I work in Ivyland and ordered the vodka rigatoni from Amalio's Pizza and Pasta for lunch for lunch today -- and wow. You can absolutely tell the rigatoni is homemade; it practically melts in your mouth. The vodka sauce was unbelievable -- rich, creamy, and perfectly textured, clinging to each piece of pasta. The hint of crushed tomatoes blended beautifully with the cheese and fresh parsley. Hands down one of the best lunches I've had in a long time. I ordered a chicken cheesesteak and fries with Door Dash. They were both cold. The cheesesteak was soggy. I had already had chicken cheesesteak a few weeks prior with Door Dash and it was really good Last week I tried to place an order directly with the store but a recording said to order with the Slice app. I ordered their chicken alfredo for 21.95. However you had to choose the sauce for an additional $3.95. Also I got mushrooms for $1. I order garlic knots for 50 cents but they gave me a loaf of garlic bread which was burnt for an additional $5.00. My bill was over $31 and there was no chicken on the chicken alfredo. I called then to advise all these mistakes. They offered to remake it and/or adjust my bill when I came into the store again. ???? They told me they had new staff who was not sure how to enter my order. They have lots to improve upon. I don't live in that area but my son does. I won't be going back regardless. Also by the way the cheesesteak was $21.95 which is a lot for a cheesesteak. I hope they figure out their business. read more

There are no seats for,people to wait for their order. I ordered a chicken cheese steak. It had enough meat for 4 sandwiches. I tried to eat it, got on my kitchen floor, my chair and my rug aunt all over me. I had to change my clothes. Also it was on a seeded roll, some people cannot have seeds. What a surprise from what appears to be a tiny pizza shop hidden away in what appears to be just a Weiss supermarket. Tucked in at the end of the strip is Amalio's - not just a pizza shop but Italian food that rivals any Italian restaurant I've been to. Rich, thick tomato sauce with just the right amount tang, crispy juicy cutlet topped with creamy melted mozzarella. The generous portion of parm is accompanied by homemade pasta of your choice. Probably one of the best chicken parm's I have had. Unfortunately as outstanding as the food was the service was drastically subpar. We sat invisible as we waited to put in our drink order, than more as we waited over 10 minutes to get our order taken. Sophie our server was very rushed and possibly overwhelmed but not so much that she didn't have time to sit and chat with another table. It was abundantly clear that regulars were the priority here as Sophie wasn't the only one passing us by time after time as plate after plate was served to others as we sat invisible. Finally our food arrived delivered by kitchen staff. If my rating were for the food alone no doubt Amalio's would receive a 5* review, but unfortunately the service left us feeling like an imposition rather than a welcomed guest. We are hoping this was just an unlucky fluke and will give it another try someday because food of this level deserves matching quality in service. read more

But I'm coming to this review to tell you about the service, DoorDash messed things up, they (Amalio's) made it right. , They actually apologize to me because they were afraid to lose a customer for someone else's mistake. No way. Yes I know some of you will say how dare they outsource delivery to DoorDash. But that's the world we live in now. I don't begrudge them. They probably wouldn't deliver 30 minutes away if it was all in house. The best of you I can give is that if DoorDash stopped delivering their service, I would drive myself 30+ minutes to pick up food from them because they are better than anything close. read more

We started our meal with the Hot Honey Pizza, which comes topped with pepperoni, hot honey, and grated reggiano. We added ricotta cheese to ours, and wow, what an incredible choice! When I asked about which pasta was freshest, our server went to check with the kitchen and came back to let me know it was linguine that day, an impressive level of service. The chicken cutlets were huge, and the vodka sauce was outstanding: creamy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The fresh linguine had that tender-yet-firm texture that makes homemade pasta so special. My son ordered the Chicken Marsala with spaghetti and really enjoyed it. He said the Marsala wine sauce had great flavor, and again, the portion size was generous enough that he couldn't quite finish it. The new dining area is spacious, beautifully designed, and creates a comfortable atmosphere whether you're there for a family dinner or a casual night out. The service was excellent! Attentive without being overbearing, and our drinks were always refilled quickly. A quick tip: they do charge a small additional fee if you pay with a credit card (I believe around 3%), so I recommend bringing cash to avoid that extra charge. There's also plenty of parking, making it convenient and stress-free to visit. Overall, Amalio's Pizza & Pasta is a gem. The calzone was good. When we got the check, we noticed we were charged 75 cents for fried onions on the cheesesteak. Fried onions should be included on a Philly Cheesesteak (wit or without). I stopped here for lunch after seeing a review on Instagram. It's an unassuming place in a strip mall. But the food is awesome. I got the meatball sub. The meatballs were delicious, the sauce is light but flavorful and the roll was perfect. My daughter got the cheesesteak, which was equally as good. We got a pizza to go -- the Drunken Grandma. Sat down and waited for 7 min no one came to serve us or even bring menus over, we get up to leave and the staff says have a good one, not begging you to run us down but it was really odd and not polite. Upon reading the other reviews the owner should focus on getting competent staff and not a bunch of 13 year olds standing around having side convos. I went to Amalios the first week they opened. It was the best pizza I had in the area since Dino's closed. Went back a couple weeks later and had a convo with the owner telling her I was torn between wanting to tell people and keeping it a hidden secret so that they weren't overwhelmed and the quality would suffer. After that visit, I have yet to have a descent pizza from them. Tonight I decided to try again. I ordered a drunken grandma pie. What I got was an over done, with hard dark brown crust and a sloppy mess. I know someone there knows how to make an amazing pizza. I wish I knew who that was and when they work. read more

Quite good for shopping center Italian. Always like a nice byob italian spot. No complaints other than the side salad which was small and pretty generic as you can tell in picture. The drunken chicken parm was very good and very large (drunken = vodka sauce). Service was good. The included breadsticks and garlic knots were also satisfying. Service was a disaster After 1 hour of ordering my pizza and paid for takeout I went to the restaurant and was told another few minutes .15 minutes later I said I was going home. We have been hearing great things about this place from a few people so we decided to check it out and we are glad we did! It is a very nice , clean casual place with excellent food. The service was great , our server Bella was very nice and attentive.The chicken Parmesan was top notch , nice portion and the red sauce was fabulous. I ordered baked rigatoni but switched to the special of the day , asparagus sautéed with shallots, shrimp and crab meat in a Rosa sauce over penne. I am really glad I switched my order as I really enjoyed the dish, the crab meat really worked well with the Rosa sauce. I will definitely be looking forward to trying the baked rigatoni and lasagna in the future. Definitely want to try a Stromboli and cheesesteak on the liscios seeded roll. Called on Friday to request reservation for 7 people by front window, the owner himself told us you don't need reservations for that time. The previous week they took our reservation, so this was confusing. We arrived and seen two empty tables with reserved reservations placards on table. THIS annoyed us, but we took seats where they placed us. Then two of us ordered Lasagna for dinner, they were out. Waitress told us he makes it by the pan and there was none prepared. The rolls they brought to the table was UN-eatable as they were hard as rocks. ON, the plus side, other meals ordered were good, service very good, but its the little things that sets you apart with customer service. Being told no reservations when obviously you still take them is one of the little things that drives some customers away and serving bread that you cannot eat. Checked out Amalio's Pizza & Pasta today with my wife for a little lunch. The slices were excellent, decent size and had great flavor. They needed no seasoning. The steak had good flavor but I would have preferred a much more creamy cheese integrated through the meat and a bit more heavy handed with the amount. The roll was excellent. This is a follow up from my second visit. It was just as good as the first time. I had a large delicious Caesar Salad with chicken. I took half of it home. A visit would not be a visit without a slice of the pizza. I just love their pizza. I am watching my calories right now or I would have ordered a medium size pizza for myself. My parents dined in here once and have since been getting their pizza and sandwiches to go, for my family and I. I will start by saying - their grandmom pizza is SOOO good. My family loves the grandmom style pizza - usually a square pizza, sauce pesto or fresh basil . Their version is so good! It really truly tastes fresh and I love their sauce ! The crust on it is also really good. It's definitely the only grandmom I want to eat. I also have had their meatball parm sandwich from takeout which was pretty solid - again I think because they have a very good sauce. This is the same family as the old Pizza & Pasta which we went to regularly as kids with my parents. Glad to see the family is back and putting out high quality food ! This restaurant is a hidden gem. I'm almost afraid to post this, because of the crowd that will show up. It is in the Weis shopping center on York Road. My husband and I were greeted by Beth who was our server. She was very pleasant and helped us with our decision . We ordered Adrian's favorite pasta dish and a chicken Caesar salad. The salad was fabulous. The plate and salad were cold and the chicken was hot and tender. The dressing was perfect. Not too salty. My pasta dish had shrimp, some crab, mozzarella balls,and a wonderful sauce. We were going to get the Tiramasu but we' were too full. This might be the thickest regular pizza I have ever got and overall taste was average. Their other food may be great but this pizza is NOT thin nor very good. Love at first crunch! I noticed this new shop next to Weis and stopped for a takeout slice. Plain pizza is a pretty good baseline- and this slice was phenomenal. From the kind hospitality as soon as my family and I walked through the front door, to the great waitress, and delicious food, this place was excellent! We were driving through town and decided to stop here without reading any prior reviews. Only checking out the menu quickly beforehand, we all decided on pizza slices and they were great!
