The company takes pride in its work and DOES sweat the details (in a good way!), ensuring there are no surprises when it comes to functionality, aesthetics, schedule, and costs. Their pricing was fair, and as someone who is a value-conscious consumer, I felt like the quality of the work - not to mention the ease of working with them - was tremendous for the price paid. They also were simply pleasant to have in our home for the better part of three months; they were always incredibly prompt, cleaned up after themselves, and treated our entire family, including kids and cats, with a lot of care. At one point they even helped me push my stuck car out of the mud I'd parked in to free up spots for their trucks. I'm also including some photos so you can see the quality of their work. My very experienced realtor told me these look like remodels that cost twice the price. Right from the start, Parviz gave us confidence that the work would be done well. He listened to what we wanted and provided us a complete estimate. He visited the site regularly, checking on his employees and asking us if we had any questions. When I reported to him that one of his employees wasn't getting as much done as the other, he pulled the employee from the job and put someone else on it. When I noted a seam in the wallboard, he had his workers flatten it and repaint. When he noticed peeling paint around a window that we hadn't asked him to address, he had his workers take care of it anyway. And when the supports for a shower rod got lost, he had an employee purchase, deliver, and install a shower rod. They even provided a shower curtain and hooks! The main project was to replace more than two dozen rotting boards and the steps on our 20-year-old deck, ensure the structural integrity of the deck, and jack up a corner of the deck that had sunk a couple of inches. He also power-washed the deck and the siding of the house that faced the deck. We also needed work done indoors. He repaired a door frame to a bedroom, fixed a broken storm door, replaced marble tile in our foyer, installed a missing sliding closet door, and procured and installed beautiful luxury plank vinyl flooring for a bedroom. He communicated clearly with us throughout every project, made suggestions when he saw something that needed improvement, and always checked with us when a decision needed to be made. In every situation, he did high-quality work in a very timely fashion. He always arrived when he said he would, made sure that the times were convenient for us, and always left the work area clean and organized. As of 12/08/2025, I have not received the estimate, nor heard from Buzz Bunting again. Very unprofessional. I hate having strangers come into my private residence for the purpose of providing service/estimates then disappearing without a word...feels weird and sketchy. Mark's company The Carpet Guy was a subcontractor to our Home Improvement Contractor and was a…read morebright star in a renovation that was fraught with trouble. I first met Mario and his crew in the midst of their install during a random visit to our home. Mario took the time to introduce himself and crew, whose names I've forgotten, and show us around the carpeting. Everyone that we dealt with from The Carpet Guy was genuinely friendly and very professional. The carpet looks and feels great, such an improvement over the ancient carpet we had. We had carpet installed in a total of eight rooms so have plenty of opportunity to enjoy the quality of the carpet, the pad, and the invisibility of the seams. A couple of friends commented on the install, we've even had someone ask for the company's contact information. There were two things that needed to be resolved throughout the process, we were told that their supplier had shorted them a section of carpet, the material arrived and was installed in short order. Mario even took the time to share that that particular seam was inside the closet so it wouldn't be walked over as much and he wanted me to see the quality of the seam. Shortly after the install was complete, I was making a very critical examination of the carpet and looking for defects when I discovered that I could feel the tack strip around the tiled area near out fireplace. I called Mark he told me he'd have Mario stop by and knock down the tack strip, Mario called me soon after and asked if he could stop by on a Saturday. In short order the tacks were knocked down and I was invited to check the work. Simply put, I was well treated, the materials and workmanship are wonderful, and I would highly recommend The Carpet Guy to anyone who asked.
