I try my best to work with local companies whenever possible. Sadly, my 20 year long business association with AD&F has come to an end. Two factors contributed to this.
1. The overall quality of AMD&F's product has gone down. Pillows arrive lumpy, cushions are not made to the specs, Dacron is not secured and generally just poor/rushed craftsmanship. Luckily I run a workroom & have been able to make alterations to their products before reaching my customers. But if you don't have access to the necessary tools, be prepared to deal with AD&F's customer service as the issues get resolved.
2. Most importantly, AD&F's customer service is terrible & in many cases non-existent. The primary sales agent is rude, condescending & un-willing to do her job. AD&F has an extensive product line & there is little effort made to help explain what's available. No advice on which items / style of construction is beneficial or more cost effective. You get the bare minimum. If you're off by one word in an email, it can cost you hundreds of dollars &/ an enormous amount of time & effort to correct.
Against my better judgment & in an effort to continue supporting my local community, on 10/25/24 I gave AD&F's customer service an opportunity to bid and accept a job. Clearly 'she' chose to be rude & suggest that somehow after 20 years of uninterrupted business, that I was not an effective communicator. I'd argue that she has become complacent & lazy!! How many other small businesses have moved on from AD&F because of this individual & her lack of customer service? It's my hope that upper management will take this into consideration when reviewing this employee's performance at the end of the year. Attention to this matter stands to greatly improve AD&F's service to its' community at large. read more
