I had eye lash extensions done this past Friday evening, they were almost all gone by the next afternoon, not even 24 hours. The policy doesn't prevent a free service it's lining your pockets. It protects you from taking accountability. While you are lining your pockets who is protecting the clients from your financial abuse? Your YELP reviews show that this is an ongoing problem. Lashes falling out after 1-2 days, when I blink, not from rubbing, oils or water, I literally blinked and felt the extensions fall on to my face. This was my lashes the following day. No oil no water. This is unacceptable! I nearly cried. I work hard for my money. I have an event to attend and this is my lashes for the event. As you can see my eyelashes are still intact the extensions have all come out. This is not a $20, 30 minute service. It was $150 including the tip and the audacity to charge a master stylist fee! It took approximately 2 hours to have done only for them to all fall out the following day. When I contacted them, obviously upset with my service and my extensions falling off after one day they refused to refund me and threatened to get a restraining order on me. I will be contacting the BBB and the attorney general. You have to stop stealing from people. This is robbery! I wish I would've read these reviews before booking with them. I've never had lash extensions but a friend suggested I try it as I was getting married in three days. Made an appointment as the $99 new client special seemed like a decent deal. Salon was very clean, my provider was friendly and told me she was new but not to worry. Of course, I worried. It took the full two hours, and I felt like she was struggling but being new I had no idea. Lashes looked ok, not quite what I expected but they were better than my natural lashes so I went with it. At checkout I was informed I had two days for an adjustment if needed. Next morning they had all fallen out overnight. This is now two days before my wedding. I called and they offered me a time to come in to have them fixed, which was the day before my wedding. I ended up canceling as I had too much to do and didn't have time to sit there for two hours. I ended up canceling and they wouldn't give me a refund. Can't recommend. Their policy is their policy so I won't argue about the money but $99 isn't chump change plus so much time wasted. DO NOT GO HERE!! I usually go to the Chanhassen location but they were fully booked so my only option was to come here. I went in for a refill. At the end of my session, my left eye was hard to open to due to the glue that stuck my eyelid together. I had never experienced that before. My eyes were stinging but fanning them helped so I left. The next morning I woke up with terrible pain in my eye along with a head ache. I have some pictures to show how red my eye was. Love the convenience of a chain lash place where I can book all over the nation. Fast, friendly and consistent. Love it.

I ignored the bad reviews on this place because I have a friend who goes here and has mostly good experiences, other than the times a stylist has glued her lashes together. I should have trusted the other reviews and gone anywhere else but here. For starters, the venue is really sad and depressing. Be prepared that you really are getting the McDonalds of lashes. These are your eyes, people! The rooms are these sad, stained beds that make you question whether they get cleaned, a little sink. There are no places for your belongings. The music from the studio next door vibrates the wall as you start to wonder if this is all worth the money. In preparation, they taped my lashes on the bottom down, and the top lashes also got taped. This was the first bad move- she ripped half of them out when she took the tape off. I said I wanted my lashes to look natural but beautiful, and I had concerns about being too long. I was not offered any particular options on length, so I figured message received. Wrong- they were soo long, they hit the top of my eyelid. When the person closed out the appointment, she did not provide a brush as she is supposed to and was more focused on trying to sell me their lash products. I noticed after I left that a few lashes were pointing straight up, so I called to state my concerns. I am now a week out, and my right eye lashes are in full on mutiny. I have several eyelashes that are facing the wrong way on my right eye (see the picture). They are all clumped together and no amount of brushing makes them look good- I'm resorting to mascara, which was the point of getting lashes at all. I'm also noticing the lashes are also coming out in clumps, which has me extremely concerned about the application process, which should be 1:1. I've had lashes twice before and I know the drill. Never have I had the experience I had at this place. I took off a half day of work to go to Maple Grove to get these done. I did schedule a removal (twice) and tried to get back there but unfortunately I just couldn't make it in my working single mom schedule. Attempts to resolve it over the phone are futile, as they apparently won't trust pictures. I have another place lined up to fix this crap work... I went to get my lashes done yesterday, they have a promotion going on to get a full set of classic lashes for $50-so why wouldn't I try them out?! Well let me tell you why not to go. I've had my lashes done multiple times but this time felt different, by the middle of my lashes being put on, my eyes were constantly watering with mild stinging. I mentioned this to her, she asked if it hurt (more than once, and I gave her the same response- yes, it feels like something got in them) she remained quiet with my answer and continued to put on the lashes. When I was done she asked the same questions and I gave the same answer without any response from her. My eyes were so red and constantly watering that the front desk asked if I was okay. "Looks like you'll need sensitive glue next time" I was told. My eyes hurt so bad to point it is effecting my sleep. They are still watering constantly and stinging like crazy. This is not an allergic reaction, this is chemical burns in both of my eyes. I will be calling today to get a refund, and I will not be going back. Technician was nice but this service was 0/10 and now I'm in a ton of pain. Going to end up crying off all these lashes in a day anyway so it is not even worth the $50. So disappointed. read more

Lash service itself and the service providers are great, but the management is not great. Have had two appointments cancelled shortly before my appointment, with little done to rectify the situation. One time I was at the studio and received a call that nobody was there to do my appointment at the time of my scheduled appointment. I've been a member for about six months and decided to put my membership on hold. The following month I was charged $139.99 on my card so I called the store and asked for a refund and make sure my membership was on hold for the following month. The associate had told me the manager will get back to me and that she put my membership on hold. Never heard from her so I called again and asked - was told the same thing and that my membership was still somehow active, the associate had told me she will make sure it's on hold. 3 weeks later I still don't have my refund. I decide to call today and she tells me that my membership is still active and that her manager will be back Monday and call me back. I was drawn to this franchisee because the location is minutes from my house and they offer a bargain for first time customers. My first stylist was truly amazing. So after years of patronizing another lash salon, I signed up for the membership at the Maple Grove Amazing Lash Studio. I gave this place a shot and really wanted to love it. After about six months, I cancelled my membership based on my experiences - some good, bad, and ugly. The Good * Location - convenient and clean location. * First time deal - good pricing for first time customers. * Hours - open daily, even on Sunday. * Franchise brand - the franchise brand is fun, fresh, and modern. * Simplified styles - it's easy to choose a lash style because they offer four easy options. The Bad * Lagging technology - there is no way to schedule appointments online or to manage your account and membership online - even as I write this review 2007 - wait I mean 2017! * Scheduling - although the location is open daily, it can be difficult to get an appointment within the week. It is not possible to pre-book a few weeks out with your desired stylist. Appointments can only be made over the phone or in person. * Turnover - High stylist turnover and a wide range of stylist skill level with no price differential. There are a lot of inconsistencies with the stylists and the advice they give and their processes. This wouldn't matter as much if it were easier to make appointments with a desired stylist. The best stylist I had, left weeks after I signed up for a membership so I saw several other stylists. * Quality - I had issues with the lashes falling out much sooner than they did at the other salon I went to. One of the stylists I had told me that many others had this problem too. She told me she believed it was because the glue was not kept at the proper temperature and the lashes were too heavy. Other stylists told me that I was experiencing problems because of my own errors - not washing the lashes enough, washing too much, using the wrong cleansers, etc. * Referral program - I never received any credit for the friend I referred. I hoped they would apply without me having to ask; it was never applied. The Ugly * Membership plan - the membership plan ended up costing me more than the services I received. This is because of inconsistent communication from the staff and the inability to track your own usage or appointments online. The staff had differing explanations of how many credits I had used. It was really confusing and was not consistent or aligned to my own records. When I mentioned the discrepancies, the employees restated what they believed and that I'd have to talk to the owner (who was seldom available). So I just accepted the loss to avoid the time suck of having to deal with it. * Franchisee culture - the employees did not see empowered to make basic decisions when an issue came up. In every instance, employees deferred to the owner even when he was not available. It seemed he was the only representative that had the authority to address issues. * Some unprofessional staff - when I sought clarification on why my membership was not cancelled on the date I requested, a new manager behaved poorly. While she did not defer to the owner, she was not willing to understand the discrepancy or do the right thing by refunding the $59. Though I was disappointed, I kept my cool, refrained from raising my voice or using inappropriate language and did my best to treat a fellow human with dignity and respect. And after only a few quick minutes on the phone, she escalated the situation by yelling at me "don't call my front desk people" then she immediately hung-up the phone. It was not only unprofessional but it was inappropriate and unnecessary to escalate the situation and lose self-control like she did. The possessive language that she used to refer to the front desk staff also seemed strange to me. I haven't been back to this franchisee since April and do not intend to go back; thus a one star rating. To date, a representative of any organization has never treated me so poorly as a consumer. If that changes or if the franchisee attempts to resolve matters, I will change my review to reflect that. However, I have a feeling this review may live on for a long time. read more

Let me start out by saying I really wanted to like Amazing Lash Studio but after a year of crap I had to call it quits!!!!! I will tell you both the good and the bad. Bad: *inconsistency- every stylist applied the lashes differently which resulted in inconsistent look, application, length of service, and quality. *lashes fell out within a week many times. They always said it was my fault although I have had them done at other salons and never had that issue. One stylist admitted they changed glues and most people were experiencing that. *turnover-rarely was able to have the same stylist twice because they quit so frequently. In fact one stylist told me they all were leaving cause they were not paid well and treated poorly. *Rude front desk employees- consistently short, unprofessional, and whatever the issue was it was always my fault. *hard to get an appt. probably stemming from high turnover. I had my first ever lash extension experience today. When I entered the lobby it was so cute and contemporary and the receptionist is an absolute doll. She was the only one today who had exceptional customer service, I wish I would have gotten her name. I got all checked in and paperwork filled out and was waiting for my stylist to come out. They said I would be working with Patrice. When my stylist came out to get me she looked like she just rolled out of bed looked like she hated her job. When i entered the room, i stood there looking stupid with my purse in hand since she didn't offer me somewhere to hang my things until I started looking around the room. I stood there until she told me to sit. She barely uttered 2 words to me the whole time I was in the room with her, did not do a consultation to see what I was looking for , she simply had me look at the poster on the wall and asked me which one I want. My eyelashes did not turn out as expected but I think i may have had something in mind which was not doable. They are just very thin and I've done better at home. But this is no one's fault but my own, I must not have done my research. I went to check out and the owner john was at the front. I told him my lashes seemed thin and that I wasn't 100% satisfied with my first visit. He preceded to talk down to me and made me feel ridiculous for not being satisfied with the work. And honestly is was mostly the horrible customer service I got from my stylist Patrice. And pushiness of the owner before I left. I'm sure there are much better stylists there with more experience but for my first time there I was very disappointed. I doubt they do refunds. My 1 star is for the blonde receptionist . I had my lashes done about 2 weeks ago and 3 days in my right eye was losing a lot of lashes. I called about 2 days later to see if they could do anything about it because it hadn't even been a week since I had gotten them and they told me I had to pay to get a fill because I didn't call within the 2 days, apparently that's policy?? I got my eyelashes done here in March by Jemisha (sp?) and they looked amazing. It was my first time getting lash extensions and I wanted to look special on my wedding day. They came out beautiful, I think she did some combination of 2 different styles they offer. I was worried they'd look super thick and fake but they looked so real! I'm not sure how long these things are supposed to last, but they lasted for a solid 3 weeks before starting to fall out. After about 5 weeks is when they started to look scraggly and bother me, so I tried using oily makeup remove to get them off with little success. In short, here are the issues: * Multiple canceled appointments - oftentimes only days or hours before my appointment with no reason other than "we had a scheduling issue". I understand if this happens once or maybe even twice due to a sick staff member or something, but this has actually happened more than four times now and it is ridiculous. As a working professional who can only attend appointments on evenings and weekends, you cannot expect someone to just drop everything in their schedule the day of their appointment because your staff can't get it together. * Unprofessional front desk staff who don't understand the membership model or the business. * SO confusing to understand your account and membership. They do this on purpose so that you waste money. They really need an online account where you can login to make appointments with a preferred stylist and check on if you've used your fill within the last 30 days so that you're not double-paying for service. Overall, I do not recommend the Amazing Lash Maple Grove location. There are plenty of other places to go for eyelash extensions. I will be canceling my membership. read more

I tried to report him to multiple corporate offices but since it's a franchise they were unable to do anything to help. I also contacted BBB and they couldn't do anything either so this is my next step! He deserves to have his business shut down!! I've been going here since August. I had been pleased with my services up until the last month or so. My stylist has canceled on me the last time two times. First time, she was sick. Fine, it happens. Second time, I get a call 10 minutes prior to my appointment to which I'm only a block away to say my stylist is running behind and she can't get to me at all today. Really?! Who does that? Especially when I tip very well, never miss an appointment, and schedule in advance due to my busy schedule. Will try one more stylist and then I may very well cancel my membership. I have gone to this location a handful of times as I signed up for the membership, which allowed me to get much cheaper prices on fills. However, in this situation, you truly get what you pay for. I have had multiple occasions where I was scheduled for a fill, only to drive 30 minutes for the staff to tell me that they had messed up my appointment and I had to reschedule. Very unprofessional and a huge waste of my time. In addition to the poor service most of the time, the lashes themselves were less than ideal. I have left with lashes glued to my bottom lashes, red eyes (due to pulling and tugging in a manner that I have never experienced at any other location), unfinished sets with many lashes still unaccounted for, gaps, and lashes that didn't match on both eyes. I have always found the women doing my lashes to be very nice and pleasant people, however their work has left me unsatisfied for the complete duration of my time at this facility. Not great, couldn't open my left eye initially due to lashes stuck together, she hit my face with her little fan and said nothing, the little blades literally slapped across my face and she acted like it didn't even happen. Lashes are thicker on one eye, missed several spots. Overall second to worst experience I've ever had with lash extensions in my life. I walked in and studio was very high-end looking and made me feel like a movie star. Parking was terrible as the Maple Grove location requires you to paralell park. More parking is in the back, but very inconvenient. I was greeted with smiles from everyone. The customer service was excellent. My lashes were full, beautiful and glamorous. I tried them for the first time and thought maybe this is something I could get into. Unfortunately for me, they just didn't work out well. I just didn't like them. I wouldn't have liked them wherever I went, so the reason was not with Amazing Lash Studio - it was just with the fiberous material on lashes, itself. Again, the issue I had was not with the lovely professional tech or Amazing Lash at all! The glue was super strong and my lashes remained for a very, very long period of time! If you decide to get lashes to try, I would highly recommend Amazing Lash Studio in Maples Grove! After my lashes didn't work out, I had called the studio to let them know that they aren't working out for me. You might be required to sign-up for monthly payments at a very low price of $49.99 or there may be a new price of 59.99. This is indeed a great price for lashes per month! I had called the studio about 3 days after and asked them to cancel my monthly dues of 49.99 because the lashes weren't working out for me. They told me they cancelled verbally over the phone. (I would suggest they send you an email confirming that they cancelled!) Unfortunately it took me 5 months to figure out that they hadn't cancelled my monthly dues (which was my fault.) I called the studio and they immediately took action! The owner, John, called me back several times to reassure the discrepancy and was very pleasant to make the necessary refunds eventhough they had no record that I had called to cancel 3 days after my original lashes. I was very happy that he was able to refund all of the months except one. I was happy with the customer service when I called and John was super nice and understanding. If you're nice to him; he is nice to you! If you are upset (with any establishment), just give them a chance. If my attitude was poor, this might have been a different story, but be nice; this gets you much further in life! He resolved my issue immediately and I was a happy customer! I would recommend that if you aren't happy with your lashes (for whatever reason; but you may absolutely love them too), that if you want to cancel your monthly payments, just go into the studio instead of calling; this might help alleviate any confusion on the cancellation! I do hope that if you choose Amazing Lash Studio that you love your lashes. The monthly payment of 49.99 (or maybe there's a new monthly payment of 59.99), is actually a really good deal and I would have kept going back if I had loved my lashes. Give em a try! read more

I don't normally write reviews but I have to this time. I made an appointment for new lashes and asked for fuller lashes and got butterfly wings and up-charged me $24 without telling me. I didn't know what ti say so left. I called the next day and was told they would correct and to come in at 2:30 and they would also refund me the extra charge. Ok so far so good.......I get to the salon and the person I was told was going to do the correction no longer works there. I am then told the girl that will now make the corrections has another client but they would try to push her appointment. The girl removes the lashes and them Lorna, the lady who scheduled me, opens the door and tells me I have to leave and come back in am hour because her next appointment is there. I said laying on the table you have to be kidding me and she said no I am not! This lady scheduled both of these appointments and didn't seem concerned about customer service.
