They were very professional, so much so that our neighbor commented on how professional they were. My wife and I visited the showroom one Saturday. We wanted a vinyl railing to replace our 26 year…read moreold metal porch railing. The salesman came out the very next Monday to take measurements and provide me with several options. The install was started on a Friday. Once the install was started I was very impressed that even though it took several days, they never missed a workday. Even when it rained part of the day, the installer worked the other half of the day. No wasted time. I had one minor detail that I wanted fixed (1 upside down spindle). Within an hour of calling the office with my request, the installer was out and made the fix. (Very professional, couldn't ask for better service).

This was our 2nd time using Creative Deck. This review is for customer awareness. We contacted the…read morecompany and discussed these matters with them before posting this. #1 - Although we are the property/homeowner, you do not have to be home during install. We are nervous homeowners. We took off work to be there. Unlike other construction we have used, Creative has only ONE crew that installs. That weight is on the ONE foreman who will have to take off work unexpectedly. No one showed. #2 - Calls the day of. We were called the morning of and asked "Can they come today?" We felt this "same day" scheduling was very erratic, compared to what we experienced with this company before. #3 - Customers - mark your wires and inform your adjuster. Your buried internet and automower wires are not marked by the Utility company. Inform your adjuster so he/she can help you get these marked. The 3-star rating was a 1-star. The company took time to speak with us about the issues, so we are showing some teamwork. Gary has been there for decades and knows his stuff. The management here - doesn't have time for conversation or empathy. They will throw the paper work back in at you, and you can see that response in their comments to reviews here. Sometime everything legal isn't moral/correct. We aren't sure we will use them again. It just seems sloppy and unorganized for our type of property ownership. I'm sure it would work great for other types of homeowners.

He communicated with me directly at every step, which is more than I can say for our landlord! When he and his crew showed up to begin work, we didn't know they were coming - so all of our stuff was still on the old balcony and the lanai underneath. No complaints from them, they just started moving everything. From start to finish, I could see the quality of their work (I actually have some construction experience). They were polite, respectful, and along with the solid construction, cleaned up after themselves when finished. I didn't pay for the new balcony, so I have no idea of the cost, but I would certainly hire these folks myself if I needed a deck or other such work.

They were the lowest cost, but still competitive, and went the extra mile to hand dig every fence post so as not to hit any buried electrical lines. We contracted Winkler Deck and Fence to replace 4 gates and perform minor repairs on our existing…read morefence after receiving a referral. The initial engagement with the owner Curt was pleasant, the quote we received was reasonable, and the job started 8 weeks after we signed the contract. Unfortunately, that's where the good ended... On the day of the job, the crew didn't let us know they were onsite, which wasn't a good start. Then after the work was completed they left without notifying us that the job was done nor doing a walkthrough with us. The next day we looked over the work and noticed that two of the installed gates were not level and were substantially tilted to one side. We contacted their office manager, Tammy, who stated that the owner Curt would stop by the following day to review the issues. Curt was a no-show and after following up with Tammy she stated he would stop by the next day instead. He was again a no-show. We once again followed up and asked for a specific day and time that they would come out so that we didn't have to miss work again and never received a response... The following weekend Curt finally showed up unannounced and without notice and never apologized for the no-shows. He then immediately asked in a defensive tone "What's your problem with the gates?". We explained the issue and he tried to blame it on the previous fence builder. We stated that the previous gates were level and installed correctly and he replied "Well then what do you expect, this was a repair job". Uh ok... I expect properly built and installed gates, per our contract. He finally agreed that one of the gates should be rebuilt after initially denying it had issues and said he would try to reposition the other gate to reduce the slant, but he clearly was not happy about doing the work. Also, after providing feedback on the crew's disappearing act he stated "We have bigger jobs than this that are more important". When I stated I couldn't recommend them to others due to their lack of customer service, he walked off and barked "We have plenty of other work in this area so I'm not worried about it". Wow... A simple apology would have gone a long way... Ultimately they did fix the gates and followed up to see if we were satisfied. However, based on our overall experience I would not recommend this company due to their lack of basic customer service, lack of basic respect for their customers, and shoddy workmanship. Also, they clearly don't value smaller jobs, which is a bad move on their part because they lost future business with me as well as my neighbors who asked about my experience.

Even though I got back to her after couple of months, she honored the estimate that she had given to me earlier. She even went out of her way to get me in touch with a contractor to help prep the existing cabinets before installing the granite countertops. 2) The guys from AGS were all very good and extremely polite. They put drop cloths on the floor and made sure to clean up any messes before they left. 3) I was a bit unsure of how AGS would be after reading their Yelp reviews (since I had placed the order before reading the reviews). But I have to say that they did not disappoint me at all in terms of pricing and services. 4) Last but not the least, their store has two big cats. They steal away all the show and are super adorable.

I wish…read moreI'd paid closer attention to the red flags before I put down a deposit, because things went downhill as soon as they had my money.   Throughout the entire process I felt like I was never given the information I needed, and my questions repeatedly went unanswered even after bringing them up multiple times. The templater only measured half the project and then AGS blamed me for it. Never in my wildest dreams would I even think about blaming a client for one of my people not having everything they need to do the job, and they then doubled down in wholly unprofessional late night email I was told "he's not a mind reader lol" and that I was supposed to tell him what to do. I don't expect anyone to be a mind reader, I expect AGS to provide its people with basic information such as the current scope of the project, AGS apparently feels that's not their responsibility.  Scheduling installation was awful. Multiple people reaching out and it's not clear if they were communicating with each other at all. AGS wound up having to reschedule but then the second person scheduled us for a time when I specifically said I wasn't available. I would have rescheduled again but by this point I just wanted these people out of my life as soon as possible so I rearranged my schedule to make it work. My questions about what to expect on installation day were never answered, again, even after following up multiple times. This resulted in confusion around payment which could have been easily avoided if they'd just answered my questions literally at all ever.
