Fast forward to my flight. They requested a volunteer to give a seat up for 500. Since I spent 800. to fly out for my dads wife's passing. I thought I would try to make it count. Not realizing I would miss my connection and it was the last to CT. The employee's worked very hard to make the experience appealing. I wish I new all of their names. There was also a gentleman on standby in which he was pulled off the plane as well. All due to the heat and size of the plane. This gentleman was an employee of United Airlines and he played a role in assisting the other UA employees in the arrangements for flights and hotel reservations. They increased my flight voucher to $1000.00 along with setting me up at The Westin! Along with $50.00 worth of food vouchers. I thank all of you for working so hard for me! Great Job!

From the outer looks, the hotel seemed to be old but the rooms were clean and comfortable including all the options which can come handy for everyone who stays here. The bathroom was also clean and spotless and loved the hot water in the bathroom. It helped us to get comfortable after a long drive. The hotel also had a beautiful lobby with different breakfast options which was good for us. The front desk was friendly and also had a pool plus hot tub which was amazing part of the hotel.

It is dog friendly which is nice, and there's lots of green space around the property, it's just odd to reach through the pool area. There's a river running right next to the building which is peaceful. Also of note, the continental breakfast options were strong and good quality, available til 10am. The building itself is super dated and run down, and it's literally covered in cobwebs and bugs, seemingly hasn't been cleaned in years. The corridors and doors are covered in webs and dead bugs. There were several flies in my room when I first entered. Inside the rooms feel dated as well. There were rips in the window screen so opening the window was out. But the air conditioner was super weak and located in the bathroom area so that was useless. I needed to use laundry services and though the prices were fine, the dryer doesn't get clothes very dry. Lastly I accidentally left behind two garments in the room (left drying since the dryer left them damp) and when I called, no one from their staff turned them in, very odd and upsetting because I know I left them there. Durango is a pretty pricey town, but this place is definitely overpriced given how filthy and rundown it is.

After driving all the way from Dodge City, KS, I was really hoping that our reservations in Durango would not be a dump. Thankfully, the place was very nice, quiet, and south of the main drag through town. The only time this week came in issue is when we wanted to go to dinner, and not move the truck and trailer... We walked about half a mile up to a barbecue place, and our path took us through a defunct shopping mall parking lot. But as for the hotel itself, the rooms were clean, the air conditioner and TV worked well, and there were no mystery stains on the walls, bedspreads, or carpet. Honestly, we did much worse at other places during our 2022 Cross Country Rd. trip, and this was probably one of the nicer motels in this price range. After dinner, we enjoyed a quiet walk at sundown along the Animas River Trail, which more or less leads your back to this hotel. The complementary breakfast in the morning was pretty good, I stepper to about powdered eggs and reheated pastries. Fresh hot coffee always helps, and this place had plenty. My kids also really seem to enjoy hotel pools, and this place had a nice indoor pool and hot tub, both functioning properly. We would definitely stay here again.

I showed up at 6:05 , five minutes after the dining room opened for breakfast, for the free breakfast. There were they were just a tiny bit of eggs left and they were taken. So I informed the staff person that there were no eggs. She said they will be done in a second. It is now 6:40 in the morning. Still no eggs. I believe this lady running the kitchen in the morning should be replaced. It was a horrible experience dealing with her. It was her, the breakfast lady who singlehandedly ruined an other otherwise perfect stay.

We booked a few nights at the Marriott Durango and were disappointed with our experience,…read moreparticularly during check-in. As Titanium members, I inquired about a room upgrade. The front desk associate told me she would be happy to provide an upgrade, but I would have to pay the difference in room cost. When I mentioned our Titanium status, she explained that due to a recent system upgrade, the computer would not allow complimentary upgrades and that a guest the previous day had been charged extra when she attempted one. After getting to our room, I called the Titanium support line, which appeared to route to the standard Marriott customer service number. The representative initially tried to assist with the upgrade request but eventually transferred me to a manager. After explaining the situation, he placed me on hold and contacted the hotel. When he returned, he stated that upgrades are not guaranteed and that I would need to pay for any upgraded room. When I asked why, he became defensive and ultimately ended the call, which was frustrating. The room itself was nice and clean, but for a stay of several days, it would have been nice to have a larger room with a couch or additional living space. The hotel is conveniently located about a five-minute drive from downtown Durango and the train station. Breakfast was just okay; we mainly had cereal and drinks. One highlight of the property is the beautiful outdoor patio area, where deer frequently walk by while guests relax. Overall, the hotel has a good location and pleasant outdoor space, but the handling of elite benefits and customer service left us disappointed they had the rooms to upgrade it's not like the place was packed. This is the second Marriott that this happened all the others we had no issue on our 3 week trip.

We checked out in the morning and he calls back hours later , stating smoke was in the air ! Tried talking to the front desk and this guy lost his marbles and was talking out of character. I told him it smelled because we had went to a dispensary but he literally made up a story saying our room was like a cypress hill concert lol but we literally never smoked inside the room or vape ! Restrooms have sliding doors that don't close ! Breakfast was horrible, watered powdered eggs , fake bacon . Staff was horrible and ruined the whole experience, I was able to put up with crappy breakfast and the door but the staff just made this experience the worst. Stay away from here and spend it a hotel that you can have good memories .
