Courtney is my stylist and always does a phenomenal silk press (I'm natural and this hair needs occassional blow dry taming) and my short cut & color. They use great products, tools and I love his technique. One major difference I see in the shop is the increased diverse talent and vibrancy of the staff. I appreciate that in a hair salon. Bookings are online or phone call, parking spots are across at Einstein's (I learned the hard way today and parked in the big lot next to Sprint and had to pay an event fare) and Starbucks is up the block if you need a coffee/tea although the staff here will gladly pour you a mimosa.

Until I located this review, I was hesitant because there were very few reviews. However, I reviewed the photos, reviews and website and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of work. I decided to book four reservations for my family. I knew I was taking a risk because everyone kept asking me if this was a good choice. To book the appointment was see less, you select your time slot and done. I felt confident in my decision and paid the required deposit. I like the instant communication that is received to confirm your appointment. The makeup artist was in communication with me within the hour. I was feeling more confident about my decision to book with her. She was very warm and welcoming, we all felt comfortable. I love the glamorous set up, think movie set. She was organized and time efficient, because we were on a schedule. Everyones' makeup was flawless and done as requested. He's super friendly and is so great at conversation without being overwhelming. I've vented about a bunch of random problems and he's so insightful about everything. I really enjoy those conversations. Graham has an intern named Juniper who is also amazing. She'll typically be the one to blow out my hair after highlights. She is so sweet and fun to talk to. And you can tell that she really cares about doing a good job. And she does do a good job. And shoutout to Rob at the Midtown location for giving me bangs. I don't think I would love them so much if he weren't the one who cut them. They have free bangs trimmings here, so whenever I get my highlights done, I ask Rob to trim my bangs, and he does. He's very thoughtful about cutting hair. Especially with bangs. He will ask for pictures, and if you can't find any, he will pull up his own pictures on his iPad to help you figure out what you want. He also is an artistic genius and will recommend things that work with your facial structure better. I thought I wanted curtain bangs but he recommended a more straight cut of bangs, and I am so thankful he did. If you want a good haircut that makes you look like you can afford the best of the best (aka Rob), you need to see Rob. Even when my hair isn't blow dried or straightened or whatever, it looks amazing when I wake up and go to sleep. He gave me layers once and, if you'll believe it, it changed my social life for the better. Also he's very good at getting people to talk about their lives. Inquisitive and talented. If you have your own strong preferences and he recommends otherwise, you can still tell him what you prefer and he'll happily do it, but he knows so much about what looks good on different people, so I'd definitely listen to him. He's done my little teenage brothers' hair before and they appreciate him a lot too, which says a lot because they're picky teenage boys.
