The young lady that works there is terrific. Ownership is ridiculous. They fix a button, I wear it once. Literally bring the pants back two days later. The girl apologized but said there is no way that the owner won't charge me to repair it again ....while I thought that was ridiculous, I was there and it was only two dollars so it wasn't going to change my life. I come back when it was done and gave my debit card and was apologized to again by the very sweet you lady that works there, but told that she would have to charge me 5 dollars if I wanted to used my card. Who carries cash anymore, every place takes debit cards and factors the card fees into their cost of doing business. I will never use them again. read more

This place was horrible, extremely disappointing. My dress for prom was ruined beyond repair and my mom had to go buy a new dress only 2 days prior to my prom date. When we called, they told us that they just followed the instructions on the tag and NO WAY was how my dress turned out came from "following instructions on the tag." The dress reads "spot cleaning" but nearly all the glitter fell off of the dress, there are holes and wrinkles. I felt like it was thrown in the washing machine. And there were for sure no holes in the dress before we brought it in this cleaners, it was new! Do not go to this place, this is a warning for everyone considering dry cleaning at this place. This place isn't as bad as that horrible $1.99 place, but it was still among the worst dry cleaners I've ever used. We kept going back because I thought maybe I was being too picky, we tried to give them the benefit of doubt that occasional mistakes will happen, and we didn't know of another cleaners conveniently located enough. But I finally got fed up with them after they kept repeatedly putting multiple creases in all of our pants (including the ones with very obvious permanent creases) and ruined several expensive shirts. read more

I took three suits to be dry cleaned here. I noticed a pack of cigarettes and an ashtray on one of the counters, but I'll be honest, I didn't think much about it. When my suits came back to me a few days later, they all smelled like smoke. Every.single.one.of.them. I had to Febreze them all before hanging them up in my closet to air them out. Recently,I took a small area rug to American Cleaners for cleaning. When I brought the item home, my wife noticed some markings on the rug that were the result of the cleaning process. They will take your clothes to be altered, never give you a price and then charge an unreasonable amount of money when you come to pick up (what choice do you have at that point). Very unhappy. I took my very nice pants to be cleaned and they shrunk them. They insisted they made no mistake and would offer nothing toward replacing them. My pants fit when I took them in and now they do not - very simple. The woman I spoke with at the processing plant and the woman in the store were rude and completely without any customer service skills. I will never use this chain of stores ever again. read more

I would like to make a review based on a previous review. I am a lead at American Cleaners and would like to state that "WE DO NOT ALLOW SMOKING IN OUR FACILITY." That being said, you would have never found a "pack of cigarettes nor an ash tray inside our store. As for your suits smelling of smoke, I do not see how that would be even possible. I have searched your name in our system and have no record of you being a customer of ours .If you were a customer under another name and you feel your clothing was not to your satisfactory we urge you to return them and we would gladly redo them for you. People are quick to jump online and bash a company and it's very upsetting. I urge you to contact the company to express your concerns as we would have gladly have done the cleaning process again. We were regular customers here for well over a year. I brought 4-5 shirts per week in, plus all our family dry cleaning. Recently I picked up my regular cleaning and noticed small black grease spots in various places on my white shirts. When I showed them to the lady she immediately became snotty and first said they were pieces of black lint. When I showed her that it was grease or ink and would spread if you scratched them with your finger, she grabbed them and said she would send them back through. When I picked them up 3 days later the spots were still in them. I am going to have to replace the shirts because of the black spots. I am not upset about the spots--stuff happens--but the snotty, angy response was unacceptable. She did not lose me because of the mistake, she lost me because of the attitude. Perhaps "American Cleaners" should learn something about American customer service skills before they immigrate to our country and want to start a business. The dry cleaning was fine. However, I had some simple alterations done on my wedding dress and it was such an amateur job that I was driven to tears! I was a bit suspect when she pinned up my chiffon dress with large safety pins instead of professional alteration pins. When the dress came back from the alleged ''seamstress'' they referred me to and I met with at their facility, I was definitely not happy with the sloppy stitching and tried to express this to the ''seamstress''. She had also attached the ends of the haltertop together and threw away the clasp! I could not even get the dress on over my head!! I had pictures of the dress to show but the seamstress kept denying that a clasp even existed!! WHAT??? After some time of trying to communicate my unhappiness, and becoming very frustrated that she did not seem to understand nor offer to fix the dress correctly, I felt that we had a language barrier, as she spoke little English. I turned to the worker there and she said to ME, 'YOU'RE BEING RUDE!" I was stunned! I had tried to remain very reasonable, despite the fact that my WEDDING dress was ruined, and my wedding was approaching, but no one seemed to be listening or care. I finally turned to leave and the seamstress said something about working on my wedding dress again, but at that point, I had had enough and did not want her, nor the rude dry cleaner worker, to be near my dress! I took the dress to a cleaners seamstress elsewhere, who shook her head in disbelief at the wreck of a sewing job this seamstress had done. All the uneven, crooked, and puckered up stitching had to be completely removed and done again at the last minute. My husband did go back to get the name of the owner so that this issue could be addressed, but we were not able to make contact. We have decided to NEVER AGAIN go to this cleaner, even though it means going into Tampa for our dry cleaning. I suggest you do the same. If you want your beautiful and expensive formal wear to be destroyed, have it altered here and be called ''rude'' because you are not happy with their sub par hack job. The cleaners should not offer the services of this terrible seamstress. I would give zero stars if I could. read more
