I was from out-of-state and looking for an extraordinary and skilled artist to design a floral tribute for my brother's memorial. It had to do him justice. I first commissioned this shop to do the casket blanket for his viewing. I sent them a photo as a guide and what they created took my breath away when I walked into the chapel. We then ordered standing floral arrangements. I relied on their imagination for my BROTHER floral tribute, but my mom wanted red roses for her tribute to her SON. We were not disappointed. These artists pay so much attention to detail that even the wooden legs on their stands are decorated in ribbons of complementary colors. They ended up designing several floral tributes for others who attended my brother's memorial. Seems we weren't the only ones who were impressed by that original casket blanket. read more

Let me preface w/I will order from Aly's again, because they have very fair prices, I was overall satisfied with what was delivered (3 stars means satisfactory to me), and they delivered on time, which turned out to be the most important part of my order. Pros: Very friendly customer service when ordering over the phone w/Dwight. I told him I had visited their website, appreciated that they had photos of arrangements, and liked #149 and wanted to order that. He clarified that I liked the purple colors and advised me that the arrangement as shown was $75+tax+dlvry($5 cuz I mentioned Yelp, I think), and that it would not look exactly as the photo, but that that was an example. I wanted something in the $40 range and I understood seasonal issues with flowers. My requests were 4: I wanted to stay at $40(+tax+dlvry), I wanted the purple of #149 w/some white roses would be ok, I wanted the roses to be in individual water tubes so we could take them out of the arrangement and place them at the cemetery, and to please make 1 of the roses red to represent the love of my friend's husband, who we would be visiting at the cemetery. He thought the red would look odd in the purple arrangement, but said that he would make it look very nice for my friend. I think if I would have reiterated the 4 points as clearly as I have here, I would have been very happy with what was received, so I'll say it was a lack of communication on my part. The day of, the flowers were delivered as promised to the Airtel Hotel at 11am. I had a surprise bday lunch for my friend and the flowers were to be the centerpiece. Our reservation was originally for 11:45, but at 10:30 I had to move it up to 11:15. So the fact that the delivery was on time and that it was placed and the table looked beautiful for her surprise lunch, was all that I cared about. What the arrangement looked like was ok, but I wouldn't have selected it from a gallery of options. Instead of multiple purple flowers, w/some white roses and a single red, my friend received 3 white roses, 2 lavender roses, 1 red rose and some white with purple tipped small orchid stems, baby's breath and greens, red ribbons and a red teddy bear. A red teddy bear?! That was very odd. Paired w/the red ribbons made red the primary color that was observed. There were NO other purple flowers in the bouquet. I know flowers are seasonal, but I would hope, based on the photo of #149, I would have seen some sort of other purple field flowers, certainly purple ribbon, and definitely NOT a red teddy bear! lol Overall, the arrangement was pretty, my friend liked it, I appreciated that we could remove the roses and place them at the cemetery and, most importantly they were ON TIME! She was one of the few I called; she was so helpful and pleasant and even asked what color my daughter was wearing so she can help me decide on the colors.
