Not bad of a location for vegetarian food as there are a few options. They are probably known for their alcohol selection since they have a nice bar. Staff knows English so that was really helpful. Food selection seems really healthy, but with small portion sizes. In terms of food, we ordered the following: 1. Baked sweet potato, coastal chile tahini and hard-boiled egg 2. Roasted vegetables and poached egg (1) was actually quite good. Crunchy, sweet, but a small portion size. I'd order this again if I were to return. (2) simple, roasted veggies with a poached egg in the middle. small portion size again. Service: The staff was very kind and helped us with choosing our options. He iterated multiple times to make sure that we were okay with the ingredients. Service alone deserves a star. Again, probably a good place for the bar, but food wise might be limited for vegetarians.

WOW Typical Mexico ... they can make even the most simplest thing amazing ! Sat el fresco in a quaint side street setting , steps from the frenetic Paseo Reforma. Service was totally attentive and English spoken with no problem. I had the pork sausage & potato salad - very tasty ! And the cinnamon cake for dessert - WOW! Extraordinary But the best part of it all was my tab Only $45 usd for all of it including 2 great glasses of wine . Highly recommend.

Ceviche tostada

Came here based on watching "Somebody Feed Phil" and therefore had high expectations. Overall the service and food was pretty good especially the ceviche tostada and the fried cauliflower and broccoli was delicious. However the homemade pasta with shrimp, soft shell crab, and squid entree we ordered did not come with any crab or squid. It only had shrimp which was super disappointing since it wasn't as listed on the menu. Taste wise it was just an okay dish, tasting more of Asian lo mein than Italian pasta.

Ceviche tostadas were great. We had braised lamb and fish with huitlacoche broth both main courses were top notch. Service was fantastic. One of the best meals we had in CDMX, which is saying something.

Pesto pasta and bread (background: burger, chicken sausage with potato salad)

The food here is very delicious and made a lasting impression. Even the simplest of dishes seems to be elevated or edited in some small way to become gourmet excellence. You can enjoy good cuisine in a pretty casual yet trendy environment. I got the pesto pasta and I was not disappointed. It was very filling and had great, fresh flavor. Plus, with a side of fresh made bread to soak up the leftover pesto- you can't beat it! They offer indoor seating or a few outdoor tables on the street, which can get a little loud with the traffic driving by. But overall, it was a wonderful experience and not too expensive considering how full I was afterwards. If you even want to just come here for some drinks with friends, they have a beautiful bar area and an extensive drinks menu. Loved the neighborhood, loved the vibes, 10/10 would visit again! :)

Great small plates to share. Soft shell crab was amazing. Fun atmosphere. Very attentive staff but very busy

Soft shell crab with beef tartar and butternut squash soup

Fantastic. We had the butternut squash soup with chunks of squash included. Seasoned with fennel and other spices. Delicious. Next we had the soft shell crab with beef tratar. The crab was deep fried perfectly and the tartar compliments it perfectly. Next we had the homemade fettuccine with beef ragú. The fettuccine was smothered in a braised beef sauce. Lastly and the best was the pannacotta Perfectly set with an amazing sherbet type of topping.

Came here for dinner at the bar and man the food is good. Ordered a soft shell crab along with sausage and potato salad. My friend got the gnocchi which was super good too. All of the food tasted fresh and can't say that one of the dishes was a clear winner for favorite that night. They each had something we liked. I'd make reservations if you can unless you don't mind chancing it with bar seating.

Ohhhh man!!! Muy delicioso!! We just saw this on Somebody Feed Phil and had to come. We came and it was so calm and not too crowded. Our host was one of the best I've met anywhere. Very knowledgeable of the food and spoke great English in addition to Spanish. We had the amazing soft shell crab and the braised lamb. Please please please try these dishes if you're in the area. This is one for the books. An absolute must for Mexico City.

Another AMAZING local real Mexican restaurant. We made reservations and on a cold Monday night the place was packed. That is such a good sign. WE sat by the giant window and it was full of smilles and laughter. So we ordered way too much but had to have it all. The soft sHell ctabs were Perfect and maybe rice flour cooked in ? It was crispy . Then the fish tostada again two of them so good. Thenn toasted corn ! Sooooo good and flavorful and none of it was insane Spicey. Roasted chicken and cooked wiith small potatoes and carrots and a light brown gravy. Finally desert Pistachio strawberry crumble aooooo good. A special Shout out to IVAN our server he made all the specIal requests happen and was so friendly and made the best reccomondations.

Soft Shelled Crab

Very small menu but everything here is absolutely well thought out and delicious which I'd choose any day over an extensively complex menu. I'm still daydreaming about the soft shelled crab.

The best place I ate at in Mexico City. The food was unbelievable. My favorite of the items we ordered was the corn salad. It was warm and filling. It had the best flavor. The restaurant was decorated beautifully and surprisingly empty! The service was amazing and I can't wait for my next visit to Mexico so I can come back here.

A salad. Its good. We ate everything else else too fast so this is all u will see

Try the beef ragú. It is amazing and special. Wasn't too excited for the chicken was a tad dry, but the ragú was the star of the show.

We…read moreopted for an outdoor table and experienced the most prompt and attentive service of our entire visit to Mexico City. The offerings at Romelia are comprehensive to say the least. We started with some delicious croquettes, followed by jamon iberico on toast, spicy charred pulpo, and finally two orders of tacos -- prawn and ribeye. Each dish was superb. The pulpo was expertly charred, and the flesh as tender as a gentle summer kiss. The tacos, which are made completely from scratch in house, embodied many of the rich flavors that make Mexico City one of the world's greatest culinary destinations. Even the side dish of butter we requested was exceptional; it tasted as if an abuela in the countryside had awoken early that same morning to milk her lone grass-fed cow and gently churn it just for our visit. We opted for a bottle of Toro (~$960?) to accompany our feast, which we regarded as a sensational value. It accompanied the food perfectly. In addition to his outstanding service timings, our waiter was kind, conscientious, and particularly patient with our subpar Spanish skills. Sometimes in life, happy accidents happen. This was one such occasion. We were very pleased to discover Romelia, and hope that we can experience it many more times during future visits to this great city.

The grilled octopus was amazingly tender and fresh, one of the best in all of Mexico so far. The Patatas Bravas were too covered in paprika to taste much else, so for me they're a skip. The pan con tomato (tomato toast) was also not great as the bread got soggy quickly and there was some odd taste. Not bad by any means, just not the best I've had. All in all though, Id return in a heartbeat as the vibe is so chill and pleasant and given how amazing the octopus was, I'd like to try even more off their menu.

I was captivated by the warm, eclectic ambiance--shelves stacked with old books, cozy little crannies, and fascinating antique items tucked into every corner. It felt like stepping into a hidden gem where every detail added to the charm. I ordered the As de Corazones, a gin-based cocktail with raspberry, egg white foam, and a spritz finish. It was hands-down the best cocktail I had in CDMX--beautifully balanced, slightly tart, and perfectly smooth. I also tried the Josita, which was incredibly refreshing (and deceptively strong!), making it the perfect drink to sip on while soaking in the atmosphere. Service was friendly and attentive, with bartenders who clearly know their craft. Whether you're a cocktail lover or just looking for a great spot to unwind, Pata Negra is a must-visit. (I even went back as a goodbye to CDMX on my last night)

They had a few TVs with some sports on which is why we chose this place. Service was friendly, and quick to take your initial order but after that it was kinda hard to order a second or third drink you really had to flag them down. We came back on a second visit and they were out of some of the beers we ordered the previous visit. On the plus side the beers were ice cold. Much colder than out of the refrigerator which made it so easy to drink.
