This place is small, but quaint. The place gets 3 stars for now.. The food is actually good with the exception of the bottled salsa they use which throws me off, because this place seems like a authentic little mom & pops Mexican spot. Definitely a disappointment because I love me some homemade salsa. Bummer .. food was fresh and tasty. Lady came by a few times to make sure we were good, and pretty clean. Prices are very reasonable. They have a big tv on which I believe was a cable channel playing. Boy next door was on with Jennifer Lopez and oh boy here comes a SEX scene and I'm there eating with my daughter ‍ you hear Moaning and groaning as we were eating. I'm talking to my daughter trying to distract her hoping she's not paying attention. Lucky her back was turned from where the TV was facing. Geez.. Anyway all and all I would come back and give it another shot, but definitely not with my kids.. Just incase! read more

LOVE Amada's and it's become one of our go-to restaurants when in the Washingtonville area. Not easy to find authentic Mexican food and Amada's continuously knocks it out of the park. We recently made a catering order and the food and pricing were both excellent. They even threw in a free tray of dessert on the house. Can't say enough good things about Amada's! read more

Delicious food but the waitress was really nasty. Such a shame because the food was great but i dont think I would go back because of the waitress's attitude. I order a margarita and so did my husband but mind was very salty. I called the server and she was happy to exchange it for me but our waitress promptly stop her and came back to our table and said she would have to charge us for another one. I explained to her that even though I ask for salt on the rim I didn't ask for the actual drink to be salty!!! She finally exchange my drink but her attitude and the way she talk to me completely shattered any possibility of us going back there. It could have been a nice experience if it wasn't because she complete turn on us when I complained about the drink been salty honestly impossible to drink . Good food but rude waitress. read more

My husband and I along with our four children had a bunch of different foods from Amadas. There empanadas were very good. The staff here is so friendly, seating is limited, the inside is small but nice. It's clean and table service was quick. Prices are reasonable. Check Amadas out if your in the area read more

I'll still give them four stars because it was my fault ordering a Cubano in a Mexican restaurant. They use salami among the regular ingredients and do not use pickles. Every Cubano and every recipe uses pickles. Stick with the Mexican food and the breakfast menu and you won't go wrong read more

Driving by trying to find a place to eat for Valentine's because my boyfriend and I were in the area for the weekend. He said what about this place,since it wasn't too crowded, and I agreed and I'm glad I did. Staff was super friendly and inviting. I had the chicken fajitas which were delicious, couldn't stop eating them. My boyfriend had the enchiladas and ate it all! I am new to the area. I just moved here maybe 3 weeks ago. And my all time favorite food is Mexican. I live in monroe, so as you can see there are already plenty to choose from. Well i went to the majority of them and found none to be pleasing. My friend was telling me that Washingtonville had amazing food. So i ponder over whether I should go or not. Alas, curiosity got the best of me. There are exactly 2 Mexican restaurants in the village. I went to the Villa first because i heard it was new. To my dismay they were horrible. I would never go back again. So the following day i went to Amadas to give them a try. As i walk in you can see that the place has a homey feel to it. Its a quaint little place. But to my suprise it was quite busy. 4 of the 5 tables were taken. The only one left was the table of 6. As I sat down, all I could think of was that the Waitress was going to move me. She comes over with menu in hand and greeted me very nicely. She didn't move me, to my suprise. She asked if i would like something to drink and proceeded to tell me about the options they had. Including alcoholic beverages. I had a Margarita. And may i say, it was one of the most amazing Margaritas i have ever had. Not too strong and not too sour. It was perfect. This was the moment that i knew i had found my favorite spot. She was quick, efficient. And she was smiling the whole time. The menu had countless options. I ended up having their Bistec Ala Mexicana. By the time my food came out almost eveyone was gone. It was just me and one other table. I could smell my steak as soon as she walked out. Even though I knew she had things to do, the Waitress made sure i had everything I needed. I felt bad because i asked for something and when she braught it i had realized i needed something else as well. She didnt seem to mind. Finally as i take my first bite, i was able to see the road to happiness. The Steak was soo good. It was juicy and tender and it wasnt chewy. It tasted all fresh. And i was sure i got fresh rice and beans. It was sooo good i had to get an order to go for dinner. The churros were fantastic, and my favorite are the vanilla!! This place is honestly a gem in washingtonville. And what i loved the most was that the waitress was so kind, and she made sure i was good. And when everyone left she made small talk with me. Wich not a lot of people do. I cant for the life of me remember her name. But she's short and wears glasses. I have a gluten allergy and she was happy to explain to me that my steak was cooked on a seperate pan and that if it was ok if she didnt give me chips because they were fried with other things that did have gluten and that she didnt want me to get a reaction. You dont find that type of attention anymore. Especially with details like that. I am making this place my weekly ritual. And im telling everyone of my friends about it with much enthusiasm. LOVE IT! Ever since the first day I walked in here, Amada has greeted me with a smile. She loves to get to know her customers and is really friendly to everyone. She actually cares about her customers. The menu's selection goes from burgers, wraps, salads to authentic tacos, burritos, empanadas, etc. The portions are good & the prices are fair. You will not be disappointed. I've had almost everything from here and it is all FRESH unlike most Mexican restaurants where the food is overpowered by salt. Definitely order the Tostadas! Don't hesitate to go there for some great food. We have been here probably 10 times since it became Amada's. So much better than the previous owners in this space. Great Mexican but they have other options as well. Family-owned and very friendly. And reasonably priced. I honestly have not had anything i did not enjoy. Churros for dessert are tasty also. We will continue to frequent this establishment. Parking is best behind the building in the public lot but there are a few spots right on the street in front. Enjoy. read more

I was very pleasantly surprised with how good and authentic the food was here. The staff was extremely friendly and active and we must have waited less than 10 minutes for our food. The quality and taste of the food was fantastic and the drinks were delicious. (I highly recommend the margaritas.) Will definitely be coming back here every chance we get! read more

I am now going. A few months later after my initial review.. The food there is still really good and we have supported the restaurant by eating there and telling friends about it..today however I have to take 1 1/2 stars away from it. I had a very nice lunch there but when I got my bill I noticed that the price of my dish was higher than that on the menu.l asked my server why the price was different than what was in the menu. She said.."We raised our prices on some dishes" I said you can't give someone a bill with a different price than is on the menu " she said they did and didn't offer to compensate and give me the price on the menu..I am sorry that is incredibly unprofessional and not the way to run a business..I am very disappointed with them...I will continue to eat there but their standing has fallen as far as I'm concerned read more
