Booked a taxi three days in advance confirmed the day before for a 4:30 am pick up time. Taxi did not show. When I called they said they had it down for a 4:30pm pick up time. I asked if they could send someone and they said it would be 45 minutes. The man did not even apologize for the confusion. Ended up having to pay for airport parking. Will not use this company again. Should have stuck with Uber. read more

Needed the cab to arrive at 5:30am for us to make our train on time. Cab was five minutes late. Halfway through the ride, we notice there is no running meter in the vehicle. The driver said it is a private cab. We then asked how much will it cost to go from Aurora to Geneva's train station (literally a 10 min drive). Driver says $25.00. Outrageous. To make matters worse, he said he thought we were going to the airport because that what was said on the phone when the request for the cab was made. This was a lie as he never asked me where I was going. He said it would be either $25 or $45 since he missed a potential pickup at the airport as we weren't going there. Tried to call it even with us at $21.00. I gave him a $20 as I didn't have any smaller bills. I would've given $15.00 if I had a 10 and a 5. DO NOT USE THIS CAB SERVICE. Is there a zero star rating? Scheduled airport pick up at 5:40am. Driver didn't alert me he was on his way until he texted at 5:40am saying he was running 5 minutes late. He arrived 10 min late. Did not apologize. When you are trying to catch a plane every minute counts. Proceeded to drive 90 miles on the expressway and was pulled over by a cop for speeding. Became belligerent when I told him to slow down and do the speed limit. He threatened to drop my son and I off the side of the expressway. Not sure how Americab is vetting their drivers but obviously not purring professionalism and customer safety first. Never treated by cab service so rudely. read more

I give it a 1-star for the following reason: I reserved a cab on Sunday (Dec 27) on-line, gave the time and date of pickup, that's at 3:30am on Wednesday. I also chose to have a call back for confirmation. The process seemed simple and efficient. I waited. Nothing happened on Monday. I called in the afternoon to make sure they had my reservation. Yes. They did, and promised to give confirmation and send a coupon for round trip discount. Now it is Tuesday Afternoon and I still have NOT heard or seen any response. Since I MUST take this early ride or risk missing my international flight, I will not leave any chance for no show. I have to arrange for an alternate ride and I am really disappointed with this company's professionalism. read more

One of the worst cab services ever. Driver was late to begin with, rude and disrespectful. The manager was indifferent/careless. Shows up late when I have to catch a flight then both give me attitude. I'd rather walk than take this cab service. Easy no tip for the terrible driver too. read more

I scheduled my service from Joliet to O'Hare four days in advance. I spoke with them over the phone to change the time two days before. Five minutes after the scheduled time, no one was there. I called them again and they lost my reservation. I ended up driving myself and will never trust them again. read more

Called the day before to schedule a 3:45am pickup from Aurora to Ohare. They were well over 30 minutes late by the time we got in an uber. No call, no line to call during non business hours. Very disappointing. Will not be using again. read more

I will never use Americab in Aurora, IL again. The only thing I will give them credit for is being on time. I received a ride from Midway to Aurora, IL. The driver was rude, drove erratically, and almost hit someone because he was driving too fast. When I gave him my credit card for payment he asked me if I had cash. I told him no. I also gave him a small tip because I was not happy with his service. He proceeded to tell me that the the company charges him 10 percent for use of the credit card machine and the tip I gave him isn't even enough to cover that fee. Who says that? I called Americab to complain about this driver and the dispatcher was rude as well! I do not recommend this company! Find someone else. read more

I've tried several taxi companies for service to O'Hare. Multiple very disappointing experiences until recently when I discovered Americab. Service is very reliable - pick-ups right on time and they are waiting/ready for your return at the airport. Cars are really comfortable and super clean. Called this guy to get a cab from Bolingbrook to Midway. And yes it appears to be just one guy. Mentioned explicitly that we would need a car seat for our daughter. He said ok what time, gave him my pertinent info and thought all was well. Calls me 5 minutes after my scheduled pickup time to say he was 5 minutes away. I then ask again about the car seat just to confirm and he acts like he doesn't know what I'm talking about and says I never told him that, and that if I had, he would have told me they don't offer car seats. Well, that's lovely. His option was for us to bring our own car seat - which we would then have to put in checked luggage, or skip the car seat altogether. We debate a bit about what was said, and then I say 'hold on' to confer with the wife on our options. About 40 seconds later I pick the phone back up. He's hung up on me. I debate whether to call him back. A couple minutes pass. I call back. No answer. Guy never shows. Drove ourselves to the airport and paid for long term parking. Won't ever call this guy again. I used this taxi service on the regular to get around and at first the guy seemed really cool and was fast and on time, then he started being late all the time and would give me a price to go to the location and started saying he'd be there then when I already scheduled the ride for the way back after tipping him really good to get there out of no where 45 minutes after he was so pose to be there he'd call me and say he's going to the airport unless I double the price, I was like u already told me it be 30 bucks and we already scheduled this and done this and now your 45 minutes late telling me I have to pay double or your not coming, talk about unprofessional and trying to scam or take advantage of a good customer, was surprised after all the times I used the taxi service, then week later i decided to give him another try and again said he'd be there in a half hour and was 2 hours late I then ordered another taxi and was home by the time he arrived and told him to leave, if you don't wanna do your job then you shouldn't be a taxi driver! read more
