I had the classic pan de muerto and it was so fluffy with a beautiful orange zest. The cinnamon roll was divine. I wasn't sure about it at first because it's not warmed up but it didn't need to be. It was so soft and gooey on the inside. Normally when cinnamon rolls cool off, they're hard and not as good when they're served fresh. But these hold up very well. It's the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. The canela (cinnamon) was delicious. I had the chilaquiles verdes with two scrambled eggs and my husband had the same with three over easy eggs. We asked the server if the salsa was spicy because we like a good kick. She mentioned they weren't spicy but she brought us chile de arbol salsa on the side so we could add for a little kick. The green salsa is quite flavorful. We really enjoyed this dish. Eggs were cooked to perfection. The water is at the table at is infused with rosemary. It looks pretty but it was almost too infused. When my partner approached the counter, she asked for two café lattes. The woman who took her order, did not speak much English at all. But the problem that I have is that we sat there for about 20 minutes and watched other people come in, order and receive their orders in minutes. So of course, as we're seeing people come in and out with their orders completed (and we're still sitting there), we're wondering what's going on. As such, my partner went to the counter to inquire about where the lattes were. And when she did, there was no reason given as to why we didn't receive the lattes. Instead, we got handed two shots of espresso. We didn't order that. And what made it worse is that when my partner approached the counter, the same worker who knew fluent English and explained it to his coworker earlier, still handed my partner to espresso knowing she didn't order that. It's like he couldn't be bothered to actually give us what we ordered. I'm not sure how to café lattes turned into two espressos, especially when you know English, and you repeated it back to the original woman who took the order. Not only that, to hand us two espressos, which absolutely don't take 20 to 25 minutes to make makes even less sense. Not only did you disregard our original order, it appeared that you were never going to service us at all. Had my partner not gone back to the counter to inquire, we wouldn't even gotten shots of espressos; that we never asked for. Out of all the businesses that I have patronized, knowing little Spanish and being totally respectful, this service was poor. Based on that, when back in Mexico City, we won't be coming back or recommending this place.

We ended up getting: Grande Lechero, $54 MXN ($3.13 USD)- Large size coffee with milk. When our server brought over my husband's drink, she made a grand show of pouring the milk up high into my husband's coffee. I just wished I had gotten a video of it but it was definitely very fun to watch. My husband said his coffee was good (I didn't have any because I am not much of a coffee drinker). Combo 1 with Grande chocolate drink, $155 MXN ($8.98 USD)- So this combination comes with 4 large pieces of churros, 1 dip of your choice and also a chocolate drink. I don't know if this was the best churro that I have ever had, but it is definitely one of the top ones I have ever had. We waited less than 10 minutes for everything. Also credit card is accepted so my husband paid (We have the Costco Visa credit card which does not have a foreign transaction fee, which we used exclusively when we were not paying cash). Our server brought a card reader machine to our table when we were ready to pay (for those of you unaware, in Mexico, you will not be brought your check until you ask for it because it is considered rude to give it to you beforehand, assuming that you are being rushed). They had a pretty good crowd, that's when I noticed it was a churro shop and it was called El Moro. During my weeklong trip to Mexico City I ended up visiting this shop multiple times during all different times of the day and evening. This business I found out later has multiple locations and is one of the most famous churro shops in all of Mexico City. I really enjoyed them so much-their churros are made fresh all day I liked that this location was super clean and had plenty of tables to sit to enjoy your freshly made churros and coffee drinks. Speaking of coffee drinks, they have excellent coffee as many a mornings on this trip started with coffee from El Moro. Their churros are very inexpensive as they run about 16 pesos($0.95 USD) each.So we always grabbed a few every visit. The churros had a really good size to them and were just doused in cinnamon and sugar-they tasted perfect both sweetness level and texture-wise. I generally always ordered Americanos which ran 55 pesos($3.25 USD) Not the best value in the world but good enough/they matched up well with the fresh churros.
