Their store seems to be one of the most popular in the mall, and they have good neutrals for all ages. They also have lots of trendier items aimed towards high school/college students, but I can usually find at least one or two things I'm intrigued by. Laid back and refined American fashion for men and women. This location is easy to access and great for families where everyone can spread out and hit their store in the strip mall. AEO owns the higher quality denim: the obvious option for all us guys that love comfort and look for finishes and fits that work with our personal style. American Eagle does the stretch material best and few come close to their comfort! Hollister, H&M, Buckle, and even Diesel have not crafted jeans as good or as easy to find. I come here for the sales yet often end up back online due to the extremely disorganized presentation of discounted items, lacking consistent pricing, and confusing markdowns making me always uncertain what the price actually is. I've switched to purchasing almost all my clothes and shoes online because of how quickly I waste time in stores but wish it was easier to see the best prices in one store to save time and know what the stuff really looks like. read more

It's unfortunate that I am not the only one who experienced the same thing with this store regarding their employees. I walked into this store and no other customers were there at that time. There were only two employees at the front folding/talking. Neither one of them said "hi welcome" or "can we help with you anything." I had to make the first move. I informed them I was there because I had something to exchange. (They were the only employees working) They both looked at each other like "I dont want to take her" and one finally said "Ill help you." as if it was a burden. The rudeness didnt stop there. I had a question about a kimono that I received for Christmas that had a hole. I showed her the receipt and without even double checking she said "thats the wrong one that says scarf" I said "no, thats the only receipt i got for my gift and i know the person who bought it for me did not buy anything else from here" She said rudely "well its not the right receipt." I was shocked and confused so I picked up the receipt and started to double check the SKU - thats when she RIPPED the receipt out of my hands !!!! and said "ill check it" End the end, I was right- as I knew. But why did it have to go to that length of ME starting to check it in the first place for her to help/check? Like why was she so quick to be like "youre wro Anyways. I was shocked/yet not surprised to see others have had the same experience because those girls were rude that day. I've only wrote 2 reviews in my like 500 years of having yelp on my phone, and the fact I got on and wrote this says a lot about how bad the customer service is here. :/ read more

I don't typically shop at American Eagle but went in to see what was available. There were many employees but did not get any interaction while I walked around. I found something I wanted and went to the counter where one employee was working. Three other employees were keeping busy by the checkout but did not move to help me. When the checkout employee took a little longer with a return another employee finally came over and began to ring me out. I attempted to use a valid coupon I presented on my phone and was told this store does not take electronic coupons. Overall I had a very poor experience and will not return, validating why I haven't shopped AE in such a long time. By comparison, every other store I visited that day greeted me upon entering the store and offered assistance. read more

When walking into the store, I was never greeted and was ignored by all staff members. While shopping, I found a shirt that I loved but it was one size too small. I found an employee and asked him where I could find more of the same shirt. He then responded "Oh well that's probably the last one" he turned around and began to walk away. I then asked, "Can you check in the back for more?" He turned back around, rolled his eyes and said "Sure." He NEVER went to the back to look. I asked if he had found it and he said "No" He handed me back the shirt and I said "Oh. I don't want that one, it doesn't fit me but thank you" He said "Ok well it goes back in clearance" I guess he expected me to hang it up for him?! You're better off going to the American Eagle at castleton or shopping online. The workers here are absolutely nasty & I'm suspecting a little prejudice because I'm never greeted when I enter, but the people after me are. When I went to check out with over $100 worth of merchandise, the guy at the counter asked for my AE rewards card and honest to GOD threw my card back over the counter at me. Then, he rolled his eyes at me when I asked if a sweater was on sale becuase it was on the sale rack. I snatched my bag and left without a thank you or anything. These workers are super unprofessional, and rude so I won't be shopping at AE anymore considering the rude, immature people that are hired at their stores. read more

The cashier was most likely new, which I understand. What I don't understand is that she literally wadded each pair of the pants I bought into a ball and put them in the bag. Super lazy. My 8 year old can fold a pair of pants, why can't she? read more

Friendly staff, surprising variety of items and nice displays, the clearance is always worth a few minutes of browsing. If you are a fan of the American Eagle brand this is very convenient to avoid a trip to the mall. If not, pop in and you might be surprised with what they offer. read more

I visited the American Eagle store at Clay Terrace on Friday, 10/02/2020. I have never received such awful customer service in my life. I walked into the store and walked past two employees and went straight to the counter as I had a return. Neither store employee acknowledged me at all. I then had to approach one and let her know that I was here to return/exchange an item. I was met with an eye roll and made to feel like I was completely wasting her time. She then preceded to work the register all while laughing and talking into the mic to the other employee that was there. Not once was I greeted with a hello, I'm sorry, literally NOTHING. I asked the you g lady what her name was and she starkly asked "Why?!" She eventually told me her name was Kim. I highly doubt this was her name however what I can tell you is that thanks to "Kim", I will never visit this store again. Awful awful customer service. I was appalled! I will drive 10 minutes out of my way just to go to the other store. I really hope the manager sees this and explains what real customer service is. Yikes! read more

I typically never leave reviews let alone bad reviews as everyone has an off day now or then. However, this experience was absolutely ridiculous and warranted a singling out. Horrendous customer service by Cashier JR5554 (unfortunately your receipt doesn't give any better identifying information than that, although you should easily be able to identify her by this, she had her badged turned around which now I realize was for good reason). I'm waiting in line and she bellows out "Next", I can't make my way up to her as I have a few people walking by directly in front of me and a couple others at the first cash register closest to me. I look at her to acknowledge her and she rudely bellows a second time: "yes you, I said next for a reason." At which point the other cashier looks up shocked and clearly apologetic and the two customers at the first cash register also look at me in shock that she said this. When I get to her and begin my transaction she proceeds to rudely ball up and throw my clothes in a bag after I laid them down folded (not a big deal but frustrating nonetheless after the extremely rude intro), and finally to top it off she states "yep" to conclude the transaction, instead of a good day or thank you. I will never shop at this AE again, I can see by many of the non puff, the puff ones probably being submitted by management, reviews that management continues to keep these rude cashiers and service clerks despite their horrendous treatment of customers. I would argue that this cashier should be canned immediately, but it's obvious she wouldn't care in the least and management most likely doesn't either. What she really needs is a good slap in the face from her mother. Extremely rude, absolutely no business in this profession, and is the epitome of why this specific AE is crumbling. Management: Check yourself before you wreck yourself. read more
