We first started using Ambush Pest Control 5 years ago. Something in our home was biting us. What, we did not know but several of us had multiple bites on our legs and arms. I called multiple companies explaining that there was some type of insect in our home and we got all types of scary explanation involving tenting our home and large dollar amounts to treat the issue. David from Ambush said that he would come out to our home at no cost and tell us what our insect issue was. He made an appointment, he was on time, professional and this guy knows his stuff. He laid on our floor and within minutes, he told us that we we had was house spiders. No need for tenting, no need for large dollar amounts, just house spiders. We signed up for Davids service and no more house spiders. This past summer, we had a roof rat get into our home. We did not know how this happened but we were being held hostage to this rat. It was just awful. David was out of town when this happened but he told us that as soon as he was back in town he would take care of this issue for us. David came over, identified where the rat had gotten into our home. He closed up the exterior entry points for us. He set a trap and he caught the rat that evening. David laid traps outside and multiple rats were caught in the next few weeks. He also searched the neighborhood and found that a neighbor of ours was putting out food for the ducks. I've been using David at Ambush Pest Management for the past year. He was a referral from a long-time friend of mine. He takes care of both the inside and outside of the home. We've been treated for ants and rodents. For my particular application, he sprayed inside and trapped outside. He uses an organic spray that is kid and pet friendly. He is always on time, and he reminds me via text message when he's coming for the quarterly treatments. I've used David for almost 20 years. He is honest, gets the job done and is a very caring guy. I've had no problems with pests around my house. Ambush keeps bugs out of my house. Plus, I have kids and a dog, so Ambush uses products which are safe around us. You'll have to ask them how it's bad for bugs but safe for us, all I know is: it works. I was a customer of David's for years & am disappointed that he has not responded to my requests for quarterly treatment. I signed another annual agreement with him last summer and paid him in full but haven't seen or heard from him since October of 2016. I know I am not the first customer where he decided not to fulfill his end of his "annual agreement". I had recommended his company to a co-worker & he disappeared on her family as well. I agree with some of the others' comments about his pompous behavior. I tolerated it for years because I felt he knew his trade, but his lack of professionalism has gone too far this time. He is extremely well versed in his field and is interested in educating his customers on what we can do to minimize our need for him to come more often than the schedule quarterly service. And, at the same time, he always asks us to call him if we see issues pop up that need addressing; so that he can knock them out immediately. He never takes shortcuts with the supplies that he uses and is always conscious about the home environment being safe for children and pets, inside and out.. Would not recommend - he is rude, confrontational, and stopped showing up and ignored all of our texts and calls the last 6 months of our 1 year plan. David came highly recommended from family and he is knowledgable. He was pretty good the first few months, and about 4 months in we had our first problem. We had a hornets nest so I kept texting him and got no response, no returned calls either. He finally responsed a week later saying he took care of it while I was at work, the problem was that hornets were still flying in and out. I asked him about this and he said that I'm wrong and that's impossible - so I sent him a video text of the hornets. I tried to call, no answer. He then texted and told me that it can take a few days for the hornets to die - which is fine, but doesn't change the fact that he never responded and never communicated until a week alter, and he told me I'm wrong and that thats impossible which seemed like he was calling me a liar. About six months in it was time for our quarterly inspection, so he texted and asked about a Thursday and I said that would work great because I would actually be working from home that day and I should be around most of the day, just have to run a couple of errands. He didn't give a time window or anything, so I ran to starbucks two blocks from my house around 10 am. He texted and said 'This must be that time that youre not home'. I responded instantly and said 'Yes, but I can be home in two minutes'. He replied 'Too late, I have to go to Frisco now and can stop by in the afternoon' so I said 'that's fine, please just give me a heads up so that I can make sure to be home when you're coming'. Well, around 2 pm he texts and says 'You around?'. I didn't see the text for 15 minutes and then I replied 'Yes I am'. He says 'Too late, Im on my way to another house' and he left it at that. I tried to call, no answer. So I texted again and said 'when can you come over?'. He responsed instantly and said 'Not today since you're never home'. I responded 'In the future it would be helpful if you gave a heads up since it is unreasonable to think that someone should stay home all day waiting for you to come over'. He responded 'Mr XXXX, maybe you should be home when you say you're going to be home'. He eventually promised to come out Friday, but he never showed. After that last incident he never responded to my texts or calls. My wife called him from her number since he didn't have it and he answered. She got him to agree to a date to come out to service our house. He never showed. He didn't respond to any texts or calls from here on out. read more

Save your money and your time and look elsewhere. There are many other options out there than to rely on this man. Not only is he not reliable, he's rude, doesn't call you back and if he does choose to respond, it's via text at his convenience. He also makes false promises. He said a number of times he'd stop by and never did. And if you have a question because you genuinely don't understand the procedure, he becomes annoyed as if you're wasting his time. I should have followed my gut the first time we met when he started bad mouthing a few of his current customers. Lesson learned. read more

Terrible customer service and never finished job. Was contacted 5 times in September of 2014 and did not respond to two voicemails, 1 email and 2 texts. Works on his schedule not yours and outright lies about the job he will do and when he will do it. Was hired in Feb of 2014 to trap some squirrels, plug holes they had going into attic and repair/replace damaged woodwork. 9 months later the job is still not finished and he constantly promises to come by but almost without fail breaks those promises and never had the professionalism or common courtesy to let you know he wont be able to make it. Another good example of what you get with this guy is a few weeks after he was hired, I texted him wanting to know when he was going to come out and reset his traps. He texted back. "its my birthday, call me on Monday." If this is the type of service you are looking for, this is your guy. After a few weeks, he obviously moves on to other jobs and pays little to no attention to what is left to do on yours. His attitude once you pay is "I have your money, I will do the job when I feel like and maybe not at all." Also, if you are foolish enough (as I was) to pay for his over valued "12 month exclusion service", make sure you have him leave a note on your door when he comes by. He never lets you know when he has been by otherwise. Avoid at all costs! read more
