Decent 3.5 average. This grocery occupies the former Whole Foods (ha! Also owned by Amazon) on Rinaldi. It's a pretty average grocery store stocking the same brands that most stores would stock. It has all the basic sections of a regular grocery store including their own store brand (Amazon's 365 brand - I think). There are various ways to shop here. You can come completely prepared -- A. create your cart on the Amazon app (Go to Amazon Fresh inside the App) and have it curbside pickup. B. Go completely unprepared and do the traditional thing of grabbing a cart and perusing the sections. C. Get your shopping list together in the Amazon app prior to arriving, scan your app on the fancy cart, and the cart will tell you where to find your groceries. COOL! or D. Order on Amazon App and have it delivered. Anyway, like a moron I did option B. While the store is obviously laid out very systematically and the aisles are clearly labelled, there were a lot of people here -- I would say 80% of the people here were actually Amazon workers completing options C and D above. This made it difficult and a little nerve wracking having to ensure I was social distancing since no-one, not even the staff, were following the 1-way aisle rules. Checkout was easy, just scanned my Amazon barcode and the checker asked if I'd like to use my default card in the Amazon app. I said yes -- Really cool, you get a copy of your receipt right in the Amazon app amongst all your other millions of Amazon binge purchases. read more

Hey, guys . Be careful ordering groceries online . This location makes it a habit to package expired groceries to their customers. They refuse to do anything to change it. I am beginning to this this is a part of scheme to rip off customers who order delivery. It's been an ongoing problem for months and no one is doing anything to change it. read more

Anthony was very helpful during my visit to the Amazon Fresh Store when he told me about the deal that day and helped me get an additional 20% off. Thanks Anthony! read more

I don't mind bagging my own groceries but when I'm the only one in line and my shit is just sitting there while I'm paying and the stupid cashier is standing there doing nothing, then maybe someone needs some training or a new job. I go to Whole Foods because I like the culture and food choices but when I ask for my groceries to be bagged and the dumb ass cashier HANDS me a bag, welp I'll be more than happy to go somewhere else. Tall, brunette, lazy, cashier number 3 I think at 1:30pm, today. Find a new job. read more

I shopped here around nine-ish this morning and I have to say this was probably the best customer service and friendliest staff that I have ever encountered at Amazon fresh. Multiple employees initiated greetings and asked if I needed help with anything. It was like the real customer service that you receive while shopping in a store back in the day and I really appreciated it. Bravo and what a great job the staff is doing there! Made my day because a little kindness goes a long way! read more

I found maggots in seafood and produce from this location. I also noticed there were expired items stocked on shelves and rotten fruit hidden from customers under more presentable fruit. Management is incredibly incompetent and unhelpful. This is one of the worst grocery stores I've had the displeasure of entering, period. Do yourself a favor and never enter this location. I'd rather do my grocery shopping at a gas station if this was my only other option. Ashley the store manager is an absolute joke; asking to speak to a literal rock would end in a more satisfying resolution. My heart goes out to staff members working under such a sad excuse for a "person". read more

I went to this new location yesterday and the store looked amazing.  As expected, it was very clean and organized.  Then again, they've been open for only a few days.  The prices seemed reasonable compared to Whole Foods.   I bought a whole pizza and it was obvious the employees working this department were overwhelmed.  It took about 5 minuets just to ask me if I've been helped.  Once I got the pizza, the underside was slightly burned and they forgot to put one of the toppings. A month after I wrote the review above I went and tried their pizza, and again burned.  It's hard to be this consistent, but they keep burning those pizzas. Probably reserve this place as the last alternative for pizza from now on. read more

Everytime I go the shelves are empty and I coffee pods prices are higher that other markets

I recently took my first visit to an Amazon Fresh store and was very pleased with my experience. I was asked right away if I had been before and when I replied "no" they explained to me how to shop with the cart with no hesitation. I went shopping on a weekday in the evening and it was not busy at all. They had a great selection of items and I love the fact l that I can just link in my Amazon account and not need to stand in any normal long grocery store lines. I'm looking forward to seeing the expansion of more Amazon type stores. read more

Limited selection, high prices, and the only reason I shop there is for the coffee machine, which they were out of coffee, hmmmm a grocery store? BS. read more

Came here for the first time this morning to get some lunch, not much of a selection. Problem is the selections that they do have with warps and sandwiches are extremely high in sodium counts (2400) on a turkey sandwich. I didn't have time to drive somewhere else so I figured I'll try something. Got the Moroccan chicken wrap. Was only able to finish half of it. Chicken had a grainy sandy feel to it, way too many stems to spit out and dig out. Also if you live near by like I do, and you shop around other stores like Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, sprouts and even Ralph's, you can easily tell Amazon is not giving us the best price. Where they charge less on some stuff, they charge more on other items. read more

I tried to use a coupon and the cashier was not sure, called a "manager" who insisted that she couldn't use the QR code picture on my cellphone and somehow I needed a hard copy, mind you this was coupon from Facebook. Ridiculous. I get it, there lots of deals and coupons but as manager you should be aware and deal with it in a more professional manner. I left feeling embarrassed like I was trying to swindle someone. read more

The only thing good about the store is that it's in the location of the previously amazing Whole Foods. I don't know why I keep going there. All the employees are miserable. I feel like I would get happier service in some sort of prison. They also have such a random assortment of items. I never know if I'm gonna find what I need. I don't normally leave reviews like this, but I just had such a sad exchange at the checkout line and I wasn't even surprised. It's kind of the norm there. read more

My first time here, I thought there was some good and bad concepts This is based off my experience as an Amazon Prime member Shout out to the employee (African American guy, 20s, tall, big built, long beard with glasses working the juice area in the very back of the store) who made me not feel crappy about taking a juice from the shelf walking away and two cartons fell off creating a spill. I was freaking out I felt bad thought it was my fault for grabbing the carton too fast and the two cartons after it toppled over. But he calmed me down and said it happens so it's no big deal and even declined for me to offer to pay the two spilled cartons. VS. The other employees that just looked at me lol Pro -A cool concept I wish I could post videos of the shopping cart identifying the item as you place it in the cart and determining if you kept it or not based on weight. -If you have a shopping list on the mini tablet attached to the shopping cart handle it will tell you which aisle the item is. -Amazon locker/customer service desk located on the far left of the store Prices are reasonable got a lot of items for $50 I'd say compare to other grocery stores Con -Kind of more packed than I'd like. And like 85% of the individuals are employees. And I do not mean like the person who regulates people to go in, works the cash register, behind the food counter or those who restock but people shopping for curb side customers or out for delivery. -The sensor would glitch up and won't identify a product the first time or that if you place your hand by the sensor it would need help identifying if it was a personal item or another item that didn't get detected. -I asked for help by one of the employees collecting groceries for an order and it seemed like I was bugging him his response was "oh I am not the right person to ask about that" which was weird because my question was how do I include this cabbage in my cart (turns out there is this code you enter like PLU # or something with a P) and I looked at him like "dude it's exactly what you are doing". But I mean he wasn't mean about it. -No soup was served but the lid was covered in dust. read more

Finally glad to have the option to enter an Amazon Fresh store in person. I love ordering online for grocery deliveries too but it's awfully convenient to step in to grab a few things. Loved how empty this place was there are more Amazon Fresh delivery personnel than actual customers and I find that to be actually pleasing. Never a line, ever. I go in, get my stuff and I'm out. Horrible experience to find a business niumber fo Amazon fresh !!! You get the number for AMAZON PRIME.. people from different countries that works for Amazon don't even know how to give you a telephone number number in the USA!! This review is for a small subsection of the Amazon Fresh experience. I think few people know that they have a touch screen based coffee machine on the left side of the building toward the front. You can get a small Americano for just $1.49 which is the steal of the century. It is quite fruity which I'm always looking for in a quality coffee. My guess is the beans are a blend of African sourced beans although this is just a hunch. I'm pretty sure the beans are roasted by Allegro Coffee, the Amazon Fresh house brand. Check it out on your next visit! The only downside is that the machine is often in disrepair. It's probably not a big money maker so it doesn't receive the highest priority. If more people start using it maybe they will fix it faster. read more

the lady at the kitchen was very rude. i asked if i can order the hot chicken sandwich and she said no not today. which is very surprising to me because that's never happened to me before. i am always here ordering that. so i said oh that's never happened to me before. And she gave me an attitude and said she didn't have enough people. But i see 2 people working there. So then i asked how long the pizza will take because there was no pizzas out. She then proceeded to look at her coworker and pretend I'm not there. Someone had the same question as me and asked them how long it will take. She answered him & not me. I waited my 10 mins and then asked again. They said it will take another 15 mins. Wow really. I waisted 10 mins just waiting there for nothing. read more

Clean store BUT after coming home and reviewing the receipt, the cashier charged for two items of a baked good when we purchased only one. ***CHECK YOUR RECEIPT BEFORE LEAVING THE STORE!!!***. Phone call to Amazon could not refund the full amount of the extra charge. With the current price of gas, it made no sense to drive back for a fix. What a joke. read more

As a prime member for the past 5 years, I would have expected something more, when Amazon created a store, I've been treated absolutely poorly at every visit. The employees at the cash registers don't know how to access the Amazon app, in order for you to use your prime membership to check out, I was actually yelled at my 1st day in the store, by the cashier whom didn't know how to assist an amazon prime customer. My 2nd attempt in the store, was an entire 2 weeks later, because of the trauma I suffered during my 1st visit, They punished me, by shutting the pizza department down, at 6 o'clock pm, even though the sign says 9 PM. They actually snapped at me, for ordering from the deli department, apparently after 6 PM, you can only eat premade chickens and stagnant salad from the store. They are closing their deli down at 6 PM to 7 PM, the store closes at 10 PM, when you arrive to the store, you're forced to get pre-packaged items and only look at the deli items behind glass, because the department closed early again. I see absolutely no benefit to having Amazon prime any longer, based on the treatment that I've had at that Rinaldi store. It's ironic, I actually adored Amazon Prime and use it daily, until I walked into that facility, now I despise the company... Negative 50 stars, Horrible Customer Service, if you want to be treated poorly, Visit that Amazon Store and you'll experience it firsthand!!! read more

I hated. They delivered to my not right food but they said I can't return. WTF It's my hard work money

Love the variety. Employees are helpful. Everything is fresh!! Bakery is off the hook. Buy the fresh sourdough, they will slice it for you. Get the packaged cup of cheesecake brownies. Best find ever!! Go early, get a huge slice of pizza. Eat indoors or out. Don't shop hungry!! I wish I could afford to shop here all of the time. Quite fun but out of my price range, even if Prime members get a discount. read more

This place lacks the service you would find at a local grocery store. No need to make Jeff Bezos any richer. Go shop at a local store and support your small business. My personal experience says never to go back there again! read more

I had a service issue recently. I purchased an item that said $21 on the shelf, but it rang up as $22 at checkout. I told the checkout person I thought it was $21, and they no, $22. I went back and took a picture of the item showing $21, and went back and stood in line briefly. I showed the picture and explained my situation and asked for a refund. I was told I could go stand in line and work customer service on a refund. It was not worth another wait in line for a dollar. I had this happen once before where I thought the pricing wasn't reflected correctly on the shelf, and they didn't seem very concerned. read more

We love that this is a super quick stop on our way off the freeway. We use the automated cart and we're in and out without a wait. I personally find the Amazon cart experience interesting and novel enough to have shopped here a few times when I find myself in the neighborhood, or when I have to make an Amazon return. The store is always clean and its never too hard to find some help if you need it. However, I have witnessed elderly people at the return counter being treated harshly by the employees for not understanding the tech (this has happened more than once), and it really pains me to see. The employees should treat these customers with a little more patience and respect. The store is intimidating even for someone younger like myself, and it is a really new concept for a supermarket. I've been nearly yelled at for moving one of their precious digital carts without signing in first, or by thinking I could take it out of the store to load my car. I've since learned how the store works, but the way I was treated was pretty intimidating when I had no malicious intent. I think eventually everyone will catch up and understand these types of stores, but the employees need some training on how to kindly educate the customers in the meantime if there is going to be any success in the short term. read more

I got there around 10am and asked the pizza counter how do I order pizzas. The girl working the counter tells me that they open at 11am and that has been their hours for 3 years . I tell her I'm sorry I've never ordered pizza here before. I asked her if I can order pizza through the app and she says yes. I asked her if she can show me how but she says she had no clue how to do it. She took my order and says it should be ready by 11:15. I come back at 11:15 and another lady tells me that only 1 pizza is ready and she's working on the 2nd. I said no worries. I come back 15 minutes later to pick up both my pizza orders and go home. What do I find? A burned pizza. They looked at this pizza and still thought it was ok to serve it. I call the 800 # and they tell me I have to go to the store because they don't have a phone.now I'm going back for the 3rd time to get a refund because now I don't have time to wait for them to make me another pizza. read more
