guess that's kind of bad if I just want to browse and feel pressured about buying. This AE store is very small and lacks the Aerie collection, still. It's pretty crowded on weekends, with tons of teenagers (like me) in the store. The store isn't very organized, but the fitting room line and checkout line aren't too long of a wait. Omg this store was so crowded with teenagers who are loud and rude. The store was clean for the most part with staff trying to fix up the clothing displays well the customers were pulling everything out. The staff was nice and helpful but seemed a little rushed. Trying to get on line to pay for your items is a pain in the butt because its hard to determine where the line starts and ends. Even when you find where the line starts people were walking into start of you on line because they too were confused. Once on line your called to the register by the cashier. I made a complete circle around the registers because of the way the lines are called. The cashiers are nice but somewhat annoying trying to get you to open up a store credit card. I LOVE American Eagle's products and this is NOT a review on their products but the customer service I received here today. I wanted to buy a tank top and needed a size small and there were none left in the pile. But alas! There was a small left hanging on the display. Amongst other tank tops on display in other sizes. I asked a sales associate if I can take the display top and maybe they can just stick a medium on the display. She said she doesn't think they can do that but that she would ask the manager. Just as I was picturing what bottoms I would pair with this tank top, the sales associate said the manager said no! WHAT THE HELL?! No?! Please...I worked in retail and we would take dresses off of a mannequin if the customer seemed serious about purchasing it. And this was on a hook! Not even a mannequin! The manager said that they could order it for me. Yeah, no thanks. I'm physically staring at the size I need I'll take my business else where. IDIOTIC rules that make zero sense. They lost out on my purchase today because I would have bought it. Now it's just hanging on that hook. Aerie on the other hand (in the same store as AE) was lovely and the girls working in there were lovely and helpful. read more

Always go to AE, I order a lot from here online! Literally. Went here to return 3 items that sadly did not fit the way I would like them to fit, so I came and the girl cashier (heard she's a manager, which idk when AE started hiring horrible people who lack the skills of customer service) she gave me an attitude, the second I got to the register, I let it go, whatever. I did not hear her ask me if I was a rewards member which is why I never gave my number, had my 3 items and emails ready but somehow did not find the 2nd order which is really weird since I had it literally before I got there. You could tell she was super impatient, she was giving me attitude the whole time I was trying to look for the orders on my phone. She deff made it seem like it was my fault, and that I was wasting her time, whatever she told me if I have the app, I can view my orders, so I finally found it, she asked me for id, I did not have my id, all the information was in my order in my app!!! I know because I've done returns at AE and never had a problem. She was nothing but disrespectful and impatient and such a shame that one of my favorite stores can hire a girl like this. Just terrible, this place made me so stressed I cried. I went to return poorly fitted clothes that I bought online. I spent 40 minutes of them tossing me from register to register trying to get my return in order. The reason why it wasn't working is because they don't do returns on Apple Pay. Also they made me run around the girl in the store because they LOST ALL MY CLOTHES. So unprofessional. Not only did I have to follow her because she gave me no information about what exactly she was doing they completely lost shorts that I had. She returned them in cash for me but it's disgusting I wasted an hour on this. So she gave me my clothes back in a bag. When I was walking out, the door beeped. Like any person I walked back and gave my bag to the security. I had pants inside with a tag! Which the girl handed to me! Are you serious? So now they're all looking at me like I'm a criminal and I have to stand there for additional time feeling embarrassed because of this girls mistake. Eventually they let me go and apologized. As I am walking to my bus stop down the block I realize I'm missing a pair of jeans, not only did they accuse me of stealing jeans they stole my jeans.. I hate this store. I've spent thousands of dollars here and honestly never again. So I had to go back and I was in tears because these people have ran me through hell and back & the hour and change I lost? I was browsing at AE in Queens Center Mall today (10/25/14 2:00 PM) and I must say that customer service there just stinks. I went in the fitting room to be greeted by a customer rep with a huge attitude. They have a new system now where they are very interactive with the customers and I do appreciate that but when this staff member came to knock at my fitting room door to check on me, I did answer him and said that everything is OK. A minute later he goes ahead and opens my door without knocking! Noticing that I am in there, he doesn't even apologize for barging in and just angrily tells me, "I asked you how you were doing, you could've said something!", then he turns around and doesn't even let me talk. Clearly, he didn't hear me answer him the first time BUT he could have knocked again and repeated his question before barging in my room! I was clearly still inside!! I did not retaliate. But to top it off, I asked where I could leave the items that did not fit and he just pointed at a hamper looking clearly annoyed at me. WTF?? Very rude! American Eagle, you need to do a staff meeting and put a better system where employees are not overwhelmed. So I recently ordered a birthday gift for my friend from AE, and after a few days, I finally realized they're sending my package to the wrong address. The address they sent it to is a combination of my shipping address and my billing address, which are different, and they sent it to this made up place. I know because it's my hometown, where I've lived for 18+ years, but the street address of my college. Two completely different places. I called and they told me I have to wait for UPS to send it back, for them to reprocess it and it to get sent out again, taking 2-4 weeks. I just recently went to this location, and it was a semi-horrible experience. It was right around closing time and two girls were helping me in the fitting room and aerie section. They were both very nice, great service from them- only reason why I'm giving two starts. However, once I went to check out was when it went down hill. The young lady checking me out was super impatient, didn't understand anything I was trying to tell her (I was trying to order a bathing suit to ship to my house) and then proceeded to make me feel like it was my fault she wasn't understanding. After about 15 mind going back and forth, I set my phone down while paying, turned my back because something was behind me and by the time I turned back, my phone was gone. I tried multiple times to call it, then requested the manager. She told me to retrace my steps, which I did, looked around where I was paying. Several people were trying to help me. I told the manager to review the cameras. When she did, she told me nobody walked behind me or near me to be able to steal my phone. I am almost 98% positive it was the cashier who stole my phone. I've only received one phone call from the store saying they haven't found anything, and that they will still keep looking. Worst experience. read more

I can't ! First time giving a 1 star. I was so disappointed. I order clothes online, they sent me the wrong size for almost half of the order. I went to the store and ask if I can return it, the guy left me hanging for at least 15 min!!!! I can't believe it! He just left me there, while there's still other staff that are free! He came back and was like I can't return it for u bc the item u bought wasn't on the receipt. My friend next to me was like " no shit, u guys sent the wrong item that she order, how is gonna be on the receipt." I can't do anything with the cloth and the clothes doesn't fit me at all. This place is a mess. It really isn't organized. When you walk in, right in the center, there is the checkout area. However, there is not indication on where the line starts or begins! There is no sign and there is no rope. Oh wait I'm sorry there is a rope on the left side, which doesn't help at all and has no sign on it indicating where a line should begin. There staff and the managers in the store make it seem like a displeasing environment to work it. I went there and as I was with a cashier who was helping me with a return. The cashier was having a little difficulty and it took awhile. The store was filled but no one was really waiting online. I heard the manager who was by the entrance and she was speaking into her walkie talkie saying, "Cmon lets go, I can do 5 checkouts in 20 seconds". She was putting a lot of pressure on the cashier for no reason. I also heard the manager in an dull commanding voice telling her employees to clean up and check the stock room and to hurry up. I'm a pretty big fan of American Eagle and I go to this one quite often because the mall it's in is really near my house and there's also loads of other stores around here that I love shopping at. However, these last few experiences here have not been as pleasant. First of all, the clothes aren't as good as they once were (in my opinion) and the service has certainly gone down. Before they would always ask if I needed assistance and give a bright smile and their names but now they would ignore me and the sales people would often play around amongst themselves. For example when I asked to go into a fitting room they wouldn't replay at first and the lady was laughing away until the guy threw a key at her and it clanked to the other side of the wall and she had to get it and she was laughing while the opened the door to let me in. She asked how many items I had and she counted to three before sayin "eh whatever just go in". After trying on a few items I realized the jeans didnt' quite fit because I have a really small waist and even size 00 was a bit loose around the calves so I gave them to a lady and she was actually quite nice and joked a little saying maybe I should go to the children's section for jeans. Later on I decided I quite liked one of their fashion tees so I went to pay. I have an Aerowards card when you get a point for every dollar you spend and you can get coupons for a certain percent off according to how many points you make within a few months. Usually since I have this card and it's my birthday month I should be able to get 15% off however this sales lady insisted that I needed an ID to prove that it really was my birthday. I was quite annoyed at first because when I first signed up for the card I had submitted my birthday so it should've been in the system and I was simply cruising the mall so of course I didn't have an ID that had my birthday on it. In fact the only ID I could think of with a birthday would be a passport and I hardly see the reason to bring that around. On top of that her attitude was horrible and when I was discussing with my friend to see what I should do she asked "you're holding up the line, do you want it or not". In the end I decided that I wanted the shirt quite alot so I payed the pricey price of $25 for a shirt and she didn't even had me the bag I got it myself and she didn't even say "have a nice day" or "come again". She just yelled "next!". It was quite aggravating and frustrating and after this experiecne I am no longer that keen to go to this American Eagle anymroe. read more
