Or maybe I just want to draw a contrast between crappy service and the incredible 5-star service I've been getting from Space Coast Pools. I think this guy deserves at least 3 stars just for showing up when he says he will and for being communicative beyond what I expected. He earned the other 2 after the fact. I first called Space Coast Pools, and several other Pool Maintenance companies, all of whom I had to leave messages for. (Understood in that I called during the day, when I'm sure they were busy working.) Brandon called me back within an hour. Only one other company even called me back at all and that was several days later. When I ended my call with Space Coast Pools, Brandon thanked me for "the opportunity to 'earn' his business." I think my heart skipped a beat. On our initial meeting my pool looked like a FROG SWAMP. It would not have surprised to see an alligator. Brandon didn't hesitate. He added some things to my pool (without any kind of agreement or contract), gave me a good quote for service and promised to be back Tuesday (it was Saturday) to inspect his work and continue service. Friday comes and goes and now it's been 3 weeks and 3 phone calls to BJ and still no one showed up and no return calls from BJ... we cancelled them and found a better pool company who actually does what we pay them for. They not only estimated an unrealistic time schedule and promised my pool would be recovered within 12 days, but then kept making excuses on why they couldn't start the recovery. They sent their kids out to look at the pool and talk on their cell phones, dump some chlorine and charge me for each visit with no vacuuming of debris. I tried to contact the person in charge of the clean up several times and kept getting the run around. No communication on the treatment and clean up plan or the actual schedule of visits. When I called the office to talk to the manager, I got the same shell game treatment. The day I was going to call and fire them, the manager called to tell me they could not finish the job. She said the owner thought it was a good idea for me to find another company. The owner didn't even have the courage to call me himself. Stay away from 365 Pool Service; they are scammers!
