First time at this location and at the theatre since the pandemic. Took my daughter and niece for a Spring Break outing. Choose this location for the reclining seats, food/drink service, and overall good reviews compared to other AMC. Wonderful experience! I had several AMC Stubs rewards to redeem so I purchased everything at the theatre. They're doing tickets and food purchase at the concession stand. Checkout was quick as only a few people was in line. Customer service was excellent the entire time. Gentlemen made sure all the rewards were applied and order was correct before finalizing transaction. Quick with refilling our popcorn during the movie so I could get back to the girls and show. Felt Covid safe as everyone (including employees) was wearing masks. Sanitizing wipes was available by the concession (soda machine) area. Bathroom and theatre was clean. Employees walked around sweeping and tidying up areas. Good to see. Butter and drinks are still self serve which I kinda liked so we could choose our own selections and amount desired. I like to layer my Icee flavors. Lots of butter on the popcorn too. The reclining seats was quite comfortable. Sound quality was good. Truly enjoyed us being the only ones in the theatre although I know it's not good for business. It was like having a private movie experience without the extra cost to have one. Although I want to keep this little gem of a theatre to myself so it doesn't get crowded especially while Covid is still going on; I feel selfish not to let everyone know how nice it is. Definitely highly recommend this location. Definitely will be returning very soon. Hope you have the same experience.

So this is an okay theatre. I usually come midday. It's a small theatre in general. But the service is fairly food and the employees are very friendly. Cons: they need to train their employees to clean the theatre better. I'm a regular here since it's fairly close to my home.

My neighborhood movie theater. The seats are big and comfy, the popcorn is corny, and the staff is friendly. It is a good place for me to spend a Friday afternoon, but when you go there in the evening for a movie the parking lot is dark. I always try to park directly in front of the theater entrance or under a light pole.

Laid back. Shhh. The movie is starting. It hasn't started yet. Lol.

Renovated theater w reclining seats. Screen was a good size. Seems like this would be a good thing. I feel like this should get 2.5 stars. Why? I only ordered tickets online. I even reserved my seats. But there is no way to pick up your tickets without standing in the line again. Please get kiosks. The theatre was a little crowded. Line was queued up and actually running into another line. The concession line. I went to customer service to pick up my tickets and I think I spoke with the manager. I asked him about kiosks. It defeats the whole purpose of the order in advance and go concept. Concession line was very crowded also. Not really organized. Everything is typical movie price overrated pricing of course. I don't drink soda much. No courtesy cups. Whatever. Here is 6.00 plus tax for a bottle of water. But they have a freestyle coke machine which is nice for pop lovers. My popcorn wasn't old but it was a medium sized bag of bits. And I was too lazy to go back out after I got inside to get another one. So I ate it. Sigh. My chair was very comfortable. I just hope that they get kiosks to prevent a long line if possible and organize the lines a bit better. Also give courtesy cups. I promise I only want water from the machine. I'll return. Hopefully with some improvements to the newer features that they have added on. I wanted to give this more stars but my experience was just so so.

This was my second time going to this AMC since the remodeling a few years back. I love the new look. It's nice, clean and Customer friendly. The red leather seat recliner and there is a cup holder for drinks. I love the bar. I didn't get to try it out because we went for a morning movie. Overall, I liked my experience. My husband and I love matinee movies so most of the time when we go there is never a crowd.

So this movie theater is most definitely an upgrade. I used to come to this movie theater all the time when I was in high school. It brought back so many memories. What I LOVED the best about it was picking out the seats online before I got there and not having to stand in a long line. The seats were so comfortable. You have to bring your own blanket. The line for the concession stand was long and slow. It is a good thing I arrived early so I can take care of all that stuff before hand. No matter how upgraded the movie theater is, unfortunately the customer base was kind of ghetto. They were loud in the beginning while the previews were showing and than when they would see someone that they know, they would yell all the way across the room. I was so nervous and praying that nothing would break out and that everyone would be quiet while the movie was on. One suggestion I have for the movie theater is that if your more than 15 minutes late than you should not be able to come in. It was such a distraction to have people look for their seats. Those seats were so comfortable that I thought about taking a nap at least twice. I would love to go back but it would be during non-peak hours.

    This woman's bathroom is disgusting

This theater is disgusting!!!! Fifty on the outside and nasty on the inside. The carpets are covered in popcorn and dirt. The bathrooms are beyond nasty. There was blood in one clogged toilet and toilet paper on the floors(even outside of the bathroom) see photos. I've never seen a theater this dirty. THE MANAGER NEEDS TO BE FIRED!

Everybody that got kicked out of the theater when the power got shut off. Nobody got helped. A JOKE

The Love of My Life and I were curious about this place, as we love movies, so we stopped in for a look. It turns out that Foreign Cinema sells - get this - Japanese anime and "karate" movies and merchandise. And I mean the type that used to be run on Channel 54 on Saturday afternoons during the 1980s: MST3K-type films that people turned the sound down and made up their own dialogue. It was so incredibly cheesy that it was funny. The sales associate actually kind of laughed with us and readily admitted that the shop carried quite a bit of that type of thing; she was a highlight of the visit. (Her bright Manic Panic pink hair, six hundred piercings, and "Southpole" glittery outfit kind of accentuated the strangeness, I have to say.) The boyfriend is actually into Japanese animation and Asian-style films, so he spent a bit more time in here than I might have. Still, they do carry quite a bit of product if you're into this sort of thing. No, it's not pirated or copied DVDs - it looks like pretty authentic stuff (mainly because most of the titles and box covers aren't in English). If this is your "thing", you'll enjoy this place. Just try not to laugh when you see the cheesy movie on the flatscreens -usually, if these movies follow the standard plot, it's the old Asian guy who offered the advice to the young guy in the first place, but it's the young one that gets his butt kicked. And the old guy just sits on the sideline and laughs uproariously. Good times!

The theatre we were in held only 79 people, which is definitely an intimate experience. The food types and pricing was very good. We just got a large popcorn and large drink, but we could have gotten alcohol by the ounce, sandwiches, platters, desserts, and not just the standard fare at a regular movie theatre. In addition, the seats were super comfortable, they were heated, you could lay flat if you wanted to and there was a moveable, large tray table in front and to the side of you. I can't wait to come back. I'm relatively new to the area and this will be my choice move theatre now and in the future. Highly recommend seeing a film here.

Of course I came on a Tuesday because movie tickets are $7 on Tuesdays. Parking is super easy because there is a garage with 8 levels and parking is free up to 4 hrs. I felt like the strawberry icing made them overly sweet. I also felt they were overpriced at $11. The cocktail was very refreshing and delicious and created a nice mellow buzz. The theater lobby, bathroom, and auditorium were very clean. The reclining chairs are very comfortable and I accidentally discovered they were heated seats. My only gripe with the chairs is the trays were adjustable so you food would be closer to you while recliner. Overall, I really enjoyed my time at the movies and will definitely be back.

I went to the 2 pm screening of Captain Marvel and was the only person in the theater. I gotta tell you, it's pretty cool to have any theater where you are the only person, but in an IMAX, it's incredible. The sound was amazing, the image quality was amazing and the seats are comfortable too. The concessions was open, but they didn't have any popcorn so I got a bottle of soda and some dots ice cream. We recently watched "Avengers:Endgame" here and here's what I think: PROS: 1) Ticket price is way cheaper than Imax tickets at AMC, or comparable formats at Cinemark, Landmark, etc. 2) It boasts of having the largest screen, and it really is. Very impressive. 3) It's at Inner Harbor, so there are lots of things to see and do before and after screening. 4) We went on a Sunday, and there was a concession stand with popcorn and drinks and other stuff, not much, but at least. CONS: 1) I wasn't impressed by the sound. They said it was surround, but it wasn't. Plus, you can hear other people's laughter more than the movie audio, very distracting. 2) There is no Wi-Fi at the Maryland Science Center where this is located. Which is surprisingly disappointing for an educational site. 3) There are no reserved seating so if you want to get the best seats, be prepared to line up early. For us, since it was the Avengers opening weekend, we lined up an hour before. The place was full. 4) The seats don't recline, they don't even swing back, they are fixed. 5) Others may find parking a problem if you don't come in early. So, to sum up, would I go again to this place? Yes, I might. It depends on what's showing. For me, the best movie experience is still the Dolby theaters at AMC with the clear visuals and moving audio: the screen is not that big but you get recliner seats and reserved seating. It just costs a lot more.

It has deep warm vibes from the lobby to the theaters, and friendly likable staff. We got there a little early, so, after we chose our seats and bought our tickets, we got some coffee at the wide refreshment stand, and sat a while in comfortable chairs in the lobby, below some sort of balcony, soaking in the quiet calm, looking out the windows at the mural and wall-sculpture across Charles Street. We eventually handed our tix to the attendant and sauntered down one long, clean, postered hallway, and then another offset to the right, all the way back to theater 5. The seats were old and clean, not too-worn, not too-soft, not the modern seats of modern theaters. It's like watching movies in the rec-room of friends you've known all your life,if your friend had a huge screen :-). We had center seats near the mid-front, with a bright screen that filled our vision, and a good sound system with balanced acoustics. Perfect ambiance for the new film we saw, or for one of the retro classics they often feature. There's plenty of paid on-street parking, and well as a lot and a parking building directly across one-way northbound Charles Street. There's several restaurants within easy walking distance, including one opening from the theater lobby, open after 5pm. Come back to Charles Theater for the old-school film experience you didnt know you were missing! Now that we've re-discovered it, we know we'll be regulars again!
