Wicked for Good was amazing! AMC Montgomery has big screens and Dolby surround sound. That was so important with the music and the sound effects in this movie. I love how you can reserve your seats online. We chose the theater with the comfortable reclining chairs. I was hoping that we didn't have to suffer through the 30 minutes of advertising and coming attractions, but that is still part of the process. They changed the way you order drinks and popcorn. You have to order at a kiosk and then take your receipt over to the counter. We ordered a large popcorn, 3 drinks, and some candy. The price was high, about $50 for the concession stand. But, they did have cool Wicked drinks and I got the Galinda drink combination and it was delicious. We really enjoyed the movie, although there were a few tears shed. If you are a Wicked fan, then, I would recommend seeing the movie at AMC Montgomery 16. It worked out splendioshly (as we say in Oz).

We caught the matinee which was about 20% off. Leather seats which are heated! Reclining chairs that are comfortable. All in all a good theater. Very clean and no sticky floors! Which I really appreciate

100% 5 stars! I came here to watch five nights at freddy's 1 when it first came out and it seems like ever since then, this theater has made many improvements, I watched backrooms here about 5 days ago and it was a good decision coming here. The seats were really comfortable and the theaters were really clean. The drink machine looked sick and the popcorn was amazing, service here was brilliant, they helped me with some issues I had with my tickets, shout out Dennis for helping me out, definitely recommend this theater.

This was my first time at a newer AMC theater and I was pleasantly surprised by the comfortable setting they created for their viewers. The seats are far enough apart for a degree of privacy in your own viewership, they recline a lot, and having cooling and heating functionality built in. The sound quality was great and I was fortunate enough to have the theater mostly to myself for the showing of 100 Nights of Hero. There were some technical issues at the start, our showing was scheduled for 1:30 and previews didn't start until much closer to 2 but the staff was able to resolve things without us missing any of the film itself.

I've been to this theater several times over the years and it looks like they've renovated the entire place fairly recently. Smell of new paint was in the air, makeshift theater number signs were posted on walls, and brand new huge leather recliners with heatable seats for customer comfort! The theater we were in (no. 8) had only about 8 rows but was still spacious, super clean, and comfortable.

Bob Marley Night at Movie --AMC Edition There's another brand of theater, I sometimes prefer but all the tickets were sold out for the Bob Marley movie opening night. AMC came through with available tickets and a better price ticket. Plus, did you know for Black History they have certain movies for just $5, until March 2? AMC will let you pre-purchase your tickets and preorder your snacks before your arrival. Everything is so convenient. Plus, they have the magical Icee Machines, for that delicious coolness. If you are going for a night at the movie theater with family, this is a really good venue, should you have to purchase multiple tickets. **Spoilers: Read No Further, I'll now review the Bob Marley Movie (Feb 2024). *** If you see the Bob Marley Movie, ask for the free movie poster. The night we went, it felt like they were hoarding the posters, as they are limited edition. The movie gives glimpses of Bob's childhood, as a beautiful little boy being raised by his mom and abandoned by his Caucasian father. We see how Bob was raised in humble conditions but eventually moved and impacted the entire world. He was to become the Biggest Star from Jamaica. We also see scenes from when a young teenage Bob, finding his way and sound in the early days. The movie primarily focuses on the last 5ish years of Mr. Marley's life. His creative process, his passions, religion, his family and his inspiration. It also speaks to his raising fame, the turmoil within his country, community, band and family. It was an excellent movie, that hitting you in the heart, when dealing with the trials and tribulations of Bob's life. I highly recommend this movie.

Enjoyed my solo movie date to see the sequel to one of my favorite movies, The Devil Wears Prada 2!…read more I specifically chose this AMC because it's tucked away in the cut, not super visible from the main road, and honestly that's part of the appeal. It's always clean, calm, and drama-free every time I come here. Plus, there's plenty of parking, which already makes the experience less stressful before you even walk inside. The seats are HUGE and super comfortable, perfect for a relaxing movie night. Service is efficient, bathrooms are easy to access, and overall the theater experience is consistently solid. I genuinely have no complaints about this location. It has also been one of my go-to quick movie date night spots with my man too Definitely one of my preferred theaters in the area.

"It's goes way back to something roughly translated as 'The Wild Hunt.'" Nick points out, "We can't find [the killers]. We got no prints, no I.D., no record of where they came from..." "That's what I'm trying to tell you," Monroe interjects. "You don't have to find them. According to legend, the first thing you hear is terrible thunder and howling wind, as if the [ferocious wildesheer, also known as caccia morta] are being blown right out of hell." "Not so encouraging..." "They're hunters," Monroe continues, "and their life's blood is built upon killing powerful warriors; and it just so happens that the Grimm is, like, the post powerful warrior of all." "You think they know about me?" "I think it's no coincidence they're in Portland...listen, the most important thing is they will be coming after you...so what we can do is pick where [the fight] happens...and I highly suggest that's not my house." Although, lucky for us Marylanders, picking a theater for where to watch movies is not close to being a life-and-death matter, as choosing where to fight the caccia morta is for Nick and Monroe, it is still ideal to find a space that offers supremely comfortable reclining chairs with cupholders, that isn't attached to a mall or exists in the heart of a downtown metropolis, and that is less likely to have every screening jam-packed seat-to-seat with screaming kids, teenagers on their cell phones, and influencers more concerned with exuberantly filming themselves than silently watching and enjoying each film. For all of those reasons and more, my friends and I choose the AMC Center Park 8 Theatre on 4001 Powder Mill Rd in Beltsville.

Dear reader, AMC…read moreCourthouse Plaza 8 is one of my favourite neighborhood theatres. Located in Arlington's Courthouse area, it is literally just a hop, skip, and a jump from the Courthouse Metro station, making it incredibly convenient whether you're coming from DC, Alexandria, or elsewhere in Northern Virginia. Although it's a smaller AMC, it still offers a solid variety of movies and showtimes, so it never feels limiting. The staff are consistently friendly and quick, whether you're picking up mobile concessions or scanning your ticket to head inside. The theatres are always clean, everything is in good working order, and the biggest upgrade is the reclining seats. Every auditorium has the comfortable recliners, which make even the longest movies much more enjoyable. The lobby also has a few claw machines, which are a fun little distraction if you arrive early. Overall, this theatre combines convenience, comfort, and reliable service into exactly the kind of moviegoing experience I keep coming back for.

Once you get settled in, it's pretty easy to forget about everything else! I also loved the older movie posters scattered throughout the theater. They add a nostalgic touch that feels like a little trip down movie-theater memory lane. And speaking of nostalgia...the carpet definitely looks like it could have been installed sometime in the late '80s or early '90s. The theater could use a slight refresh, but I kind of appreciate that it still has some of that old-school character. The theater is spread across three levels--three screens on the bottom floor, two on the main floor, and three upstairs. The auditorium we were in was one of the smaller ones, so there really wasn't a bad seat in the house. Staff was friendly and service was quick. One thing that really stood out was seeing a staff member cleaning the theater after the show. He made a point of thanking customers for coming, which was a nice personal touch. Concessions are pretty much what you'd expect at a movie theater. We grabbed chicken tenders, popcorn, and a drink, and of course, the Coke Freestyle machines are always a nice bonus. Overall, 4 stars. It may be an older theater that could use a refresh, but the comfortable recliners, friendly staff, smaller auditoriums, and nostalgic atmosphere make AMC Courthouse 8 a solid place to catch a movie.
