Happily Jo Karen seems to be committed to finding lingerie for ALL women. I am happy to say that even at my age (67) I finally found a bra that is perfect - comfortable and perfectly proportioned for my frame. While I came to this shop for a bra - I left with many other items that I found would fit - slips, panties, etc. I also have ordered some of these items in other colors which they are happy to do by phone. Despite…read morehaving appt for "fitting", when I entered store another customer came in after, who received hearty greeting and spent time talking about her home renovations with 2nd sales person supposed to take my appt, while I stood waiting to be acknowledged by 2nd sales person. Even after first nice sales person told her I was waiting. Was given a bra that didn't fit, at all. Person supposed to take care of my appt continued to other dressing room to 2nd customer while I as trying one on. Think because I showed up in jeans and tee, not dressed up, she didn't realize was about to drop cashola to get right products. First sales person tried to convince me to stay (she was very nice), but, was miffed how 2nd sales person supposed to help with my first time ever appt, didn't handle. Won't waste time going back. Didn't mind waiting a few minutes, but being ignored, didn't make good impression, especially when ready to make investment.

I stood near the dressing room for a good five minutes, watching all of the employees chit chat by the register. I just went in and tried the stuff on without "permission," which I hope was OK! But come on, 3 of you near the register and no help? I then noticed multiple customers asking about a sale they thought may be going on. They were all asking if LOFT was having a "40% off your entire purchase" sale. The girls at the register barked that only sale items were 40% off. I noticed a sign that must have been left by accident that said "40% off your entire purchase" instead of "40% off sale items" like it should have. I politely pointed it out to a girl who was no more than 18- she stared at me and goes, "what?" Basic customer service tip- NEVER say that! It sounds so rude. Then finally, an absolutely adorable, energetic, and helpful blonde girl in her late 20s came out and thanked me for noticing and went to fix it immediately. We talked to for awhile; she is the exception to my bad experiences there. She embodies what a LOFT employee should be like, hire more people like her, LOFT Acton! Additionally, I wanted to exchange a pair of pants for a different color after I got home. I called and they refused to check if they had the tan ones in my size. From our first meeting, I was confident that Seema would help me select the perfect attire for both evenings. She had an excellent sense of the colours and fabrics that would best suit me, and although I presented her with a challenging timeline, she assured me her seamstress would have my saree blouse ready, with time for adjustments if needed. Her collection is beautiful - my husband was very impressed with the quality of her sarees, and I received countless compliments on my attire and bangles from family, friends and strangers! It was a gorgeous wedding, and in a "sea of beautiful sarees" her (my!) saree was a standout. If you're looking for a wonderful selection of beautiful fabrics and original designs, Choonri Collection will not disappoint. No need to shop around - Seema Kapoor's designs stand head and shoulders above all the others. I look forward to my next visit.

Bassy saved my wedding dress and my wedding day!…read more I had originally gone to another tailor recommended by the boutique where I purchased my strapless princess gown. Unfortunately, the work done at the other tailor's shop left my dress butchered. When I realized something was wrong with the original tailoring, it was two months before my wedding. I was distraught because I didn't think a new tailor would take me due to the limited time before my wedding and it being right before bridal and prom season. However, someone recommended I contact Bassy and I'm so grateful for their rec! Bassy listened to my concerns regarding my dress and what the other tailor had planned to do to it, advised me to take back my dress straight away, and booked me for an appointment ASAP. Within a week Bassy had me in her shop to assess all the damage that had been done by the previous tailor: (1) the hem was uneven by inches; (2) the train was lopsided; (3) the bustle was just a loop and a button that would be visible and unsecure; (4) the bodice was taken in so much that three people were needed to zip me up, which (5) left the zipper of my dress straining and puckering; (6) so much of the bust was trimmed away that my chest was exposed whenever I moved; and (7) they made a sash instead of the custom shawl I ordered for my ceremony. The worst part about the original tailoring work is that so much fabric was cut away there was barely any fabric left to correct the shoddy work. My dress was in really horrible shape and I knew I wouldn't be able to find or order another dress in time for my wedding. Despite the multiple problems with my dress, Bassy assured me she would find solutions for the above issues and she did! Bassy evened out the dress' hem by rehemming it and removing a portion of its petticoat to ensure it kissed the floor evenly. For the train, she adjusted it so it would be symmetrical and less oblong. It looked gorgeous trailing behind me as I walked down the aisle. The bodice was a tricky fix, but Bassy executed it perfectly! To expand the bodice, she needed extra fabric and found it within the seam allowance of the bodice's panels. She undid every panel, let out a little bit of fabric from each, and carefully stitched the bodice back up so that each panel was even and proportional. She was able to expand the bodice while also making it look like it hadn't been deconstructed. Bassy's work allowed me to properly breath while wearing my dress and my mother was able to zip me up by herself with no trouble! Bassy also created a custom shawl for me that looked like something Audrey Hepburn would wear! The attention to detail is so incredible! Bassy made the shawl so there was a slight curve in the front that elegantly hugs my collar bone. I love this shawl so much I plan to continue wearing it for special events. The most incredible fix Bassy made to my dress is the bust. I thought I'd have to wear my shawl the entire wedding. Instead, she came up with the incredible idea to build up the bust of my dress with additional fabric. The original bust had a cat eye neckline with draping across it. Bassy was able to expand the bust above my chest and next to my underarms to give me more coverage. She did this by building up fabric that mimics the original bustline's shape. The final result is beautiful! No one would ever know that the work Bassy did was not part of the dress' original design. I'm incredibly grateful for the amazing and transformative work Bassy did to my dress, her professionalism, her expert advice, and her direct and honest communication. She always set realistic expectations and provided alternative solutions that would not compromise the integrity of my dress or its overall style. Bassy is also just a lovely person to be around. I was really sad about the state my dress was left in by the previous tailor. With each visit to Bassy's (and she booked me for as many as needed to get my dress perfect), I felt better and more confident. Bassy saved my dress, my wedding, and my peace of mind. The last few times we have come here my wife had been able to find a few different outfits with little hassle and no headaches. The staff here is incredible polite and the selection is great.
