I hired Amado plumbing to install a downspout in my tub. It was installed but was positioned at an angle. A piece of the tile was chipped and open to the dry wall. I called him back to center and fix the downspout. I asked him to please be careful of my plants since he had to enter from the outside of my outside wall. I told him I wanted to inspect the work but he left very quickly without any communication. I discovered my plants were destroyed without any communication from him. I find this treatment and the poor installation of the down spout with a call to come back and fix the problem to be unprofessional with an uncaring attitude of the damage he did to my plants which will not survive his clipping major branches. read more

My husband wasn't home and I think The guy takes advantage of "single" women. I knew he was overcharging me but since he showed up very quickly after I called, I saw it as an additional fee. Before we got to the small issue, we looked under the house and saw sewer water everywhere. My 75 year old pipes had finally given out. They started that afternoon and replaced all my sewer pipes under the house. He even replaced some pipes that he hadn't quoted on, and cleaned out my main sewer line without charging me. They were under my house for six days. They seem to have done a great job on this big job. Oh, and the small but quirky job I originally called him out for? Fixed that too at no additional charge. I think that is inappropriate and the little guy, his employee just takes it. Lynn is a bit of a bully. Had Lynn out to clear a blockage in a toilet in an apartment. He was not able to clear it right awayand due to another person wanting to use another plumber had to ask him to stop his work. They would have likely cleared it if given time. I spoke to the office and they agreed to zero out the invoice, we compromised at a reduced amount. Used Amado plumbing years ago and had a terrible experience and was telling the story to my sister about the nightmare and she said I should write a review. Well here goes, I'm in the middle of remodeling my kitchen and bathroom so let me paint the picture. The entire floor and all the cabinets were out all the pipes were exposed from the top. Well the house was built in 1920 and had classic lath and plaster walls and ceilings. Our bedroom was directly under the kitchen. So they had a leak somewhere along the line and I told them about it. Well Lynn sent out one of his guys at 60 bucks an hour who did not even speak English. I explained to Lynn and this guy that all the pipes were exposed upstairs and I had to go to work and could they fix the problem before we put the floor and the cabinets in. Fine! I come home to find a 3 foot by 4 foot hole in my ceiling. Now you have to appreciate this I could see right up through the roof to the kitchen. He said he needed to "get to the pipes" WHAT! It was totally exposed from upstairs! I was and still am livid. Another story I had pine trees in my front yard the branches however were probably 10 feet up. Well I was out watching this guy sweat pipes and he lights my tree on fire! Luckily was put out with a fire extinguisher that he had. He almost was responsible for burning down a neighborhood that is the oldest in the area. Nuff said. Just a bad idea. read more

The initial quote was almost double what I expected plus there was a little too much bullshit about how he would push 3 other jobs aside to do mine first, etc. I countered that my job was not that urgent, did not need to be so perfect, etc. etc and eventually got the price quite close to what I expected. Then he showed up first thing next morning as he obviously did not have 3 other jobs. Quality seemed fine, so just watch out for the opportunist/bullshit talk and bargain him down to about 1/2 the original quote. read more
