I'll start with a compliment. Nice employees. I thought they were friendly. But Oh my. Cinetopia was a literal dream compared to AMC. And everyone knows Cinetopia struggled maintaining the chairs and upkeep there toward the end. Where do I start. Food took 25 minutes with hardly anyone in the lobby or theater. Not a busy night whatsoever. Tasted so horrible. I'm shocked they are allowed to serve that. It was a southwestern salad. I've attached a picture. Chicken was a previous frozen nugget type thing. Strange rice at the bottom . Absolutely no flavor. More like a TV dinner mixed with a handful of lettuce. And not cheap. One person literally smoking pot in the movie!!!!!!!. No one checking tickets and the guy walked in the building with a full backpack . I saw him walk in as I was waiting for food. He went in to one movie and was there maybe 15 minutes and then proceeded to go to our theater. On the other side of the theater was Another guy - - stripping down and laughing loudly. Moving all about. Looked like he was changing his clothes. Came in and out of theater. Something "off" with that situation as well. The concession area is unkept. Caution tape or whatever strapped across the room blocking off the once beautiful restaurant. I am hoping they realize what a goldmine this place could be and put some quality food and service in this gorgeous theater. Everyone that lives in this area WANTS to support this theater and keep it in business. But come on AMC. I heard from neighbors that AMC is worse than Cinetopia but wanted to give it a chance. One person gave me such an earful, I thought he was exaggerating. Uh ... no There was only a total of maybe 20 people in the theater when we were there. I remember at one point Cinetopia was packed all the time. Used to love the waitstaff in the living room theaters. Even at its worse, Cinetopia was better quality food than the microwaved food of AMC I'm writing so much because I would love to see AMC step up and get this right. It's not too late. Hire an experienced food service director and maybe change it up a bit. Hire a chef! Put some effort and believe me this area... people will come. Definitely check people coming in for tickets and maybe a smoke detector? Or security just checking in theaters here and there. Don't let people just walk in off the streets and head to a theater. That's craziness. Offensive to have my family at a family movie with this going on. Actually at any movie this should not happen. read more

This has easily become THE worst theatre in all of Oregon. No food, so go ahead and remove "dine-in" from your name. Extremely rude staff, please get offended at me that you ran out of drink lids and had to get more. And best of all, the most uncomfortable seats you could ever sit in, in your life. Didn't they used to have recliners? What in the world happened to this place? AMC deserves no place here. Save the trouble and go to Century or Regal. read more

DO NOT GO TO OR VISIT A AMC THEATER YOU'LL REGRET IT. Well so far it's 5 minutes past when my Movie was suppose to start and the credits haven't even started to roll. I don't know how AMC mad enough money to buy cinitopia but if they keep up at this rate they won't be in business very long. Cinitopia was a great movie experience when it was here, yes it had ups and downs but so does every movie theater, but as far as AMC they only have downs one person checking you in for the movie and servicing you at the concession stand long line to just buy a ticket then so far about a 20min wait to start the movie. So as I near the end of my review I would just like to recommend to anyone that reads this a drive in movie theater or even a theater that's a hole in the wall like wonderland movie theater has better customer service and their movies always start on time. read more

STAY AWAY! DONT COME HERE!!! Today's my day off. I wanted to go see the new Aladdin movie now that lines have died down a bit. Excited to see what AMC has done with my beloved cinetopia just to find out that it's gone to straight shit. Aladdin was supposed to start at 11:45. At 11:45 the screen was still black and not a person in sight to fix things. They didn't start the movie until 12:20, that's 25 minutes late! This is bullshit. There was only one person selling tickets and he was also do concessions. I literally walked straight passed, not having bought a ticket yet and went to the bathroom. Came back to the line and no one was bothered. No one questioned anything. I will be sticking to the Bridgeport cinema from now on. Because this place went downhill and the service sucks ass. read more

Hadn't been to the theaters in awhile, and was very disappointed to find out they no longer do the food to your seats or take your orders in the theaters!?! That's why I loved coming here I didn't mind paying a little more for my ticket and a bit more on the food cause it made it a great experience! Grab a burger and fries and a beer delivered to your seat!? Come on! And this might be a me problem! But when buying tickets online I can never figure out which theater is the cool ones with the nice seats that recline and lay back! Popcorn was good, staff was nice, but ultimately really miss the food aspect, made it feel like a premium theater instead of just any old theater. read more

Unfortunately AMC destroyed a truly differentiated experience offered by Cinetopia. That experience was worth paying more for, and we did...gladly...several times per month for years. The living room theater provides the same comforts; however gone is the ability to order from your seat or from a restaurant quality menu. Instead we experienced a long line in concessions, preventable had there been more than two people taking orders on a busy Saturday evening, to order from a downgraded menu at same or higher prices compared to what Cinetopia offered. The concessions area was also filthy with trash and popcorn all over the ground and counters. The whole experience was extremely disappointing. Sadly my "dinner and a movie" place is no more...hopefully the right person at AMC will read these 1-star reviews and take positive action. read more

I hardly ever write reviews but this theater was just that bad. We walked in without anyone taking our ticket. The "dine-in" experience isn't really what you'd expect considering you have to wait in the giant line and order what you'd like in front then they bring it to you. The seats do not recline. They're actually just a bunch of random chairs placed in the room, some with a foot stool. They're all uncomfortable. The movie was supposed to start at 7:15. We got there at 7, you could hear the audio for the previews but the lights we on and the screen was black the entire time. We decided to get our tickets refunded and leave at 7:20. The screen was still black. I hope they fix up the theater because it is so close to our house. But for now it's dirty and uncomfortable and definitely not worth $30 for two tickets. read more

This should probably be a 1 star review but I will go ahead and bump it up to 2 stars since I was able to watch a movie from start to finish:) Spent lots of time going to Cinetopia since they opened and really enjoyed the locally owned and operated feel and overall great service. The food only got better over time, there was some stuff on that menu that was really good. One in particular was the very authentic cheesesteak. Now that AMC bought them out they literally cleaned house of most the old staff since they did not want to pay the server what they used to get paid. I should say that it feels very under staffed now and lost its very personal feel. Every surface is sticky and dirty and in need of updates. NOW...on to the food. Well it just straight up sucks! I wouldn't care that much paying their ridiculous prices if the food actually tasted good. The must be relying on the fact that people are eating in the dark and are most likely not going to walk back out of their movie to complain. This is really difficult because I really prefer being able to enjoy a movie with some good food and drinks. This is a market that someone needs to take advantage of in this area. AMC is going to continue to get business simply because they don't have any competition in this niche market. I will also mention that most of the google reviews online are from the location used to be Cinetopia. Google really should not allow this. This is not giving people an accurate representation of the business. read more

The absolute worst movie experience ever. The inside looked like it had been raided during an apocalypse and then they decided to open a theater. (But hey the few pieces of artwork that lined the hallway for sale that haven't been ripped off the drywall might be up for grabs). Highly inexperienced SLOW staff. Signs still say Cinetopia on the outside and everything that had anything to do with Cinetopia on the inside is covered in black drapes with spiderwebs all over them. Bathrooms are disgusting. They smells worse than an outhouse while camping. Seats are floors in theaters are sticky. Now onto the "dine in" which consists of ordering food (at concession stand) that tastes worse than a gas station experience. The "Chicken Nachos" had a tablespoon each of corn, black beans with literally a spec of sour cream and guacamole- all on the very top excessive pile of chips with a dash of fake Tostitos nacho cheese. The chicken was so dry I had to dip in in my beer to make it edible. After eating the 3 chips at the top actually covered in toppings I was left with a whole pile of plain dried up chips at the bottom. Yikes!!! Cinetopia was showing its age but at least they had their act together and were trying to hold on with a thread of hope. I truly hope AMC steps this place up and the executives come in and try to see a movie here themself. Things might quickly change if they do. read more

I love this theater. Everything is convenient and updated. There's tons of food/snack/drink options. The theaters are spacious and clean. This is my go to location for sure. read more

What a let down! I loved cinetopia, but was excited for a big movie chain to come in and enhance the experience, sadly it's quite the opposite. I asked how the dine in works and advised you order at the concession stand "this isn't cinetopia" was the first clue this wouldn't be awesome. Even so waited in line to order... they charge a delivery fee for me to stand in line and order? The line was super long since one person was working the register... The food was sub par. Lights in the theater weren't working, screens off. This used to be a movie place you felt excited to go to. Now it's a shell of its past. I won't return. read more

I recognize that AMC has a lot of work to do to bring this location up to a good standard, but a lot of that has to do with the state the theater was in when they purchased it and the fact that they re-opened so soon after the turnaround. So i'm looking strictly at certain features that I appreciate about them: 1. Their (paid) rewards program is fantastic. $5 Tuesdays and no online booking fees, plus a $5 reward for every $50 you spend. Cha-ching. Love it. 2. Their food- much better than Cinetopia's in my opinion. Their flatbread pizza is quite good, and their chicken strips (though expensive) are some of the best chicken strips I've ever had. And you get 5 giant pieces plus fries plus two cheesy biscuits. And the $1 delivery fee is a much better deal than an automatic 15% "gratuity" that Cinetopia charged. It's also much more organized to have people order their food at the counter instead of having servers wandering around the auditorium, taking orders willy-nilly, taking your credit card out to the hallway, bringing it back several minutes later, etc... Things I miss about Cinetopia: 21+ only auditoriums. I do miss that. read more

Since AMC took over the Cinetopia/Vinotopia location, I have to say I'm not impressed with the dining/bar side of the theater. They serve the food in takeout containers (even if you're sitting at the bar), and the menu is overpriced & the food is not that good. read more

This sucks! Cinetopia created a relaxing environment with a great wine and beer selection and above average food. Slightly overpriced but expected in the movie theater biz. AMC has completely turned this place into a joke. BAR : beer selection sucks.... it just does, trust me. It's like they are only buying crap on sale. FOOD : GROSS! The popcorn was the same though. I'm thinking frozen everything and no chef. The nachos were drizzled (7-11 pump) "cheese" and little else. I believe they were $15.00. LOL Lastly - do not sit in row E in theater #1. Highly uncomfortable and the leather is very very worn. It will scratch you up if your in shorts. Tickets: $5.95 convenience fee...WTF If you have to go here at least buy the Costco Yellow tickets and save your hard earned cash. We will NEVER be back. read more

Other than the movie screen the service was horrible! You spend $16 for burger and fries and you barely get any fries! And then they tell you wait to talk to a manager to get more fries? Meanwhile I miss 15 min of the movie, and the manager never showed up! Horrible service read more

AMC Progress Ridge 13 - Where's the fries??? Worth $16?? - Cinema Near Me - Beaverton, Oregon

Cinetopia was starting to show it's age, AMC shoved it into the grave. There is little to no cleaning effort. Leaving a mid evening movie last week the theater (7) entrance looked like an overflowing dumpster. The floors were sticky, trash in the cup holders, pretty bad. Thinking it was a bad staff night, we tried again last night with theater 9. Found ketchup in the cup holder but at least the trash wasn't piled as high. I had hoped this change would bring an opportunity for updates or remodeled seats (see local Regal theaters) but instead... they ripped out the automated ticket kiosk and apparently locked up the janitor closet. If the theater is that disgusting, I sure wouldn't trust the kitchen. read more

Not a great experience. I went to see a movie by myself and the sound was working on one side of the theater and the image wasn't projected level. The most frustrating experience was walking in (nobody at the box office) standing in line and getting my ticket printed, then I asked to buy a popcorn and the employee told me to get back at the end of the line because the register was only for printing out tickets and not ringing up concessions. After standing in line again for a while people started to get their tickets printed and then they started to sell them concessions too. When I made it up to the register again she said "what size?" I said the small bucket and she said that's not one of the sizes and I asked her what size was there and she never pointed out the bags on top of the popcorn machine that were on display I just didn't notice them. By the way a regular popcorn will set you back $8.25 and it was poor service. My ticket was $15 for a living room experience, which I didn't know I was getting and I will never try to get that again because they promise a restaurant dine in experience and I didn't see any employee near the theater. The theater was not kept up well and I included a picture of my seat. The bathroom was out of paper towels too. When the theater was a Cinetopia I had a better experience. read more

Website promoted "Dine In", "Food to your Seat" and showed a photo of a full kitchen, so I purchased 8 tickets for In the Heights, and told all attending we can get dinner at the Cinema. Cinetopia had been on the decline for the past year and a half or so. I knew something was going to happen either a buyout or complete shut down. I never expected it to happen this so. I for one am excited and very hopeful that AMC can revitalize this place. I very much enjoy going to the theater. Since MoviePass and Sinemia have both become obsolete or unusable, I couldn't wait to try A-List from AMC. And so far my girlfriend and I are loving it. The food menu is a bit smaller than what Cinetopia had but that may change when the restaurant re-opens. The burger I got was surprisingly good as well as the mac and chesse the girlfriend got. I look forward to enjoying a beer or two again while we watch. One thing I hope AMC changes are the parlor style theaters. I was never fond of these with the awkward booth seats and the individual high back reading chairs. Give us the nice recliner style with a foot rest in these theaters. And maybe the same for the smaller auditorium theaters as well. The GXL's can stay as they are. The living room theaters could use an update as well but I think the parlors have got to go. All in all, I think this should be a good change for the old kinda rundown Cinetopia. I hope AMC takes this into consideration. read more

Updated review: they have apparently changed their popcorn kernels and/or oil, and it's much better now. Still leaving my review at 2 stars, because the place needs an overhaul; some seats are abysmal, trays are on the ground that can easily be tripped over, they have not addressed the concessions' staff inability to scan your code for your membership on your phone, and my GOD those concessions are expensive. It cost my fiance and I about $36 for a medium popcorn, soda, and an order of mac and cheese. The trays that go in the cup holders genuinely feel like they're find to come loose and everything on them would fall to the ground. read more

Absolute utter trash. Cinetopia was great! The food was good, the service was always awesome, and the place was kept clean. One time they even had someone play live music before the previews started! Then these greedy idiots at AMC set their sights on it like a frat guy waiting for a drunk girl to pass out at a party. Not ONLY do they employ scummy-as-hell business practices to drive a local place into bankruptcy, but they buy its corpse, slap a new logo on it and try to pass it off as their own! Well guess what, I'd rather go to a funeral than come back to this place. I felt like I was in a condemned opium den that also sold popcorn. The food was MICROWAVED Mac n cheese with microwaved chicken tenders that had been thrown in a toaster oven for 25 seconds on top. Served in a cheap paper plate with plastic cutlery. If I wanted food of this quality I'd wait in line at the homeless shelter. The place is falling apart - chipped paint, stained carpet, trim is pulling away from the wall. The bathroom smelled like piss and I kept trying to look the staff in the eyes to check for signs that they were being held against their will. I hope AMC goes bankrupt and its executives end up cleaning toilets at a local theater. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE, WATCH A MOVIE ON YOUR PHONE AT THE MENCHIES NEXT DOOR INSTEAD. read more

If you've ever had a AMC Dine In experience anywhere else....abort mission. I will take partial blame here as I didn't read a lot of reviews before going here and man am I sorry I didn't: -This should be a $2 movie theatre....old, old, old. Everything about this place is old - including the air/smell....the term 'dank' comes to mind - sorry. In the hall ways there are old granny style solo captain cushion chairs, not only is that awkward it's legit scary and not practical. @management, please trash those things, something as basic as a wooden or metal bench would be better - there's no telling what particles are trapped in that old fabric and cushions. The bathroom needs to be blown up, gutted and they need to try again. There is literally no space between the edge of the toilet and the stall door. So one would need to slide in next to the toilet seat and the 'wall' (not a lot of space there either) in order to close to door, ugh and yuck. Dine-in: They have a few food options that are ok, no true complaints here as I had the nachos, but please do NOT think this is a Arclight or IPIC, or upscale experience. Oh what's that...? You think theres a place for you to eat your food....like a pull out or flip try? NOPE!! Enjoy crouching over and eating your meal out of your lap. Sigh. Last, but not least.... the MOST important part....the actual theatre experience. In their defense - the movie did play without incident and there were no sound issues......but oh whats that......you reserved a seat, so you think its a nice leather seats that recline? NOPE think again. These are regular individual (not bench) seats that rock a little (I never understood that). Just like the restroom there is absolutely no space between your seat and the row in front of you...so if someone needs to use the restroom or you make the mistake of ordering food and not sitting on the end of aisle, EVERYONE will need to stand up to let you out or you can have your food passed through various strangers until it gets to you. The employees were nice and bottom line the theatre served its purpose, but I won't be back. read more

It would be great if Yelp would have a big fat ZERO!!!!! We use to go there when it was Cinetopia. You know, back in the day it was a great concept, and then those who followed like Regal, Century to name a couple took it to another level. Wider seats, recliner instead of those bulky ottomans. I almost fell twice because I did not see them when walking to my seat. We only chose this dump since there were multiple tickets left for a movie where at the better theaters were sold out. There is a reason why we were able to get tickets . Honesty, your viewing experience will thank you if you drove a few miles to either Century16 Cedar Hills, or Regal on Evergreen. Evergreen is the best so far with rumbling seats , very very comfortable wide recliners. You wont feel like the person next to you is sitting on your lap (unless a date). Thats how a felt at AMC AMC is definitely in the RACE TO ZERO!!!! read more

The customer service was absolutely terrible. The cashier had no idea what he was doing. We ordered the bite sampler but they were out of wings so we asked if we could substitute or at least get a discount due to a portion being missing and the manager said no we will not substitute or discount very rudely. The guy also didn't even tell us our total bill until after we paid and didn't give a response or receipt. At the end of the movie we were waiting for end credit scene and were rushed out by staff... I was an amc stubs member until this experience. The management and staff need to get their act together because they treat their customers like trash and act like everyone is an inconvenience to them. read more

I had high hopes for the AMC take over of the Cinetopia at Progress Ridge. They were closed for a bit this summer during a period during the changeover and understood they had done some renovations. Apparently not. The building is in need of some major overhauls in pretty much every theater. They stop the food delivery service in the theaters as well as drinks service, ticket prices have gone up, and food quality has gone down. The poor teenagers in the theater don't even know what's hit had them when people come in with complaints or issues. I sure hope AMC is able to get things back on track. It's sad to see it was such a nice theater initially going downhill even quicker. read more

Does not even deserve a 1 star. Sagging seats, disgusting food, small screen. This is our first time here post COVID....and last!

Came here as was suggested by my Niece . Very nice location but the staff wasn't just organized. I ordered a sample platter which they didn't offer to bring which I don't mind I have two legs.. they gave me a buzzer an hour later buzzer never went off so I walk to the front and the manager check in the kitchen only to walk out with my cold food he offer to re heat it or make it again (if you were in my shoes what would you do?) I waited an hour already and he didn't even offer another snack all he said keep the buzzer I'll buzz you when is done... 3 hours later into the Batman movie and still no food :( by this time I didn't care anymore all I wanted was to have a great experience with my son that I haven't seen in years . Omgosh! Tried to buy tickets through their app using a gift card. Took my money but then was told the order couldn't be processed. Tried calling the theatre. Was routed and reputed through an automated system. Finally called their 888# only to be told nothing could be done as there was a "problem with the app". Drove to the theatre where we stood in line with 15 other people for over 1/2 hour. Theatre had one person taking tickets. Finally got to our theatre to find others sitting in our seats but because we had to wait so long to get our tickets, we didn't have time to go locate an usher to straighten out the seating situation. If I could give this place zero stars I'd happily give it that. The place is completely run down and apparently it's recently been acquired by AMC? It is extremely dreary, the seats are trash and how do you not have the name of the movie playing in that theatre on the screen? Probably no point in buying tickets online since no one cared to check us in... In the Boston area I have a great AMC Dine In - when I purchased tickets for dine in at this location I was expecting comfortable reclining chairs and menus and buttons to call a waiter. This had NONE of that. Although this isn't a theatre issue we had AWFUL people in the theatre. Constantly talking and zero respect for the other people in the theatre. This was just the cherry on top of everything else. I really hate to give a bad review, but the fact that I left at almost the beginning of my movie says a lot. read more

My wife and I had "date night" here for years. We were not aware that Cinetopia sold out to AMC. You can no longer order food or drinks in the theater, the prices are substantially higher and the good quality is terrible. The new management has done away with service in the theaters. You must order you food from the restaurant and navigate your was through the restaurant and to your theater seat with your food. We ordered mozzarella sticks which came out as deep fried squares with a hint of cheese and a tiny side marinara (we had to ask for more). Our nachos were velveeta over stale chips 7-11 does a better job at at a 1/4 of the price. Very disappointed to see the change in ownership/management. We won't be returning. read more
