Everytime we come here, the theatre is super clean. Thats my #1 thing. The chairs are in great shape and they recline. But they are good recliners... they go pretty far back, which makes me happy. Alot of theaters don't recline that far, so yeah. Its the little things that make me happy. The drink station... free refills on drinks, say whaaaa? don't have to go to the counter, no way! This is the life right? Well it is for me, so there. Oh yeah and we aren't the popcorn type, we are the nacho type. I like that we can get 2 options to dip, cheese or salsa or double up on either. Nice big theater so there is always a good amount of movies to choose from. I see alot of movies, typically 4 or 5 in a month at the least. read more

AMC Castleton Square 14 - Nachos... can choose 2... either 1 cheese 1 salsa, or 2 of either... I love this!!! Now sharing with the husband is great! - Cinema Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

The people in the concession stands were very lazy and inconsiderate. I placed my order and instead of giving me what I ordered they gave me a small popcorn bucket and they gave me 1 flavor of popcorn when I was supposed to get 2. I complained about the size of my bucket because that wasn't what I paid for and I only had 1 flavor as well, they replaced my bucket but they still gave me 1 flavor when it was a Duo bucket I ordered. I then complained again and the lady poured some of the popcorn off and added a different flavor but she didn't mix it. I paid for the Dolby experience and it felt like the seats were on a low setting. They didn't vibrate very much thi read more

I like this theater better than other AMC's in the area. Great Dolby theater and IMAX theater. Love the refillable drink. Love putting my own butter and salt on. The Stubs card for rewards is a great deal especially if you have a group. Tuesday is cheap movie night. Buy your tickets online and scan in without waiting in line. Make sure your buying them for the correct theater though. If you have a problem don't be afraid to ask for help at the desk. The staff will work together to solve your problems. read more

This movie theater has comfy seats. Yet is always feels dirty. The worst part isn't really the theater but some of the people who attend this theater. I have had terrible experiences with other people talking on their phones and yelling at the screen during the movie. After telling the staff one time, they did nothing to remedy the situation. read more

Used to have great things to say about this theater, esp. their Dolby theater and recliners. The theater is great until you have an issue. You may or may not get customer service that makes you feel like they value your business. Recently, however, bought tickets for Matrix (re-released in theaters in Dolby Atmos) about a month in advance. Drove the 40 or so mins it takes to get to the theater for a 9:15p showing and the doors were locked and theater was basically shut down. Finally was able to speak to a manager and was told that the showing was canceled awhile ago (no clue how long) and that I should have been refunded and notified via email. I figured I must've missed both of those things and accepted it. What could a manager do at that time of night? I was still upset, tho. When I got home 40 mins later, I checked and to my surprise, no refund and no notification had been sent. I had to re-book the movie for the next day and one of our party couldn't make it due to schedule. I called and within the next few days, I received a refund but barely an apology was made by anyone and nothing was offered to rectify the situation or make amends for my gas and an hour and a half of my time and the rest of my party. On top of that, their pop was abysmal, popcorn was okay. Dolby Atmos is nice but won't be coming back just for that. tl;dr: good dolby, nice recliners, relatively clean theater, decent popcorn, bad customer service, poor retention, bad pop read more

Let me start with the fact that this theatre is located in the heart of a very, very busy mall area. Parking can be difficult if your are attending an early to evening show. So getting past all of that the Theater itself is very nice. Comfortable leather reclining chairs and not a bad seat in the house. One plus is that they also offer reserved seating online for most shows. Especially during new releases. High five on that! The downside to that is that not everyone understands that some shows have reserved seating. When you get to your seat you might find someone sitting in it. For the first 15 minutes of the movie start the attendant spent time rearranging everyone which was a bit distracting. Why so confusing you ask? It isn't really confusing at all, the theaters seat locations are appropriately labeled. People just simply are not use to reserved seating at theaters. read more

The upgrades to this theater were sorely needed and man did they make a difference. Just a year or so ago, I would not have put up with the hassle of seeing a movie here. Now, things have totally changed. A few of the 14 screens have been specialized to enhance the movie experience. I saw a movie in the Dolby Cinema theater where the sound and picture is enhanced. It was pretty cool! The sound travels around the theater and the colors were much more vibrant. I believe they also have IMAX and 3D capabilities for a couple screens. Honestly the most value for me comes in the new reclining leather seats and the ability to reserve said seats in advance. The seats are roomier and there is more space overall between seats and rows. It's really nice to not be so cramped. And the leather seats are a lot nicer (see: cleaner and more hygienic) than the old style. I love being able to pick my seat in advance and not have to worry if there will be enough room for my group or if we need to get there two hours early. You are going to pay a higher price here to see movies than almost anywhere else in town, but that's because they have invested in improvements that have really made a difference. My latest experience here really has me considering the AMC Stubs A-list membership. The concessions have also been upgraded and you get more options than just candy and popcorn. It's not restaurant quality food, but there are options if you want something more than a snack. They have the Coke freestyle machines so you can get your own drink and butter stations so you can season your own popcorn. The prices are a bit high, but that's to be expected. There is also a bar in the lobby area. We came on a Friday night at 6pm and it wasn't staffed--pretty disappointing to see. When we left our movie at 9, we saw a lot more people at the bar and security. I'm glad to see that it is staffed appropriately, but I don't understand why we couldn't get drinks at 6. The bathrooms have been upgraded, too, though they aren't quite as nice as everything else. The stall doors are still pretty old and have those small gaps in between that make you cringe. My automatic toilet also didn't flush automatically--not ideal. They do have the Dyson hand dryers which are super efficient and eco friendly. read more

Will never go here again. My husband and I went to see a movie, arriving at 7:10 for a 7:30 showing. There is never more than one employee selling tickets, despite the six additional ticket lines. I tried using the ticket kiosk; went through the whole transaction to find it was out of paper. Of course, there was no "out of order" sign on it. Got in the line behind about ten people. It's always very slow because people already in the theater lobby also go to this employee for assistance. Finally got our tickets (it was after 7:30) and encountered a large number of people waiting in line for the ticket taker to let them in. I was so furious I went around the line to get to our already-in-progress movie. This is the second time I've missed the beginning of a movie because management is too cheap to hire enough workers to sell tickets. I will go to farther away theaters to avoid this one. read more

I feel just a little rude giving this place 3 stars, however, when I reminisce about my experience at the bar before going to the movie, I am reminded just how gracious 3 stars really is. My girlfriend and I, after a complication of which theater in Indy we were at, found ourselves a full 45 minutes early for The Gentleman (5 out of 5 stars by the way.) I suggested we have a drink at the bar before the movie. She agreed. The bartender at first appeared sweet. She asked my girlfriend and I how we met. We gladly shared. Things quickly took a turn for the worse. She ordered a Malibu and pineapple and received her drink. I ordered a White Russian...because The Dude abides. The lady had to look up how to make it. That's just never very comforting to see. However, the worst part was, she talked the entire time. I like to talk. I'm actually a very talkative guy. However, I also know how to take social cues. I wish I could remember some of what she spoke about, however, what I remember most is not giving a shit about everything she said. Like a car with failing brakes, it just didn't stop. The one thing I remember is her saying she had been a bartender for over 20 years, but that the company was adamant she do things their way. This was easily the largest chunk of shit she spewed the entire time which is a hefty claim. Our only salvation in the nonstop monologue coupled with two extremely over-priced drinks was other patrons to steer her away from us. Thank God. Once we actually got to our seats and couldn't hear the bartender anymore, our evening improved exponentially. The seats were very comfortable. The movie was great. Please people, avoid the bar area and everything will be great. read more

The experience was awesome and I was excited getting back to one of my favorite pass times!!! The theater was clean with spaced seating. The menu was limited but I did not mind since I really only wanted popcorn. Very enjoyable! read more

It's been about 3 yrs or more since I last visited this place and it has changed so much for the better. The service was fast even though the line outside looked crazy. The price wasn't too bad for the quality of the place itself. Reclining chairs are easy to control since they are just found in the top of the arm rest unlike other Cinema's where it's hidden to the side. There's also enough space for a person to pass even if you recline it all the way. The place was clean and people really followed their assigned seats. The visual and audio quality was great too! Had no issues at all. Will be coming back here again read more

This theater used to be nothing special, and even unpleasant to attend because of the local crime. The updates that have been made are EXCELLENT. All theaters have recliner seating. The food/beverage selection is excellent. I'm only giving 4 stars because the bathroom toilets are always dirty and unflushed. The business redeems itself with its comfortable seating and feature of allowing patrons to reserve the exact seats that they want. No more waiting in long lines or having to get there super early for the seats you want! I have a theater 5 minutes from my house, but I make the 25-minute drive to UA for the overall better experience. Just clean up the bathrooms or fix your toilets so you can earn 5-stars! read more

This movie theater use to be one of the best, but now it has taken a downfall. The seats are comfortable and the theater overall is very nice and updated, but the people there are less than customer service oriented. My roommate and I decided to see a movie 4/18/17 at an 8:00pm show, and the young lady who purchased our tickets was nice. The remainder of the staff was very rude and seemed as if they did not want to be at work. Whomever the MOD was at the shift had an attitude when I asked her about the at&t tuesday special. When I went to the concession stand to make a purchase the lady didn't even walk up to the register. She stayed in the back and yelled, "ya'll ready to order?" Overall this movie theater is missing the class and friendliness it once use to have. I will begin going to Flix. read more

This is the first time I've ever been to this particular AMC but it was a great place to see The Disaster Artist. They have the new reclining seats here which are very comfortable. Some of the popcorn was slightly burnt but that happens occasionally. The theater was very clean and it was nice to be able to walk straight over to the mall after seeing a morning matinee. read more

KALIE!! She is the best! She gives the best customer service there is! OMG, like the best-I just can't praise her enough!!! Seriously, I was having such a bad day talking to people through AMC theatres ,and she was the only one who found a solution. THE ONLY ONE!! Honestly,I cried a little from the help that she has given me! That is how frustrated I was in trying to accomplished I felt an easy task, but everyone (besides Kalie) was just making it into a hard thing! Thank you soo, soo much, Kalie!! read more

We went to the movies with the kids. The movie was awesome however The seeds that I sat in had gum on the side. I did not notice it at first however quickly realize there was a wad of gum on my pants. I waited till the end to talk to the manager on duty. Unfortunately, there was nothing he could do about my pants, however he did make things right. He gave me a complete credit and also gave me vouchers for snacks when we come back. Sadly, I will be throwing my pants away but thankfully the manager made things right. They even gladly gave me a plastic bag for my car so the guy will not get on the seat. read more

So this is my go to theater, and while they are inconsistent, the hits outweigh the misses. I'm a Stubs Premiere member and I like the perks that come with the program. Yesterday's visit was the first time that the employees actually acknowledged me being a Premiere member. I went to the separate Premiere line for ticketing, and after the staff member finished up the guests she was waiting on, she acknowledged me in the Premiere line, and asked if I was Premiere. I told her yes, so she took me next. Same thing happened at the concession stand with a different employee. Great. On previous visits, I was basically ignored while standing in the Premiere line in ticketing and concessions. Seems this location is out of something at the concessions on a regular. Last week, they were out of pretzel bites, this week they had them, but out of the dipping sauce. Last week, while there were 3 employees behind the counter of the concession, there was only 1 person actually getting orders and ringing up, so the line was moving very slowly. There was only one employee at the ticket booth as well. Yesterday's visit I saw more staff and faster lines. No cleaning issues since my last review. This facility's IMAX theater has been fully upgraded with reclining seats unlike the Trader's Point and Southern Plaza locations. read more

Very comfortable and spacious place to see a movie. They also have a small bar where you can order drinks to take into the theater with you, but they are drastically overpriced for what you get. The seats recline and there is plenty of space to the sides and front of you which makes the viewing experience even better. On this night we went to see A Star is Born and I highly recommend this movie to anyone looking to see a good flick this weekend. read more

This is a nicely furnished, modernized movie theater but the staff here are so antagonistic, almost bordering on hostile to the patrons that I wouldn't ever want to return. This is a shame since I usually have a great experience when I go to an AMC theater. read more

This place is just not great. I went last night and it was pretty unclean. The bar was closed for some reason (but no sign or anything indicating as such). The young ladies at the counter looked miserable to be there, and while I was waiting for my order, I noticed that virtually every other order before me was wrong. I missed the first part of my film while my wrong order was getting remade. The AMC on the south side is much preferred. read more

I like the reclining seats and spacious rows for the movie. While I didn't expect much on returning here, I found the drink machines didn't work and I was threatened by another movie goer because I asked him to get off his phone. I'll probably go out of my way to not return here. read more

So this theater has always been one of my absolute in the city. However, the last two times I have come to the theater I have been truly disappointed. The first incident was when I came to the concession to get what I always get, a popcorn and bottled water. I gave the young lady a $20 dollar bill. She looked at the $20 bill, cleared the register, never typed in the register what I gave her, and say the $20 on the counter next to the register. The young man next to her working stepped over and asked her what was wrong and she looked like a deer in headlights. This young lady was not going to do nothing other then stand there and look like a deer in headlights. So I had to tell this young lady that she needed to call a manger because I had a handicap young lady in the theater I needed to get back to, that I was not going to just stand there and this needed to be resolved ASAP. The next incident happened at the concession as well. I went to get once again what I always get, a popcorn and bottled water. I gave the young lady a $50 doll par bill and the young lady once again cleared out the register but never typed in the amount that I gave her. This young then stood that and froze up. I stood there for a few minutes trying to let this young lady get herself together. But this young lady then picked up her cell phone and went to her phone to figure out what to give me back. When she did that she still came up with the wrong amount. I stopped her as she was giving me my change and stated to her what change she needed to give me back. I stated this more then three times and the young lady could not understand what I was saying. How I don't understand but she couldn't. So I write this review to ask AMC Castleton Theater to do better with training their employees, make sure these young kids truly know what they are doing, and to stop just hiring anyone. These two incidents were very sad and disappointing. This generation of young kids truly need our help and for use to hinder thing. The hiring staff is hindering because you are not making sure what they really know what to do and are trained properly. So one needs to be back there to make sure if they need help, open your mouth, ask for a supervised and/or manager for help. Seriously!! Don't read this, over look or ignore. Take this serious, handle it and do better. CUSTOMER SERVICE!! read more

Hate that you have to pick seats now, but plus side the seats recline. Comfort level on a scale from 1 to 10, I give it a 15!

There was an issue with a movie that was delayed 15-20 minutes and when I asked for passes to compensate the poor experience the GM was not helpful. She thought it was more important to haggle at 1230 AM for popcorn or a soda instead of movie passes. She also though it was more important to debate with me that it was not that long of a delay and therefore not a big deal. In my opinion you should try to make the customer happy instead of trying to debate or haggle. Thanks but no thanks for the popcorn that costs you 15 cents a bag to make, and then you overcharge customers for. Ill see my movie elsewhere next time. read more

I came out here expecting it to be better. Paid the more expensive tickets rather than sticking to one closer to me. The employee restocking candy was rude and yelling about putting in her two weeks once she gets her interview in, while pushing us out of her way with a cart. We paid for a combo and mozzarella sticks and had to wait because they forgot to give it to us. The whole time we thought they were still making it. It was messy and we received A BUCKET OF POPCORN CRUMBS. When we got to our seats, there were two people sitting in them and they just kept jumping from seat to seat as more people came in to sit in their seats, having to kick them out of it. The theater was HOT. To the point where it became uncomfortable and my husband and I were sweating in our chairs. We also came here because of our AMC stubs rewards. We came to watch Spider-Man Homecoming at 10:30, 7-8-2017. We will not be coming here again, I would rather stick to paying cheaper tickets to be treated this way. Having come from Chicago and having the Ford City AMC closest to us , (popular for being trashy and ghetto) I would say that theater is way better than this one regardless of renovations!!!! read more

I am so torn when it comes to my feelings for this theater. It used to be the only theater I went to when I used to live closer by. But then I don't know when it started getting so unruly with teenagers just loitering and running amuck to the point where security has now relocated their watch tower to being smack dab in the middle of the parking lot. Probably a wise choice on the mall's part as there have been a string of violence over the past few years. I'm glad AMC renovated their seats to become recliners as this is the trend theaters are moving towards. However, the sharp increase in price of concessions is so high it'll give you a nosebleed! Literally every other person in line including myself can't help but verbalize their sticker shock. Damn near $20 for chicken tenders?! Ok you know what? Their chicken tenders may always have been expensive but I'll admit they were actually pretty good back then. Now it's this stale overly breaded chicken not-so-tenders for the same price as two movie tix! Needless to say I try to avoid coming here at all cost and my visits here are few and far between. But seriously... can we all boycott the ridiculous concession prices?! read more

The venue itself is decent. Seats are comfy and amenities are good. The reason I am giving this a 1 star is because of the blatant disrespect from the audience. I understand that there might be some whispers here and there throughout the movie, but to carry on a conversation or talk loudly regarding the movie, NO ONE WANTS TO LISTEN. As a consumer, I pay good money to be able to sit and enjoy a movie without having to listen to everyone else's rude behavior. This is 99% of the reason why my husband and I just wait for the movie to go On Demand or if it's something we really want to see, we go to Flix because the audience seems to have some common curtesy and not talk throughout a movie. If you want to only catch half of the show because the people around you are disrespectful and don't care, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, I suggest you go somewhere else or be patient and wait till the movie comes out so you can enjoy in the privacy of your own home where it's quiet and you can enjoy at your own leisure. Be respectful, have some common decency, and don't be a douche. Thanks... read more

I wish so badly I could like this theater but it somehow leaves me frustrated after most visits. While I appreciate that i have been able to land seats even last minute for movies, this theater can become pretty cramped. The seating isn't as deluxe and comfortable as some other Indy theaters. What gets me the most are the bathrooms and overall cleanliness of the theater. For some reason, the toilets in the women's restroom look as if they are all broken or decades old. I have been in there when there has been feces smeared on the walls, pee on the floor (you could visibly see a puddle AND smell it), and no soap or sinks worked the last time. ONE sink had a little soap to spit out to the ladies in the restroom with me and we took turns waiting for one working sink. I just find this unacceptable. If we end up there, it's solely because we were at the mall and did not feel like driving back downtown and seeing a late film. read more

Theater is nice, but we don't attend often anymore. The reclining seats are not important to me (previous seats were comfortable), and have only driven up the prices and made it so fewer people can attend. We don't like the reserved seating. When we decide to see a movie, we usually can't, because seats are reserved hours, and days ahead of time. We prefer this theater because it's clean, close by, and we like the concessions, but usually end up going to Glendale Landmark because we can get tickets. Extremely disappointed, but going to Glendale Landmark again tonight. read more

We had not been in a movie for a while. We went on a Monday morning to see Midway. They signed us into a seat so we found a seat in the proper location.
