I've been dealing with AC issues, and the same mopey incompetent tech, for over a month now…read more My Landscapers, scheduled to come the first Tuesday of every month, show up seemingly whenever they feel like it. I once had a house cleaner show up, hoping for a nice, once a year, thorough cleaning. She cleaned with one hand, while talking on her phone with the other. Why am I telling you this? Maybe just to illustrate that the old axiom "It's tough to find good help these days," is alive and well on the Space Coast. Or maybe I just want to draw a contrast between crappy service and the incredible 5-star service I've been getting from Space Coast Pools. I think this guy deserves at least 3 stars just for showing up when he says he will and for being communicative beyond what I expected. He earned the other 2 after the fact. I first called Space Coast Pools, and several other Pool Maintenance companies, all of whom I had to leave messages for. (Understood in that I called during the day, when I'm sure they were busy working.) Brandon called me back within an hour. Only one other company even called me back at all and that was several days later. When I ended my call with Space Coast Pools, Brandon thanked me for "the opportunity to 'earn' his business." I think my heart skipped a beat. On our initial meeting my pool looked like a FROG SWAMP. It would not have surprised to see an alligator. Brandon didn't hesitate. He added some things to my pool (without any kind of agreement or contract), gave me a good quote for service and promised to be back Tuesday (it was Saturday) to inspect his work and continue service. Again he thanked me for "the opportunity to 'earn' his business." The very next day our pool was gorgeous. Since then, the pool has never been less than crystal clear and inviting. Plus Brandon remains punctual, polite, and communicative beyond expectation. The only reason I would ever stop using Space Coast Pools is if I die or move to a house without a pool. Even then I might call them!

This job was done and I would not hire anyone else to do your pool. Kori is very fair in pricing and much lower than the bigger companies. However, he does not sacrifice any ounce of quality workmanship. He can be busy since it is Florida so patience is key, if you want things done correctly. More expensive, and quick, may not mean quality! Sorry for my lack in getting you this review sooner, it's been a long year as you can expect.

Just over a year after installation, the new pool coating is failing. Multiple pool companies have…read moreinspected it and identified that the surface was not properly prepared prior to application. There are numerous voids where the coating did not adhere to the pool shell. Those sections are now discolored, and calcium flakes are forming where air voids exist behind the coating. Best Florida Pool and Spas acid washed the surface earlier this year. This would have been an opportunity to identify the adhesion problem, but the issue was either not recognized or not communicated to me. Separately, Best Florida Pool and Spas installed a heater a few years ago that remains under warranty. The circuit board has failed. I have requested the purchase invoice needed to file a warranty claim, and they have not provided it. My recommendation to anyone considering this company: put a formal written contract in place before proceeding, so that you have clear documentation and legal recourse if problems arise.

I used Red Rhino located in Brevard County. They came out for a fee that was applied to the cost if…read moreI hired them. They did find the leaks, repaired them and sealed the concrete deck back up. I am very pleased with that part of the job. HOWEVER, in patching the work area holes, the bag said the mortar was tan. My deck is concrete grey. I pointed that out to the worker. He looked me in the eye and said that when it dried it will perfectly match. I have painted a house before that the paint color did not look right while applying it, but turned the right color after it dried so, I accepted his assurance. However, It remains TAN, When I called them back to share that the color is still tan, the worker told me to redo it would mean that it would not be as level or look as good as it is now so, to not have a trip hazard on the pool deck, I left it as is, a TAN patch.

Attentive at first, service starts to go downhill over time. I used this service for three years…read moreand in the beginning, they were good - attentive, consistent, reliable. Over the three years, and multiple service techs, responsiveness and consistency eroded to poor performance. Personnel turnover is an issue. Consumers should beware. Techs seem to last about 2-3 months, then a new person will show up - on any given day (I've had a tech - someone I'd never met before - show up on a Sunday when my regular service day was Friday). I had a leak in my pump return line and it took two weeks to get a response, then when communicated they would be there the next day, nobody showed up. I went from being a priority to being a nuisance - there are a lot more companies out there who want your business, similarly priced, and won't treat you like a nuisance. Go elsewhere.

Zach was hired to clean our pool for 3 months and was paid in advance. He was to come every week…read moreonce a week while we were out of town. He came once on 4/26 and stood around while his mother cleaned. Its all on camera. On 4/28 he came back to our house, called said that the pump was broken and needed repair. He would get it done. He called back and said the pump was fixed and wanted a total of $475 for the work. He was paid and he assured us that the pump was working by calling and saying listen to the pump. Again on camera. 20 days later we saw that the pool was turning a dark shade of green and we realized he had not been back to the pool to clean. When contacted he admitted he had not been there because his identity was stolen. Since he apparently wasn't going to clean telling us that he could get it fixed before 'we got home", we contracted with someone else to do the cleaning. When that person came to do the estimate, he said that the pool pump was not even installed. Zach wrote on the box that he had done the work as well. When contacted he made more excuses and after we threatened to call the cops for theft he showed up and put the pump back. He said it wouldn't work because of electrical issues. When we had the pump replaced, the one Zach said he fixed had not had any new parts as stated. IN OTHER WORDS HE LIED STOLE AND CONNED. Now he claims he checked it at home and it worked but hard to say that when a reputable local dealer said nothing had been done. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY. AND THE REVIEWS HE HAS POSTED ARE FROM HIM AND HIS FAMILY...NOW THAT I LOOK AT IT.
