Reading reviews can sometimes steer you in a different direction. However, when it comes to yard work, it's not only the company you hire but it is also the understanding that it's a team effort, the landscaping company can change the look of your yard but does not control the feeding (watering). I've personally witnessed Amazingscapes work and WOW! This company has excellent service, expertise to help transform your yard into the tranquil appealing yard everyone seeks. One of the worst decisions we have ever made was trusting Amazing Scapes / Desjoyaux Pools with our pool installation. What was supposed to bring joy and memories to our family has turned into years of stress, frustration, and constant headaches. We spent over $70,000 CASH on this pool in 2021, and since installation, we have dealt with recurring flooding issues involving the PFI compartment and pool equipment every single time it rains. We have sent countless emails over the years trying to get this issue properly fixed. Instead of actually correcting the root problem, we were repeatedly given temporary band aid fixes that would fail shortly after, leaving us right back at square one. Now they are essentially trying to walk away from responsibility altogether. Our salt system no longer works properly, we've had to operate the pool as a chlorine pool, and we are now left dealing with legal action over a pool that simply does not operate as intended. To make matters worse, the blame has consistently been shifted onto us instead of them standing behind their work. We are not the only customers who have had serious issues with this company either. Please heed this warning and do your research before investing your hard earned money here. We truly wish we had seen a review like this before moving forward. Do NOT use Amazing Scapes / Desjoyaux Pools for your pool installation. Go with another company that has a more proven and reliable system. read more

Wrote a review before which no longer appears here so writing again- run from this company. In 2021, not only did it take 9 months for them to finish a pool/spa/patio but we've had to redo much of the work such as the configuring of the pool equipment (including replacing several parts), low spots in the lawn causing pooling (which I BEGGED them to address before the sod went in), the front gate being built before concrete was poured leaving at least an 8-10" gap, etc. The pool heater was not working once the pool/spa was done and it took ANOTHER 8 MONTHS after completion for them to finally replace it! During construction a month would go by with nothing being done at all. Had I not supervised this work myself as I was working from home back in 2021 no telling what would have happened since they were almost never here and could hardly reach them. Only writing this review again because we are now having to hire another company and spend even more money to fix all the yard irrigation problems that were left behind- which is super frustrating to say the least. I just want to warn others to really do your research. read more

Stay away from this company. They are very good about signing you up for service. In my experience, their crew does not perform the work fully that is contracted. They didn't even mow my entire lawn, much less the weeding, bush trimming, etc. that was agreed upon. But when it comes down to getting a response from them, good luck. I finally had to email through their website firing them before someone showed up or called me to "fix the issue". At that point, I was done. Then they have the audacity to expect me to pay in full for service that was never done. Not going to happen. I've already filed my BBB report on them. It's just too bad that Yelp doesn't allow for zero stars. read more

I have used Amazing Scapes for multiple projects. I have had new sod installed, overgrown bushes taken out, and a patio extended. Each time the staff was professional, fast, and cleaned up thoroughly. I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again. read more

Overall a very poor experience. Biggest issues were communication, workmanship, and some project items were not completed at all. Communication overall was a challenge, both between the company and customer and within the company. Owner did not communicate many of the agreed upon (contracted) items to the job foreman, so as the customer I was repeatedly having them do or redo things that had been skipped completely. Workmanship quality was poor. For example, new sod was installed and there were significant low spots that pooled water after rain or when the irrigation system came on. Eventually, after insisting multiple times that it be fixed, they lifted sod from the low area and raised it to be more level. Trenching in the back yard for the drainage and irrigation system was supposed to be done 'surgically' (per the company owner) and the existing sod saved and reinstalled - instead the existing sod was hauled off, new sod was placed over the trench as an afterthought (only after I insisted that they not leave a muddy mess, and at my expense), and dirt was left laying on the surface all around the trenched areas (I, the customer, later had to rake and remove as much excess dirt as possible to prevent killing the grass near the trench). The rock retaining wall that was installed does not match what was agree upon (pictures of the desired wall from a nearby job site were provided and agreed upon in advance), the wall installed is not level as it should be (runs up hill with the terrain), the rocks are not the color agreed upon, the general look of rock placement is sloppy. Sod in the very front of my yard was installed in small pieces as they appeared to be running out of sod. The pieces used were brown and the surface is hardly flat or smooth; the grass did eventually turn green but the finished look is not good - at the most visible part of my front yard near the street. Despite multiple requests to readjust the newly installed irrigation system, the sprinkler heads were left as installed, missing some sod areas while thoroughly watering the front porch. (I, the customer, had to re-adjust these correctly.) Finally, not all project items were completed. For example, there was an area of my front yard where the existing grass was to be removed, the surface level raised by adding dirt, then new sod was to be installed. Despite requesting several times that this be done per the contract, the crew moved on and the company sent me an invoice for the project (several messages were sent to the owner indicating that there were still items unfinished). Frankly it was easier to pay the invoice and be done with this company, and as the customer I went back and finished many of the items that were not completed. Terrible work and no customer service after project is "done"! They installed zoysia sod last fall. By the spring, most of it was weeds! They did not roll it when they installed it resulting in many pieces not growing. I have written to them to ask that they replace some of it and have received no response. My wife and I hired this company in 2018 after our regular guy went into another business. We hired them for several reasons one being they use a reelmower on our Bermuda grass for that Golf Course look. The other is for all the extras, weeding flower beds, trimming shrub etc... But and there's always a but. I was constantly having to tell the yard men what they're supposed to be doing each week. There was one person mowing and another edging trimming. The one mowing was always the same the other was a hit and a miss. They never weeded the flower beds, they never edged right and they would trim bushes they weren't supposed to trim including trees. On three different occasions I tried to contact them for some landscaping needs and Chris nor patty the owner's never returned my calls. We left voice mail's and we told the the yard men and still no response. After talking to Patty in person about the problems nothing changed so I gave them a bad review on Google. Basically, tired of paying good money to hold their hands. Today patty called to say that because of the bad review they would no longer be servicing our yard and they were glad to be rid of us. read more
