Went for lunch at my daughter's suggestion. She has door dashed their food before. It's walk up to order and they bring food to your table. It's a very small place, but cozy. We both had falafel wraps and fries. The menu is pretty customizable with add-ons but then it gets expensive quickly. I thought the falafel was excellent and a good portion. The absolute BEST CANNNOLI I have ever eaten‼ my husband, got the chocolate cake which melted in your mouth, absolutely top quality chocolate cake‼My husband & I made it by at closing time and was welcomed just like it was opening time‼The place smelled amazing and everyone in ambrosia was so helpful with our options. I love Mediterranean food so this was a must stop. The portion sizes were huge, the service staff was super nice and the inside was super cool. Looked like they sold like mystery books/games in brown wrapped paper with a brief description. I don't know, cool and different! The only down side that was super irritating was that I'm currently traveling and I had ordered food to go. I was already on the road and I realized I had no utensils to eat my salad. May have just been a mistake but unfortunately it was a mistake that caused me to waste food since I had no means and I really wanted to try it. I needed a vegetarian dinner and after reading multiple high rated reviews decided to visit. I was immediately greeted by someone sitting at the bar--which startled me because I hadn't intended to have a 'strangers' conversation (ambiance). Eventually it turns out that she is management. This is an 'order at the counter' 'fast food' establishment. I reviewed the very limited menu and looked at the food on display. One item appeared to be fried cheese, so I asked and learned it's fried dough. (If I had ANY interest in fried dough/donut holes, I would go to a donut shop.) I placed my order for a side of dolmades and a side of orzo salad. I presumed this would be a FAST project. NOPE. It took a long time, two other customers who came after me were served and left in the time I was waiting. I get to my room to discover the problem. SOMEhow, my inquiring about the fried item was MIS interpreted to be that I did not know what I really wanted, when I ordered and paid for dolmades. They substituted my order for dolmades with syrupy gooped donut holes--which I did NOT want and did NOT order or request. So, I failed to tell them NO tomato. I spent twenty minutes picking tiny pieces of tomato out of my orzo salad. THAT after being very very upset to not have the dolmades. read more

Well, I just got a chance to try Ambrosia, and it was good from the start. Inside dining and a few tables out front. Wonderfully decorated inside and full of life with family photos and many things Greek. Got there a little before noon and it was already very busy. The menu is brief and straightforward. Kind of refreshing to not have 9000 choices. I ordered the Falafel Gyro with side Greek salad to go. Staff was friendly and efficient in spite of their busy state of affairs. This is a new restaurant owned and operated by the high country Greek owners. This is closer to a fast food restaurant with a more limited menu. Nevertheless, the restaurant maintains the same standard of excellence as its sister restaurant. The gyros and Greek salad are delicious with very large portions. This restaurant is not clean. 3 open tables inside and all were dirty, not from just one person using them, there was a lot of dirt like they had not been cleaned in a long time. Asked to have a table cleaned and someone came and wiped it off. Shoes were sticking to the floor where you order at the counter. 2 younger girls working behind counter and they were both very friendly. Food was very tasty but while we were eating, another person, who seemed to be friends with the 2 workers, came in with a puppy and sat at the counter with it in their arms or on her lap. One of the workers came out and petted the dog and went back to work. Health rating was 94 but should be lower. Would not recommend eating here until they do a thorough clean and follow standard health guidelines for a restaurant. read more

My husband and I are both former chefs. I really hate leaving unsatisfactory reviews. I did try to talk to the " manager" of this establishment to implore with them the importance of what my issue was. I was basically dismissed. I told them firstly, I didn't want my money back, but there was a very, very serious problem with their Gyro meat. (A lamb blend) After my first bite, I warned my husband it was extremely salty. I took a few more bites trying to determine if it was indeed the meat or the tzatziki sauce. He was shocked just how correct I was. Unfortunately, it was inedible. We called , spoke to the manager and suggested that she taste the meat for herself. She said no one else complained. Basically we got the brush off. When I talk about over salted, I mean my tongue is sore from it 30 minutes later. My husband called back again genuinely concerned for their business and their patrons. Again, a dismissive tone... this time with obvious disrespect. Ok fine, we tried. Was this some anomaly, a new inexperienced cook or sabotage? Our order was prepared on Sept 4, 2024 about 20 minutes before closing at 8pm. The place has pretty positive reviews, so we just don't understand how it could go so very wrong. Buyer beware. Loved the place at Deer Valley - same owners and menu, right? I know everybody's costs have increased but this is just ridiculous. $14 for fries with about $1 worth of feta sprinkled over the top. Was about to place an order when I saw the prices and changed my mind. We know prices go up, but at this rate people just aren't going to pay it. Better to make a fair profit than none is t it??Sorry guys. Can't afford $20 for a salad. We'll be back when it's affordable and if not we'll just have to do without. read more
