Ambassadors is a small divey takeout place for fish and chicken. No frills here just friend chicken and fish. I have ordered a few times for parties, events etc. The fried wings are small like i like them and very seasoned. The catfish is really surprisingly good!! Fries are good here too. They have an array of sides like mac and cheese, cold salads, collard greens and yellow rice which is sooo tasty, this is def not a place for healthy options so dont expect it. read more

When will Ambassador fish and chicken ever not be good?!? Literally the best chicken shack in NJ. Also, the hot honey sauce is undefeatedddddddddd. Thank you for the very nice catfish dinner I have had twice in the last week. I am visiting the area from Queens, was in the mood for some fish and the good online reviews lead me straight to your place. I was not disappointed. Great fish! I would also like to add that the rice is exceptionally on point. I visited new location on Lyons & Bergen and was totally disappointed! I ordered 2 10 pcs of whiting fish only! Got home open box maybe they slipped tilapia on me, but it definitely wasn't whitey! What it was terrible, I'm done never again! read more

Chicken is amazing. Fresh, crispy, and doesn't take forever even when placing large orders. Was suggested by a friend. Who said this was the best chicken in Newark. I think it might be the best anywhere. They dubbed it " Crack Chicken" and it definitely is. You can't eat just one. They aren't super greasy either and have the fresh golden crisp. Although the location is not the best the quality of the chicken makes it well worth the visit. It's definitely a hidden gem chicken shack. For a very reasonable price you get a ton of chicken that is mouth watering and very addicting. Other then fried chicken they do offer buffalo wings, fish and shrimp. I wish they offered better sides. I am only a fan of there fries when it comes to all of the sides that they offer. read more

I visited the Clinton Avenue location after work with my 5 year old son and ordered 15 wings. As I waited 2 minutes for my chicken to be packed I noticed 3 baskets of cooked chicken just sitting by the fryer. I received my order got in my car to taste a piece of the irresistible chicken and my first bite was a total shock to my taste buds. The chicken had a old smell and taste. I got out the car and went back inside to advise the workers that my chicken was old. The female that was there called "Muhammad" to assist me I'm guessing he was in charge. I let Muhammad know that the chicken was old and showed him the dried up "OLD" wings that were redropped in the grease for resale. I advised him that I visit all the time but normally I visit the South Orange Avenue location. He began to state that he don't know I stopped at his location and should never return. I requested a refund he went to the register and gave me $11.00 back and my total was $11.77. I told him he need to return all my money he then yelled I'm charging you for that bite you took. I just turned and left didn't have any energy in 90 degree weather to argue with this rude man. I went to the S.orange Ave location spoke to the guy in charge which was "Muhammad" son (smh) he did apologize but didn't reimburse my $.77 nor did he offer a free soda or something for the inconvenience.
