I finally got energy efficient windows for my house!! It's been a long time coming, especially since I don't have an AC at my house. I know, how could I not have an AC living in the valley? But I don't. I had single pane crappy aluminum windows and it would get really hot in my house during the summer and really cold during the winter. I'll tell you right now that it makes a world of a difference since I've replaced my windows. The house definitely feels cooler. I had no idea windows could really change the look of a home. It makes it look 100x better and also reduce outside noise. I had the company Sureguard Windows install my windows. The worst customer service I have experienced. Our windows were due over 2 weeks ago and we have called and left over a dozen messages for Carly since the company's phone is forwarded to her cell during the pandemic. I may post another review once we receive our windows, if we ever receive them because based on Carly's attitude in handling our request for status on our order they could have taken our money and ran. We don't know. We will give the company the benefit of the doubt in case Carly is just one bad apple. Today was the first day we decided to drive from Los Angeles to speak to someone since Carly doesn't return our calls and we were told that we would get a call back in an hour. We never did so we have put it on our schedule to drive to their facilities every day since leaving a message for Carly is a waste of time. read more

Another extremely unprofessional place of business. Save your money and go somewhere else. Jerry was supposed to come to our house to fix a broken glass door. He was supposed to come in the morning, but he didn't. My mom called him and he said he would come at night time instead. My mom likes to believe in things called second chances and what not so she waited for him. Around 6PM he still hasn't showed up so she calls him and this time I take over the phone call. He tells me that he can come by after 7:30 because he's waiting on his son? Or someone. I'm not clear who and I honestly don't care. Nope. Didn't show up. My mom feels the need to help others and give business to those who need the money. So she talked to him again and he told us he WANTED to come and he wanted OUR BUSINESS. She told him that if he didn't want to do it, it's fine, she can go somewhere else, but if he wanted to do it then he needs to come. UPDATED REVIEW - ALL IS BETTER NOW! First heard about Anamar from an episode of 'Flip or Flop'. I originally posted a not-so-good review of this company, due to lack of follow-up when I first inquired about getting 3 sliders for my remodel. They have since done everything possible to fix the situation, and I now have my three large sliders installed, and they are great. Anna at their office was very helpful after the initial review was posted. I wanted someone to come out and measure, to double check my measurements, and it happened that their subcontractor installer Lee was in the area. Lee came by and checked the measurements. After some delay by me, I was finally ready to order. The manufacturing took a couple weeks. Lee and his assistant came and installed the doors, and they are great! (Both Lee, and the doors, that is.) The doors look fantastic, they slide like they are on high grade ball bearings (very smoothly), and close like an airplane door. Very sound-proof as well. Lee and his helper did a great job installing (I helped with the demo), and even cleaned up beautifully afterward, including glass cleaner on all the glass areas of the sliders. Being a manufacturer, they are a little more geared toward builders/designers, or advanced do-it-yourselfers who are more knowledgeable/experienced than the average consumer. As I'm a builder, I greatly prefer to do most of the homework (and some of the actual work) myself and save tons of money by working directly with manufacturers, like Anamar, wherever possible. All in all, a great experience with Anamar, and I will definitely use them for my next remodel!!! read more

I don't know where to begin! AnaMar windows has the best price and service of any window company in LA. I use them to convert windows in my old apartment buildings. They came out and measured, gave me a quote, and built the window in less than 2 weeks! Other companies quoted me a month. After his initial visit, he strung me along for a month with promises each week to come and do the work at the house. He Never came. I even asked him if he was not interested so that I could contact another company, but he insisted that he wanted to do the work, therefore I respected and honored his response. this company is a JOKE!!!! First they can't follow directions, instead of making a custom doogie door in the glass slider they put it in the screen door. Anyone that has a dog can tell you that's dumb! When the dog runs through it they take the door off with them. So they were supposed to replace it, this has taken 2 months! So I have to leave my house open and unlocked while gone so my dogs can go out. If I get robbed I'll blame this company! Anna set an appointment with me to replace this door on a thurs in late July. No One ever showed up! I called and no one seemed to know anything about me or my delivery. I called the Window design group that hired these idiots to install for them they got me another date 2 weeks later than first appointment, today Aug 7 from 10-12. Surprise it's 1:30 and no one has shown up again!! I called two times today and Anna is conveniently busy. She told the girl to tell me drivers on the way that was at 12, didn't give me a time frame or even come to the phone herself. So an hour and a half later I call back same deal shes busy, I'm sitting on hold for 15 min now. REALLY??? WORST SERVICE EVER!!! Don't use this company! Ok, so I needed a custom window and quick! I called several places one told me $175.00 for a 24x12 window and two weeks for delivery! The other place was with a customer and didn't have time for me. I found Anamar totally by accident! We were driving down Greenwood and my wife says hey look call them and I did. Each of the past 3 years, the reviews with regards to customer service with this company get worse. The pricing is very competitive, but the customer service and installation remarks from previous clients is a big concern. I provided the reason to the sales rep for why I was going with another company, and he didn't even deny or defend comments written by their customers. We found this place through my friend. I got a decent price on 10 windows and sliding door. However the caveat is that there is a need for more communication between the sales and installers and consumer. We ordered the windows after they beat other estimates. We were impressed how fast they made the windows for our home once the payment stuff got taken care of. Within like 2 weeks the order was ready and job began. Our first round was good; however I noticed the windows we got the first day were not what we'd ordered. Our installer thought we wanted block type windows but didn't know we wanted the security bars removed and had selected a different window. I was stressed now that I had to hire contractor to cut off exterior windowsills, restucco etc. That made me wonder now what was up with this project. After a few phone conversation with my husband and the salesperson, The issue was resolved quickly and my husband communicated. They quickly ordered the right type of window and rescheduled to install the windows within 7 days. I was not keen on taking more time off work; however it was going to have to happen. I think that first day/incident left a feeling of distrust and miscommunication. I was really scared the second order was going to be wrong also. I didn't have a picture to see what they were making now. So I had to have faith in them. I was not there on the 2nd day when they came back out. My husband had stayed home. I arrived home to find the windows put in, but they were not completely done (Husband didn't notice they were not finished) I was now worried that the new window style was going to require me to hire someone to redo the windowsill etc. The window was not finished--maybe if the installer explains to the homeowners like 'hey I'll fill this in tomorrow...' or something to create peace of mind. It was late in the evening so I couldn't get an answer from them st that hour. That whole night I was anxious and felt uneasy that we were getting bad work (in my mind). The next day the installer arrived and that was my first question to him. He then explained what was next and that no the windows would not be left unfinished on the inside of the house. Thank God. They required a weathering foam thing and wood to finish the sills. I was calmed after that. They were careful to remove the security bars and shutters off the house and did the finishing work like sealing,etc well. Day 3 was the largest part of the work (sliding door). They removed everything again carefully and installed a wonderful new door. Boy do these windows cut out noise and make the view out to my garden look great! Super happy. What I really got mad about was that the installers did their work and did not put up plastic or tarp to block out the large amount of fine dust. It went EVERYWHERE in my small house! My whole place was covered in fine white dust from them grinding metal, wood, old paint what have you. It was on my black couches in the family/kids playroom, all over the tv, walls in different rooms, picture frames, dinning room table, floors, kitchen cabinets....everywhere. I was livid on a Friday night because I now had to spend hours cleaning this up. It was especially upsetting since my house was cleaned the day before in the other rooms they'd worked on. My husband right away communicated this to our salesperson Stacy. She apologized and asked if we wanted the crew back out. She explained that windows are a home renovation and one should expect that. I get that there may be some dust...in the room the work is done, not all over the house. I had to wash all the bed sheets, throws, wipe down walls, mop floors, dust all furniture, vacuum couches...after a long day at work on a Friday. I didn't want my small children inhaling the dust. I realize it is a renovation but I guess I also expect professionalism to reduce dust particles all over the house. I highly recommend the installers should have plastic coverings or whatever to seal one area from another to contain the mess. I don't know, just my personal thought. Again the windows look great, the price is right, but 2 things I seriously feel need improvement is the communication aspect to ensure the order is done right with a visual picture so everyone is clear in what is to be delivered. We had selected the windows in the showroom so when we got a different window we were confused as to what we were going to get. It just avoids extra costs, time, effort for everyone involved. The other area I definitely recommend is that the workers bring materials to cover/protect/seal off areas that are not part of the project. All that said, again our windows look great, our installers were really good/nice, but the experience was stressfull. I'm sure all home repairs are stressful. I just recommend those 2 things so that they are the BEST at what they do. I would recommend them just iron out the details ahead of time and cover up. read more

If there was a zero star option, I would definitely award this company with it. I am a general contractor, and have worked with many window companies. This is by far the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. A client of mine had purchased all his windows for his house from these people a year ago. Unfortunately his house was burglarized, leaving him with 2 broken windows. I called Anamar and tried to set up an appointment so that someone would come out. First I was told that someone would get back to me. After 4 days had passed, I called again, and the lady that answered told me that the lady who goes out to measure was not in and would call back. I waited another 3 days and still no call back. I called Anamar again and set up yet a third appointment. And guess what what, they never called back. After 5 calls over 2 weeks, they finally connected me to Stacey, the person who comes out to measure. I explained to her the frustration I am having with the company and she assured me that she would be out that following Monday between 11am and 1 pm personally and make all the necessary measurements. Well, today is Monday and no one showed up. Wasn't surprised at all, but disgusted with the customer service. Absolute garbage. I called again, and related my frustration, but no one seemed to care. Now your probably asking yourself why didn't I just hire another window contractor. The answer is simple. As I stated earlier, my client had recently changed all his windows to a specific Anamar window and did not want to have different types of windows with different styles next to each other, so we were kind of stuck using these guys. So I called them prior to writing this review to give them one last chance. I asked for the owner. The lady that answered Laila or something like that, refused to give me his email. I asked for his voicemail and she stated he does not have one. All I wanted to do was to inform the owner that he has major issues in regards to his business, and that I am sure I am not the only one receiving the absolute worst service. We had an issue with the installation of window screen installed by Jerry. The frame was buckled and the screen was torn. After many attempts to contact Jerry (without success) I reached out to this company to express my dissatisfaction with the work performed. After reading some reviews it appears that Jerry is a customer that installs AnaMar Windows. The issue I have is that Jerry represents himself as a AnaMar employee. He uses their address as his location of his company. I sent a message through the website and quickly received a reply back. I was told that even though Anamar did not install the windows, they did stand by their products and would make the necessary repairs. I was given a couple of dates and was asked to provide details of the problem and the location of the house. That was the last time I heard back. I sent a follow up email without a reply. read more

AnaMar is hands down the best. As a contractor I highly recommend Anamar for all windows and doors. We flip between 17-20 homes a month so cost, quality and production time is always considerations we look for in a resource. Anamar has always exceeded our expectations. The staff is very knowledgeable and always helpful. I recently went in with a window we had broken and was in a bit of a rush. Even though the production crew was at lunch one of the shop foreman came out, looked at the issue and told me he would have it fixed in less than an hour. True to his word I came back in an hour and the window was repaired. Since they are a manufacturer everything is done in-house. When we place an order for windows and doors for a complete house they can usually put the order into production and have them ready for installation in 3-5 days.
