Amazonia Kitchen and Bath recently completed a HUGE project with us for 2 weeks. With Amazonia, we - replaced ~1600 sq. ft. of stone with Porcelain Tile (complex as the previous floor has extra thinset) - changed kitchen countertop and island granite to quartz (added waterfalls and height and extended island) - changed fireplace and vertical slabs in the family room area with quartz (complicated as the entertainment center sat on the slab) This project plan went on for about a month and execution was completed in 2 weeks - exact on date - as committed. In fact, aspects of the job were completed a day before time. Randy Engagement ================ - Randy is professional and responds well on text. The better prepared you are with what you want, the better he can help you. - In my engagement, Randy did go out of his way to talk to me on the phone for 30+ minutes multiples times during the engagement including multiple late evenings and weekends. This was especially critical when the supplier screwed up the tile delivery and Randy helped navigate to an appropriate solution. - He did help with clarity and provided guidance on making decisions. - He helped connect to right suppliers as and when needed. - My family and I highly appreciated this aspect. Tile Installation Team ------------------------------ The Ukranian team (Valentine, Benjamin, Serge et al.) work like machines. They are phenomenal in terms of timeliness, cleanliness, quality of work, schedule, hard work and friendly approach. I never saw them wasting time, lurking around etc. They not only completed the work on time and cleaned really well after themselves but also helped working around my schedules, limitations around space to work etc. Quartz / Slab Installation team ------------------------------------------- Antonio and team are artists - not only did they complete my slab work on time but like multiple pictures seen on yelp - the veining of the slabs quartz along with waterfalls created as well as vertical slabs created for my project were done with FAR better precision that I ever imagined. Amazonia's team is a set of extremely courteous, professional artists. Randy as a leader manages his show well and he and his team do an extremely amazing job. I couldn't have asked for a better team to work with and am glad I worked with Amazonia Kitchen and Bath. I love the granite Amazonia recently installed in my kitchen. Everything about the job went well. I had a hard time finding a company that had positive feedback that would make the drive to my house in El Centro. Finally, a salesman at Arizona Tile in San Diego told me about Amazonia and when I found there was a lot of positive feedback for the company, I called Randy, Amazonia's president. He said they would be happy to come out to the Imperial Valley. As soon as I spoke with him, I knew Amazonia was the perfect company to work with. He is knowledgeable, professional and clearly wants to please. Since I had specific things in mind, I really liked talking directly with the person who would make them happen, rather than some salesperson go-between. Randy was prompt in getting a quote to me and was able to get the Kohler cast iron sink I wanted for less cost than I could get it elsewhere. He gave me a good design idea and was supportive when it seemed the sink was going to take awhile to arrive. I really appreciate this! Then the sink came in quicker than predicted, and the process went quickly and smoothly. Two guys came out to my house to measure and make templates. The next week, a team of three guys arrived, removed the old tile countertop, and installed the granite and sink in one day. They even did some fitting on the spot. There was no mess involved. They cleaned up everything. I have a large island that I wanted a slight curve on one side, which came out beautifully. It is absolutely perfect. Then there is a fairly long L-shaped counter with full backsplash. The only seam is in the continuous, long backsplash behind the stove. It is well concealed by the patterning in the granite. The upgrade edging is gorgeous. Because of the distance involved, I didn't ask to see the templates on the granite before it was cut, and trusted Randy and his team's judgment. They know what they are doing, without a doubt. The placement of the granite patterning is perfect, just what I was hoping for. The balance of the flow of pattern along the counter and backsplash is masterful. As a bonus, I was given a good-sized leftover piece of the granite to use for some other project. I look forward to calling Amazonia when I'm ready to replace my bathroom counters with stone. read more

I would like to take a moment to tell everyone that Amazonia did such a wonderful job for my granite countertop, big island and full granite back splash. First of all, I had at least 5 quotes before Amazonia. Some of them only do installation not fabrication, others price are not competitive with Randy's offer. I like his offer including undermount sink cut, outlet cut, cocktop cut, 15 years sealer, even very nice edging detail. On top of that, they made a nice curvy design on one side of my big island, free of charge. And all other companies has extra charge on it. Randy also saved me money by ordering the slabs I like and picked them up from Anheim for me. I had a bit worry about in the beginning that Amazonia can perform or not, after checking his website, and view the beautiful back slash design, I have confidence that they are deliver the end result. More interestingly, when I was mentioning I was hiring Amazonia to my very trusty friend, she gave high praise for what they have done for her five bathrooms too. I can not say enough how much I like my backslash and island design. I have picked a wavy pattern of granite and hope it will look like a painting since it is the center of the kitchen. And they did great job to make it like one big picture even it is assembled in three pieces. The workers are very friendly too, they have 20+ years experience. This company is very good. It is run by a guy named Randy , who is the real deal. Contractors usually have a bad reputation for lots of reasons. I assure you Amazonia is different. Randy came to our house on a Sunday to give us an estimate. He was very informative, and direct. He went over all the details of the demolition process to the installation process. Just about everything that he said would happen , did happen. His installers were polite and clean and kid friendly. The job was completed in the 7 days he promised. The only difficult process was finding the right slabs. We went to every slab yard on Miramar rd. Some of the places were not so friendly, which I will review separately. We found Arizona Tile on Carrol rd to be the largest selection and had the most helpful employees on site to help with the selection process. I suggest you go there first, you wont need to go anywhere else. We met Randy at a home show in Del Mar, along with many other countertop specialist that were at the home fair, we had 3 different in home consolations . All were somewhat competitive in price. Randy directed us to his website that has literally hundreds of folks just like us as referrals. Amazonia's price came in a bit higher than the others, but he saved us a lot of money on the purchase of the slabs using his fabricator discount. We could not be happier. We are very happy with the installation of granite on our kitchen counters by Randy and his team at Amazonia Kitchen and Bath. I had 3 quotes done, and Amazonia was by far the most reasonable. The process was simple, I emailed Randy a drawing of my kitchen counters with the measurements and he quoted me a price the same day. From there, we chose the granite slabs we wanted, and put a deposit on them. Amazonia was able to purchase our slabs at a discounted price. The demo and install dates were arranged once we had chosen the granite, about a week apart. The demo was done by David, and went very smoothly. They protected the flooring and cupboards, and minimized the dust in the kitchen. They also cleaned up after the demo and were very respectful of my home. The actual install also went very smoothly, with David and his team doing a beautiful job putting in the counters. They made sure to cut the slabs with the pattern running in the same directions on the counters and on the island. I can barely see where the seams are. With the leftover granite, I also had them install a top on my linen cupboard, and on the room divider in the entrance to our home. I wasnt happy about one of the corners on the counter (my husband said I was being too picky), but David came out and fixed it. Randy and his crew did a fantastic job on my marble kitchen countertops and tile backsplash. Once my wife and I got through our indecisiveness of which marble to go with and Randy working around my unorthodox work schedule, the template and install was quick and professional Randy was good about getting back to me in a timely manner. He worked around me doing my own demo and prep work to save a little money. We had to reschedule a few times due to my work and also an unexpected 3 day stay in the hospital! The countertops look amazing and fit with precision. A few days later the tile backsplash was installed and the individual who did it was fantastic! He was very meticulous and a perfectionist! My wife and I are extremely pleased on how the entire process came together! Randy even ate a portion of the cost of the install on the backsplash due to the fact that my number was a few square feet short! We plan on doing our downstairs bathroom and upstairs hall cabinets with the leftover material from our kitchen and we are going to call Randy no question! We used Amazonia for to replace a cracked granite countertop and do a small amount of tiling in the kitchen. I believe Randy is the owner, but Antonio and Sergi ? did the work for our job. The quality of the work is outstanding. The counter they fabricated and installed matches the surrounding counters perfectly. There were some tricky aspects of the installation and Antonio handled it perfectly. Sergi ? was very responsive to our requests about the tiling and did an excellent job. Randy's price was excellent. There was a partial refund because we ended up not needing to replace some of the counter and Randy was very fair and prompt handling it. The scheduling/ time estimates were accurate. The only area for improvement, in my experience, would be with communication. I felt that the communications with Randy ( phone and text ) were brief, and sometimes curt. I don't know if that's because they were busy during our project. I used Amazonia Kitchen and Bath 6 years ago when they did a large master bath which included a difficult granite fabrication and installation. They did an exceptional job and my wife was extremely happy. When it came time to remodel our other bathrooms, there was only one choice. Amazonia. Randy and his staff are experts. We chose Quartzite for our bathrooms this time. Randy's team came in and did all the demo, created the counter top templates and left the bathrooms as clean as they found them, no leftover mess. They returned a few days later with the fabricated Quartzite and did a perfect installation. We selected the under-mount sinks from his inventory (which Randy's team installed) and Randy even hooked me up with a great plumber for removal and installation of old/new faucets. All we had to do was select the Quartzite and the faucets. Randy picked up the slabs and sinks and did a fabulous job. His prices were the most reasonable, too! Communication was great. Very impressed with the quality of their work & slab selection! Before Randy at Amazonia was recommended to me I had gone to two different vendors and immediately felt like I was just a dollar sign to them.. I am so happy Amazonia was brought to my attention because they made me excited about upgrading my home again! I felt like they took the tile to really listen to what I was looking for and made sure I was completely happy with my final decisions.. Not only was their customer service exceptional, but their turn around time was very impressive! All other companies I had called were 30 plus days out from install & Randy made sure to get my home done within the two weeks we had previously discussed.. After the install, I noticed that there was a small rough spot on the surface of the counter.. within an hour of me notifying them they had scheduled for someone to be out there that week to buff it out! I had another countertop fabricated and installed by another installer, and was pretty happy with it, but when I was going to use him again, his new estimate was much higher, so I called Arizona Tile and asked them for alternatives, and was directed to Randy at Amazonia. He answered my call immediately, and gave me an estimate within hours. He worked with me to win the contract-things like taking credit card and adjusting his price to compete with the other installer. His team arrived on time, and the job was AMAZING. They added little details to the job that made it look really professional. They were careful of my new floors and I love the way they chose the best part of the granite for the visible places and finished the edges, backsplash, and window ledges. Best of all, Randy always answered his phone when I called him, and his team really helpful.
