I surprisingly found bottles of Apple sake wine that I have been looking for a year ever since I had it at a Japanese restaurant in Tennessee. I was happy and surprised. Service was cordial and helpful there. I saw a bottle of Angel Ink Pinot Noir and wished I had bought it. The only negative was the bathroom was a mess with tissue paper all over the floors.

Ive purchased a lot of just regular grocery things here including fruits, canned goods, meat products like steak, and more often than not, the deli. The store also seems more modern compared with other stores, and I'm not sure if they recently did a remodel. In terms of grocery stores, this one is as good as it gets

The Hilltop Wegman's has a few things going for it…read more I can tell you that they have a very good wine section, even including a few organic (no added sulfites) vinos. Wegman's also has excellent meat and seafood sections. The bakery is impressive. And one thing they have improved since we first shopped here five years ago is that they have toned down the blasting music that used to make us want to get fast out of Wegman's. The hot foods section used to be pretty good, but now it has shriveled down to next to nothing, The take-home pre-prepared meals, while very good in quality, are exorbitant. Plan on spending $16-$18 for a simple meal, which is as much as you would pay in a restaurant for the same stuff. While they have an abundance of self-check stations, Wegman's doesn't let you get cash back, like you can at Safeway. The self-check stations can be persnickety. Today, I encountered one machine claiming I had put an unchecked item in the bagging item before I had even started scanning my stuff. Yikes! But what I really don't like is how Wegman's does bagging. The Virginia legislature in 2022 passed a law allowing grocery stores to collect from customers 5¢ for each plastic bag used. Wegman's has completely done away with plastic bags, yet Wegman's but takes advantage of that law to charge 5¢ for each paper bag. The icing on the cake is their paper sacks do not even have handles.

I grabbed a couple fist fulls of fresh red chili peppers and bright orange habaneros along with some assorted vegetables for a spicy curry recipe at a reasonable price during my visit. My aunt and I also selected some delicious cooked duck and pork (asian style) that was rich and delicious and worth every cent. Fresh world further lived up to their name with a fish market and butcher which provided me with some Mexican and Chinese style sausage made on site that day. If you are looking for reasonably priced produce and fresh cooked and affordable Peking duck and pork than visit Fresh world instead of your local grocery chain. The only minor gripe is that we were approached by very religious christians that followed my aunt and I to our car telling us how much Jesus loved us and pushing pamphlets. They were not threatening and only pushy. Had they taken a polite no for an answer, I would have given the place 5 stars.

From the…read moreoutside they looked fine, but when I cut them open the next morning (03/07/26 around 11:00 AM) both of them were completely spoiled inside -- dark, moldy, and clearly inedible. What makes this situation even more ironic is the message printed on the store's bag: "Always FRESH!". Unfortunately, my experience was the exact opposite. This isn't really about the money. The amount is small. The issue is that customers should not be sold produce that is already rotten inside. If a store promotes "Always Fresh," there should be proper quality control to ensure the products on the shelf actually meet that promise. I hope someone from Fresh World's management or marketing team reaches out to address this situation, offer the appropriate apology, and refund the purchase. Regardless of the price, customers should not have to pay for food that is already spoiled. I'm sharing this so other shoppers are aware and can check their produce carefully when buying from this store.

Ms. Dee at Wegmans made our 36th wedding anniversary even more special!…read more I stopped by Wegmans to buy flowers for my wife, Kim, to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary. I thought I knew exactly what I wanted, but after speaking with Ms. Dee, I quickly realized my original choice wasn't nearly as beautiful as what she recommended. Her expertise and eye for design made all the difference. The arrangement she created was absolutely stunning, and Kim loved it! Since my mother-in-law, my daughter, my goddaughters, and their mom were all visiting to celebrate with us, I also wanted to surprise each of them with flowers. Once again, Ms. Dee came through with gorgeous arrangements that perfectly fit each person. Seeing the smiles on everyone's faces made the occasion even more meaningful. Ms. Dee is the perfect example of what outstanding customer service looks like. She is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, patient, and genuinely kind. She took the time to understand what I wanted, offered thoughtful recommendations, and treated me as if helping make our anniversary special was just as important to her as it was to me. Because of Ms. Dee, our anniversary celebration was even more memorable. Her warmth, attention to detail, and passion for what she does have earned a customer for life. If you're looking for beautiful flowers and exceptional service, do yourself a favor and ask for Ms. Dee. She is simply the best!
