Terrible service! We ordered a refrigerator from AJ MADISON almost two months ago to meet us at our new home in Texas. We were promised a delivery date window of a week June 10-17. We were supposed to get a call prior to delivery but never received a call. I had to call to ask what was the status of delivery. Then they tried to make an excuse and say that the reason it wasn't delivered was because a special person had to install to refrigerator. (Why not tell us this during the first three times we called?) I really believe that someone dropped the ball and it seems difficult for them to be honest about that. We had a home delivery scheduled for a specific day and time window. My wife and I were both home, as well as a dog that barks when there is a knock at the door or doorbell, yet the AM Home Delivery guy somehow "attempted" to make a delivery and "quietly" left a door hanger on our door. We live in a single family home without a gate or any restrictions to access the front door. I called the company and they said they could not send him back, but would reschedule for a $75.00 rebooking fee. My guess is this is a revenue generating approach to business. Horrible communication, horrible customer service. They do not accommodate the customer. I work m-f 40 hours a week as does my husband as well as my neighbors. They just assume we all just sit at home and eat bonbons all day and not work. I told them for 2 weeks I would be available on this certain Monday in the afternoon. Did they accommodate? No. They said they can only deliver it Wednesday or Thursday. They also say they don't deliver on Saturdays. So I had to take off work drive home and sign for this package. I even asked if it could be left without signature and I take responsibility. The answer was no. For 2 weeks I had to call this company each day to cancel the delivery. And sometimes they still showed up at the house. Communication is very poor. I'm not sure if there's a language barrier as everyone I speak to when I call is obviously not originally from the USA or if they are just ignorant. I even asked for a manager. They say it won't be necessary. Next time I hear someone uses am home delivery I will run far far away. Never again. I don't like the games they like to play. Here is my (sad) experience: They did not provide the up-to-date professional equipment as orally promised, but a dolly with worn out bumper straps. Their "extra man" (an upcharge here) they required for moving this heavy refrigerator up stairs was clearly added last minute, showed little expertise, experience, or even muscle. Their release language (described orally as "the industry usual") excluded the damages they made during delivery. AM was the last mile add-on for the free delivery of a new refrigerator. This is by far the worst delivery experience I have ever had. I received and email, phone call and text letting me know when the delivery date would be fit my furniture purchased through Poly and Bark. So I planned accordingly. The night before at 4:30 pm, I got a call from AM delivery from ALBERT, probably not his real name, saying they would be in my neighborhood and wondered if it would be ok to drop deliver the furniture that night at 9:30 pm. I of course said no. That is not an appropriate time to deliver anything except pizza. I already had plans and told him I wouldn't be available. I told him if he could be there by 6 pm I would be able to accept delivery at that time. He said he wasn't sure and Then we ended the call with him saying, I'll call you if we are able to make that time. He called back and asked again if I was sure I couldn't take the delivery at 9:30 pm and offered and alternative time of 6:30 am the next morning, (my original delivery time was supposed to be between 11a -3p.) apparently I was their last stop in Oklahoma and they were trying to get back to Dallas. At that point, I called my son and we did a conference call with "Albert" Albert proceeded to say that it would either be 9:30 pm or 6:30 am the following day. My son told him this is not acceptable nor normal business practice but that we would accommodate a 7am time for delivery The following day. They showed up at 730 after we called them two times bc they had not showed. Albert sent a text with the first unanswered call, saying he would was 15 mins out...with the second call he picked up and said he was 6 minutes away. They got here in the pouring rain and tried to open my new leather furniture in the rain. I said no to opening it in the rain. And the other guy suggested I move my car from the garage to accommodate the large sofa box. And of course I did. They also had no order for assembly of the legs on the furniture. They asked me for proof of that and I showed them the order of delivery and assembly that I had paid $150 extra for. Albert was so put out by this and he said he would need to take a picture of that bc they had no record if it. Showing me his phone with his delivery instruction. Of course I said I'll send it to you and he said no I need to take a picture. I had the phone out for him to take pictures or whatever he needed to do but his attitude as so bad and By this time I as done dealing with them. Albert had the worst attitude I have ever seen in a customer service position. I told them never mind just get the hell out of there and have safe travels. Albert turned and walked out the door and the other guy was nice and said sorry about this. He was at least acknowledging there was a big problem with how it all went down. Tracking on their website is NOT GOOD, customer service was curt and uncaring (on the second call, when I wasn't kept on hold for 5 minutes until automatically transferred to voicemail like the first call). About 3 hours later I received multiple emails and texts changing the date and time of the delivery and installation to a DIFFERENT DAY. I called the number provided because after CONFIRMING with the company TWICE about the original day and time. I had made other appointments based around the delivery date. I am supposed to receive 3 day notice and received 1 day's notice. I called MULTIPLE times and was given the run around by managers. Finally I got Caesar the Routing Manager on the phone and he REFUSED to help, or honor the original delivery date and time. I had an order from Appliance Connection AM Home Delivery was supposed to deliver my order and take it up a flight of stairs which I paid an extra $29.99 for. When Willie and Angel got to my house for the delivery they told me that AM Home Delivery does not take anything upstairs and that Appliance Connection was lying to get the sale. I immediately called Appliance Connections who informed me this is not true and asked me for the delivery drivers phone number, they called them 5 times and they would not answer they simply pulled off and never returned. I got on AM Home Delivery website and right there was information about how they take items up stairs and can even take doors off if needed!!! By the next day Willie and Angel had come up with some story that I refused to sign a waiver because they would have gotten mud on my carpet. A COMPLETE LIE!!! They never tracked any mud in my house at all I didn't have to clean up anything after them. They made up this lie to cover themselves. Then AM Home Delivery informed me that I would have to pay an extra $75 for them to come out since they had already come and I refused to sign this so called waiver.. I never was given a waiver or anything else but they kept sticking to the lie. I had to go through so many people to get someone to come back out... and the fact that they delivered on a Thursday right before the holiday weekend meant I had a huge box in the middle of my floor for the holiday, they also didn't make it any priority to come back out I had to wait 2 WHOLE WEEKS for the next crew to come. AM Home Delivery has some CROOKS working there and then they try to get extra money out of you!!! All of this after I waited forever for the product to even be delivered because they missed the first delivery date that was on their tracking website and when I called they said "I am not sure why its not being delivered its been sitting here at the dock" The next time I order anything if the shipping company is AM Home Delivery I will just go elsewhere I never want to deal with them again, SCAM Artist and LIARS read more
